Xycaleth Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I see it I've pin pointed where in the code it's crashing. Now I need to make sense of why it's crashing there
eezstreet Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 @@Xycaleth: would this perhaps be related to a similar edit I made to fix the SP renderer?
Xycaleth Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 @@eezstreet Nope, entirely different; the fix I'm making will need a lot of major work in the SP renderer.
Xycaleth Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 @@Szico VII I've fixed the problem with the default renderer (same problem happens there, given the same circumstances). I'll be making the fixes to rend2 over the next few days
Szico VII Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Sweet, let me know when its working! (There was a problem with default renderer? That always worked ok for me lol)
ensiform Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 It should be now but you'd need to compile yourself and/or wait for @@Xycaleth to make a rend2 build for you.
Xycaleth Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Well, it only took a few minutes to update rend2 in the end which I managed to quickly do before work. I'll be sending you an updated version tonight, @@Szico VII

eezstreet Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 The columns and the rug could use higher quality textures. Also the columns could benefit from a better specular shader in my opinion (rend2 has very, very nice support for specular shaders)
Tempust85 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I don't think OpenJK's rend2 has specular working, or at least it isn't in my tests.
minilogoguy18 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Even without being fully working it's already looking way better than the vanilla renderer. Good work all of you, can't wait to see more.
Xycaleth Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Looks great @@Szico VII I'll have a look at what's up with the specular and parallax next.
Guest KENNITHH Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Mann, now Im even tripping more but I guess itll take a half year before its in sof2 s branch Awesome job guys
Tempust85 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 It needs to be finished on MP, then ported to SP.

Kessno Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 REND2 - Courtesy of @@Xycaleth That looks like the opening sequence from Bioshock: Infinite. Did he recreate that in GTKRadiant to show off REND2, or is that using something else?

Guest KENNITHH Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Szico, could you give HDR and tone mapping a shot? Im really excited how this will be in the renderer as for csgo, without hdr, it looks like css which is a major improvement.
Szico VII Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Doesnt make any difference for me. Perhaps this requires a dynamic sun?
