  1. One thing that might help is having a role play community, I know some people are big into that, and I've never seen a JKHub one or section for it.
  2. http://tremulous.net/files/ Only better.
  3. You should just change the name to "Cool Trooper"
  4. It could be used as an update feature though...I just don't know if anyone was bothering to do that or not. Since ya know, smart pointers and auto are pretty cool 'n stuff. Though personally I'd advise against it since its from 2003, ye should stick to the original. Also I thought GCC had some issues with certain things in C++11, (I could be totally off the wall though).
  5. ^^Lack of responsibility and inability to accept that something is wrong with them or that one of their beliefs about the world is wrong.
  6. Does openjk use c++11 features, cause if it does GCC might have issues, Clang should be fine though.
  7. My favorite quote from this thread. Sorry...I'm doing it again aren't I?
  8. That's one that I agree could use a little clean up, nothing big, just a bunch of MIA posts...
  9. Sounds like you have a bad case of being a celebrity eezstreet.
  10. Oops. My quote was directed at SiLink's response, not you. Should have clarified.
  11. Very different.
  12. I hope @@Pande will have enough time one day to make a massive awesome Coruscant map.
  13. If only it were coming to JKA too.
  14. @@ChalklYne No, it just doesn't make sense. I think you meant to say something like, "I'll try not to be too critical of myself, but I would like it all at least to flow a bit nicer.
  15. @@Pande I may make a post if I have some more time this week. I've been focusing a lot on bug fixing the Launcher and haven't had much time for the game code itself.
  16. How about: "We reserve the right to remove illegal content". That way if it IS illegal, and a request to take it down is put in place- JKHub can do so and hopefully avoid legal entaglements. HOWEVER, if no complaint is made, it stays up. The staff might have the right to remove illegal content, but it doesn't mean they actually will.
  17. I know right. 6? I voted for 4, but I'd be happy with one of the yavin stream shots.
  18. Hmmm. Its okay . You could probably do a little bit more work on the textures though, its a bit boring as it is right now. Do something with the hem of his robe, more grit or something.
  19. Seems difficult to enforce, especially since the uploading party may have done it anonymously (registered account, but fake email and proxy ip) and then JKHUB could get into hairy legal situations... Although I agree that this is a nice idea, I don't know that it is realistic. If JKHub hosts illegal content it would still be liable, in my opinion, if it doesn't respond to requests to remove the illegal content within a reasonable amount of time. Courts don't always care that it isn't the hosting site's fault it was hosted - even if the user agreed to be responsible for uploaded content, as far as I understand it. I'm okay as long as the original source is cited so others know where the content came from.
  20. Can you restate your argument, I could go put all your posts together, but it would probably benefit more people then just me if you had it all in one place.
  21. Although your point is entirely valid, it doesn't really bother me (most of the time) since it tends to stay in the nonsense thread and only occasionally leaks out in breaks that last for like 1 or 2 posts, most of which are usually just in good fun. However, if you want the forums to be more serious, yeah the moderators are going to have to be a lot more harsh. If someone even goes off topic posting a image macro, for example, in a thread where someone is asking help with programming at least a warn is necessary. The only real way to control this sort of thing is to be very harsh, which is something I don't really like all that much. You guys are too fun.
  22. That'd be even better then a fat rodian. I think I'm going to need to request a heavy chick.
  23. Heavy? As in fat?
  24. You're welcome. It is unfortunate that I have seen this issue before and fixed it a few times. I'd rather be programming. IT Support is so...not that awesome.
