  11. Why would you want spell checking anyway? Most of C/C++ is very grammatically horrible/shortened abrv spellings of things, eg: int, char, etc...

  13. Me. It is a bit derpy sometimes though, sometimes takes it a few seconds to catch up to me when I'm typing. I don't use that machine much anymore though.
  14. Questions for those who answered Yes: How did you find out about OpenJK? No idea, I've forgotten, probably eezstreet sent me a link in #JKGalaxies irc. How difficult was it to get OpenJK working? 2/10 (Where 10 is really hard to get it to work). Do you know anybody who isn't on JKHub and uses OpenJK? Some people from JKGalaxies, since technically they're using it. But other then that, no. What would you change (if anything)? I believe a simple self-install package for major stable releases, would probably make it more popular and accessible to the public. Regular users like to be able to just click on something and have it work. More completion of rend2 would be great!

  17. I think that's part of his problem. He has no idea what he wants to do. He just wants to understand it all. @, Tip: Most of us don't understand it all. Just parts of it.

Have RNG 'unlock' abilities, but then make it only a weak basic 'level 0' form of the ability until the player puts xp into it/uses it/levels it up/becomes experienced with it to be able to use it effectively. eg: Ability = Speed Level 0 = 1.1x regular character speed - extremely pathetic Level 1 - 1.5x regular character speed - getting better Level 2 - 2x regular character speed - yay Level 3 - 4x regular character speed - wahoo Level 4 - 8x regular character speed - imma good At least if I understand your system right. Although if you are worried about player not having enough abilities/can't find ruins fast enough to keep up with difficulty that is a bit more problematic.

  20. Don't forget to update to OpenSSL 1.0.1g if you use it. Hats off to JKHub to having already fixed it/not been vulnerable in the first place.

I was just thinking that a map with like the same gray old texture everywhere could actually be kind of fun to play on if it was treated like a maze...it'd be interesting to create a map based off of what you have so far, trying to do that. Just a thought for after you finish what you're actually trying to do.

  25. Please say you'll include those evil shark things in the water. Fighting those things was pretty freaky - crazy insane Selkath would be way cool too. (Would be easy to add those too, just make a custom npc, and see if you can borrow one of those Selkath models someone has made, and then add some nice scary sounds for the npc). By the way, just noticed this map, looks great so far. As far as suggestions: -I don't like the default water shader being used, the blue is ugly, make your own and it'll look way more awesome. -More lights sources, lightbulbs/lamps/florsscent glowing tubes, etc... some of the light is just mysteriously there. Also broken/shut off bulbs would be cool too. -Feel free to make the map your own, you've got the feel down, but its okay to change it up a bit add new things KOTOR's map wasn't perfect, so yours can be even better -Don't forget the "human" elements of the map, things like broken sparking wires in the walls from where Selkath's went crazy, destroyed equipment, plumming tubes, etc... Make it look like there really was a crazy incident with mad selkath ripping everything apart.
