  1. Right. So what you're actually wanting is to get rid of that blue overlay that it gives. You shouldn't have it. I don't get that on OpenJK. I'm going to move this to the OpenJK forum and see if any of them can help. Particularly the Mac devs. @@redsaurus @@Xycaleth
  2. So even when you open QT and begin recording and then switch back to the game, it doesn't change? Or it changes but QT isn't capturing it? I just tested basically what you're doing and it works fine for me. Or it appears to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es6tZSRWsRg Although I do remember having that issue even on OpenJK a couple years ago. Perhaps it was fixed on an OS level? You're running an older version of OS X, which might be why. But I'm really not sure at all.
  3. Well, your explorer doesn't look normal. Do you have some kind of custom theme or something?
  4. It shouldn't change the color... that's strange. What are you using to record?
  5. Okay, so do those other two steps I mentioned.
  6. Did you press Enter when it asked? Looks like you aborted the installation instead.
  7. Just remembered. You need Homebrew. Follow this: http://brew.sh Then in Terminal: brew install sdl2 If it says its installed but not linked, type this: brew link sdl2 I should put that in that tutorial...
  8. Well, if that's what you downloaded, I'd assume it's the correct one. What happens if you go to Finder, click Go, Go to Folder and paste this in and press enter: /usr/local/opt/sdl2/lib/ Is libSDL2-2.0.0.dylib there?

    Gamemode idea

New gamemodes would be an epic way to give the community a boost. The mode you're referring to is one of my favorite modes to play in games (CS, COD, etc). In FPS games, it requires a lot more strategy. Could be paired with this Search and Destroy map/concept: How to play and host Search and Destroy If the map actually worked, that is.
  10. .warnbox { background: #e3f6e5 url( images/icons/exclamation.png ) no-repeat 9px 10px; border: 1px solid #b4e3b9; color: #475949; } Topic moved to Jedi Knight Tech Support. If he installed it correctly, it should be able to find it though.
  11. Isn't it an overall security setting? You can set it to the lowest setting and should remove that. Not sure though, I rarely use Windows.
  12. I'm assuming you've made sure Chrome is up to date? If you can't find anything online from other people, it may be just you. Maybe try reinstalling Chrome.
  13. Well, the one you posted shows SDL 2.0.0 so I'd hope the new one shows 2.0.4. I just updated my OpenJK with the latest build and it works fine for me. Hmm. Strange. I'm trying to remember all the things I've run into like this in the past. The main difference I can see at first is that you're running OS X 10.9, whereas I'm on 10.11. Add me on Skype or Discord or Steam and maybe I can help you better. (info in my profile)
  14. Make sure it's installed in ~/Library/Frameworks and not /Users/USER/Library/Frameworks Also make sure you downloaded the SDL Mac version (DMG file) of 2.0.4 and that you downloaded the most recent version of OpenJK at http://builds.openjk.org
  15. @@Thunderbird Put the openjk apps in this directory: /Users/USER/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.jediacademy.appstore/Data/Library/Application Support Your main base folder should be there as well. It gets messy if you're messing with the inside of the actual JKA app. EDIT: I see that you are using that directory...my bad. Are you sure you have the right SDL version and installed it correctly?

    Dengar

Probably not, since I'm sure it has to do with being high-poly.
  17. Eh. That would look goofy. Best case scenario is to just disable weapon pickups. Maybe I'll see if we could have that as a cvar in JKE (which this mod will be using).
  18. That just made the dead NPC disappear completely. Perhaps @@therfiles knows of a way through scripting? Not sure how it would even work through script though. If it were a setting, it would make more sense to be a cvar or a key in worldspawn.

    Dengar

Definitely crashed after spawning a few. Looks good though.
  20. This is unique to the Mac versions of JK2 and JKA. OpenJK fixes the issue, however. Perhaps @@redsaurus or @@Xycaleth can elaborate more.
  21. I believe they update it every few years. I remember seeing it in 2006 and it was extremely lame. Went back in 2014 and it was epic.
  22. Not really wanting it to stand out, honestly. If anything I want it to be on par with the SP maps. If people want to donate models for me to use, then by all means. I just want to make these levels become a reality. All the good mappers that do amazing mapping and modeling work are either long gone or are not interested in helping. So I'm doing it myself. Also, in my opinion, you can make things look really good in this engine, but it's still JKA. There's only so much you can do. I'm not about to try to make a map look like it does in Battlefront. EDIT: Is it possible to disable weapon pickups on a map? Or disable NPC dropping weapons upon death? I want my NPCs to have a variety of weapons, but I don't want the player to pick them up.
  23. Why not contribute to other projects that need mappers?
  24. Very small update. This is taking a lot longer than it should because I'm learning as I'm going. This will be the end of the map. You reach the sandcrawler of the jawas that had taken R2 and C3PO. Stuff goes down. Jawas get extremely angry. Would love to have that womp rat model soon @@Boothand. I may need to place howlers or mine monsters as placeholders until I get that.
  25. Relevant: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/889-kotorblender/ Have fun. I'm sure 90% of people here have the KOTOR games at least in their Steam library. They've been on sale for like $3 multiple times in recent years.
