minilogoguy18 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Put it up on sketchfab, their normal and spec renders are decent and we can all view it in 3d. Specular strength can be adjusted.
AshuraDX Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 @@DT85 I might reskin that one for ya once I got my DL-44 finished, if you want me to
NumberWan Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Nice job. I wish we can see other models - the characters specifically - as well.

AshuraDX Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 @@DT85 It lacks a bit of dirt and wear in my opinion but other than that it's nice
Tempust85 Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 SketchFab: https://sketchfab.com/models/b509ea26f93046ca801e4d15bd6003de First time applying textures on this, so the settings may be a litte 'off'. I've dirtied up the texture and increased the scratches & chips somewhat. minilogoguy18 likes this
minilogoguy18 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I think it looks pretty good, I'd even call it finished just because it's a small model on screen, doesn't need a crazy amount of detail crammed in. Although I think everyone on the team would be stoked if you offered your skills in texturing @@AshuraDX since your power level recently made my scouter explode on my head... Tempust85 likes this
Tempust85 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 The model will also feature on the new game menu.
minilogoguy18 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Oh yeah, it still has enough detail for that.
AshuraDX Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 @@DT85 get rid of the edge chips in that top recess , right below the emitterthere is just no way those edges would chipI'd recommend erasing areas of the grunge overlay you put onthis time the surface is too scratched up EDIT : I'd suggest you install the xnormal photoshop filters - and use the dilation filter to get rid of unwanted white/black lines at the uv seams Tempust85 likes this
Ramikad Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Nice work. How about a broken version of the lightsaber, to use as model in level 16?
Tempust85 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 I'll worry about a broken one later. sketchfab link is updated with texture tweaks.
Barricade24 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I've always liked this hilt. Maybe I'll use it when I play through JKA again.
Tempust85 Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 On the menu now: Saber rotates with spec + env shader, and the blade flickers. Omicron, Circa, GPChannel and 2 others like this
GPChannel Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Amazing! but i think u should create a new saber blade
Tempust85 Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 Tbh, I've never had a problem with base JKA saber blades. Jeff, Rooxon, hhunter6 and 2 others like this
minilogoguy18 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Yeah, as long as dynamic glow is enabled they look fine.
Ramikad Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Base blades aren't bad, but personally I love the HD saber blades. Rooxon likes this
