AP-421 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Can't find any episode 3 Obi Wan skins for JK2 SP. It would be awesome to play as him in sp. Also it would be cool if he has his ep 3 hilt.

Rayce Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 There was no Obi-Wan in JO... Maybe you mean Morgan Katarn? He wants a new model of Obi-Wan to play as in SP instead of Kyle. Langerd and Darth Sion like this
AP-421 Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 I have no idea how to do that. I've looked into it but most of the steps seem to require programs that only work on pc not mac. It doesn't even have to be an entirely new model but if someone did a replacement with Hapslash's episode 3 Obi Wan it would work perfect and his ep 3 hilt replacing katarn's.
Psyk0Sith Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 You only need something that will compress to .zip and a cheap ass text editor. Maksman likes this
AP-421 Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 Any good tutorials? Ive tried this http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/935881-star-wars-the-best-of-pc/faqs/24960 but I'm stuck.. two things when I rename my model_default.txt back to model_default.skin it doesn't seem to change back from the text file into the skin file and also when I change the zip file to pk3 it doesn't seem to change.
AP-421 Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 NVM I got over both of those now quick question, do I have to delete all the other folders in the directory other than the models folder for it to work? because I got the pk3 to in base but now my game auto crashes when i launch it
AP-421 Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 UPDATE: I Finally got kenobi to replace katarn BUT he looks deformed. What I did was I zipped the "models" folder and made that my pk3 and put it in base but now I am really stumped..
TheWhitePhoenix Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Errr, deformed HOW exactly? AP-421 likes this
Langerd Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Here are some screen shots Daymn OnO Hmm not sure he is using the jk2 skeleton in good way (i think it is the main issue here )
Ramikad Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Yep. That's exactly what happens when you import a Jedi Academy model into Jedi Outcast. That's because the skeletons used to rig the characters in the two games are different, in the specific, the Jedi Outcast _humanoid skeleton has a few more bones. You'd have to re-rig the model with the Jedi Outcast skeleton to fix this. Merek likes this

(a little)
AP-421 Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 So it's not just as easy as "just do a replacement" then? So how does this get done?

Psyk0Sith Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 If the model was compiled for JK3 it will most likely go FUBAR when loaded in JK2, the solution is to reimport the model in blender (because it can also keep weights intact) then rename the hand bones to l_hand and r_hand instead of l_hang and r_hang. Once that is done, you will need to recompile it using the JK2 .gla. Someone that already knows how to work with blender should be able to do this quite easily.
