  1. Why did you pull the files from the general public? Unless you're wanting it to be under tighter wraps while it's in development without the builds floating around all over the place.
  2. Applying your changes back one-by-one that you had implemented yesterday or just restoring the build to the last stable one that you had before all of the new commits?
  3. I don't think moving the mod to multiplayer would really work, unless you just created a map-pack. I think that it should stay singleplayer. Have you been able to overcome the issues you were having with Rend2 working with singleplayer, or were you referring to using it if you were to switch things over to multiplayer? I wrote you awhile back asking about mapping but you never got back to me if the map I was interested in was still being worked on.

  6. Ah okay, so the model would need to be UV mapped again once it's imported? Good to know. I just discovered Noesis which allows you to convert from ASE to MD3 and appears to keep the texture mapping in place. Thanks for your feedback!
  7. Yeah, it's the ASE importer from your suite. I don't see any textures even when it's set to rendered mode.
  8. Currently using Blender v2.71 but also tested this with Blender v2.64. I've converted the top/lower portions of a door in my map into two separate ASE models, which I want to convert to MD3 so I can animate them to move. After importing one of the models into Blender it doesn't have any textures on it, even after switching to the 'textured' view. If I select sections (objects) of my model it lists which texture it should have applied under the 'texture' tab but there are no textures imported into the program. I'm working out of the game's base directory, the model is located in /base/models/map_objects and the textures are located in the /base/textures folder. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
  9. I use Wondershare for ripping my DVDs and notice its settings aren't the best and there aren't a lot of advanced features for the user to change. It automatically tries to do a lot of things and leaving it at default doesn't always yield the best results. You might be better off in the future by using editing software such as Sony Vegas that allows you to specify all of your video settings manually if you so choose and avoiding loss of quality.

  11. It's been a long time since I've done any scripting, but isn't it possible to flag the prisoner NPC as an 'enemy'? That way he'll appear friendly to the stormtrooper NPCs and then you can set 'notarget' on the prisoner as well so he will ignore you and not attack.
  12. No, having some different issues on my end and I'm using the exe and dll that was provided. When starting a new game, it doesn't load the text-scrawl/video and goes directly to the level. Once loaded, the camera starts glitching from me standing on the table with the mercenary also standing up on the table stuck halfway into the ceiling. I have a lightsaber in hand that doesn't activate and I have to rush into the bar area to grab the E-11 blaster. I reloaded from checkpoint after dying and that started the text-crawl/video and then loaded me ingame with the default JKA pistol. It was also using the regular Kyle model and not the one you created.
  13. I did a quick search of the main directory and didn't find anything relating to the outside of the Dantooine Enclave or the Dreshdae spaceport (besides some prefabs). Did I miss these, or were the original assets lost?
  14. Great work! Very reminiscent of LivingDeadJedi's SP campaign "Nemesis of Katarn" for Jedi Outcast. Is "Cloudy" set during the films or another time period?

  17. Which would, essentially, finish off JKA for good if it was shut down if it wasn't for the JKHub Master server. Unless of course you manually enter the IP of the server you want to join. Although, new players probably wouldn't take the time to look into why no servers are being listed. I guess at that point it would turn into a single-player game only.

  20. You are correct. Vanessa Marshall also voiced Jan Ors in Jedi Outcast.
  21. I think your best bet would be to position the camera in such a way as to make the ship look larger than it actually is. As to the engineers working on the ship, I'd make a separate room with only a larger section of the star destroyer that they're working on, but not show the entire side of the ship.
  22. I'm using GTKRadiant 1.6.4 and have ran into the same issue. If I try and compile with anything less than the (test) or (final) compile options, the map will not overwrite the previously compiled bsp file.
  23. Why do you say that Radiant is harder to use than Blender? It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. It's much faster, in my opinion, to draw out the BSP, apply textures, add lighting, and compile rather than open up a 3D modeling program and model the entire map and hope that the geometry carries over correctly.
  24. In the case of maps I assume this would mean include the .map file somewhere within the pk3 file? Or does it have to be by itself outside of a container file. I know a pk3 is basically a ZIP, but still.
  25. That sounds like what happens when your color depth is changed for the game. If you Alt+Tab out of the game is your whole desktop that color as well? If so, Steam Overlay is affected by that while you're ingame.
