Author Patrick Haslow Brush Count : 4375 Entity Count : 519 Base info : original map Software used : Radiant 1.4, Adobe Photoshop, Bryce 4, Goldwave Known Bugs : none A Free-for-All in a backwater garrison on Tatooine, just before sunset. This map is best played with 6-10 players. There are many booby traps placed around the map, they are useful for surprising your opponents- some if you have chosen to use force push. Also, many useful power-ups are initially located in hidden locations. Find them all! -

Author Patrick Haslow Brush Count : 2754 Entity Count : 589 Base info : original map Software used : Radiant 1.4, Adobe Photoshop, Goldwave Known Bugs : none Perilous Free-for-All battles or duels in the cavernous power core of the Merr Sonn Corporation's space station. This map is unusually small for FFA matches, and is best played with 2-4 players. Bot support is provided, but they would do well to develop a fear of heights. For dueling purposes, those wanting a larger dueling area should activate the force field to create a larger arena. For quick escapes or rapid transit, explore the boost pads and airjet tubes. Also, beware the energy beam projector and power conduits! -

Author Patrick Haslow Close quarters lightsaber combat between a secret lab in the past and the present. I intended this map to have a narrative sense to it, as if it were a location where a gripping story was taking place. Hopefully players will see it the same way and enjoy being being immersed in the awful events at the laboratory. This map is a a polygon complicated work that was really meant as a showcase for the 2005 Map-Review JA Geometry Challenge. If you are dissatisfied with the texture choices, pleae remember I did my best to pretty up this map within the 10 texture limit of the challenge. Be warned, slower machines will have a hard time running this map at a decent framerate! The map is a tight space in which to duel- good luck! For a quick escape, explore the ominous glowing portal contraption. Bot support is provided. -

Author CommanderKEEN Republic Cruiser prefab from Episode I, that I made for my Trade Federation Droid Control Ship map. You are free to do whatever you want with this file - use it for your map, make it more detailed, make enterior (yeah, i would much apreciate for someone to make interior, so I can use it for the next version of the map). I would just apreciate some credit. Thanks! -

Author CommanderKEEN This is Trade Federation Droid Control Ship from Episode I. From the things that are seen in the movie, there are Conference Room, Bridge and Docking Bay, including Republic Cruiser docked (unfortunatly, still with no interior, but i hope to make it for the next version), all conected with corridors, and something of my own imagination - a dock control station. Due to the winkness of my PC, i was unable to make this map larger and more complex. My PC was having troubles to handle even this sized map. I was forced to make the map in several different parts, that are later merged in the final map (and that is so boring). And, what is more important, I was unable to do the full Light process, and because of that, the map does't look like as it should and some lights and shadows looks pretty ugly. So, don't expect next versions of the map, untill I upgrade my PC (do not expect it for a long time lol) -

Author Gaara of the Sand The most Kickbutt saber hilt, ever. its a clear hilt with three prongs around the emitter, and (the best parts) a crystal inside it with the emitters and lenses actually modeled in the hilt, along with the beam visible inside the crystal. this saber also uses the desann and fast stances. This hilt i made was sooo kickbutt, i almost named it "the Chuck Norris". -

Author Gaara of the Sand This Saber is a Kunai, or throwing knife, used by ninja. its design was modeled after those in the series: Naruto. This saber can be kinda hard to use at first, but once u practice with it it becomes easier to weild. i find it best to dual weild these, and try to land power moves like uppercuts and backslash, and when combined with saberthrow, makes a great long range weapon. -

Author Gaara of the Sand Nothing special needed for these to work in Jedi Academy... Just put the JKDF2_Sabers_v1-01.pk3 (or JKDF2_Sabers_v1-00.pk3 if you are running JKA version 1.00) in your JA base folder, along with the JKDF2_Blades.pk3 for the JKDF2 saber blades, and it's all set... As a bonus, I have included some of the sabers from the concept artwork shown in the install of JKDF2. Have fun with them! ALSO, I have heard of people posing as me on JKA 1.01. Note: I DO NOT play jka version 1.01, i play version 1.00. Remove any older versions from your base folder, to avoid conflicts. -

Author Desostros ¡§Eternal lair of Ragnos¡¦ deciples¡¨ is a large scale FFA map for JKA.The concept consists of a place where the spirits of Ragnos¡¦ deciples roam, fight and train eternally, awaiting the resurrection of their master and his army, hoping one day they will rule all again. This map has a mystical touch to it,and is quiete challenging.I¡¦ve made this map for all the clans for JKA who do not have a clanmap, for this map is IDEAL for clanmap. With 3 training rooms(Balance, fire and ice duel.),a meeting hall,a council which can give up to 10 people a place to sit,a large scale FFA room and 1 secret area(which will satisfy all guys who see it,the deciples get lonely too after some millennia¡K). -

JAFont is a tool that converts .ttf fonts to a usable font format in JA. It was created by JAfont by Wudan, OJP et al, built with help from Bejitt and Fracman. usage: JAfont <command> <fontfile> <size> <JAfontname> example: jafont -create verdana.ttf 16 anewhope Resulting .fontdat and .png images will be placed in the executeable's directory. In the example above, anewhope.fontdat and anewhope.png would be created. When packaging the fonts it is important that you do NOT alter the original PK3 files, and place your new fonts in a new PK3 file, this is pretty much standard procedure for "replacing" game assets. -

Author Grampa Horton Same old hoth map we all know and love, only much, much more challenging for imps. Added extra turrets, emplaced weapons, increased health on just about everything and decreased length on hack times. Perfect for when the teams are stacked. Have fun. This game should not have any bugs whatsoever since the modifications I performed are quite trivial. -

Author Wik This is an old JO map that has been updated and modified for JA {so I can infect more people with my madness } This is one of them magical floating in space buildings (How come we dont suffercate :-? (coz I aint told it to|) until you fall enough )) There is a landing pad (that you can't fall off (unless you jump:D)) with Hoth Guns each of the Hoth Guns have a team 1 Red 1 Blue but in ffa they go for anyone) The main room has a liberal sprinkling of health n sheilds and an area where you can show off your sabering skills (Also the Star Wars Barny Posters) and lifts to the roof {yes i know the cealing is boring but there is a reason } Through the octagonal corridor and 3 way door the second room {this room has been tarted up so it looks as if its sorta there for a reason} I am pretending that them models n pipes are for power (them guns outside will need it) at the bottom of the lift there is a little room for the masters and trainees to have a practice in peace there are also 2 utility rooms at the sides (spawn points and weapons) 1 red 1 blue {just lights tho} Me having fun with coloured lights, I am of the school of white is borring I-) also there is an observation room / control room {so you can sit n watch a barny} and a lift up to the second roof with a pit (which is gonna bingy boingy you about (for those moments that you want to play silly buggers )) (this has been deleted coz of gybs see below) and the Turbo Laser Cannons and Ion Cannons A reet big roof to swing your choppin sticks on and have a reet good barny ) Between the to main roof tops the are some ledges so you can work your way down to the ledge leading to the Barny Refference Room ) with Force Boons n Kill all Rodians And finaly the Secret Room {big brother is watching )} to get to it is a walk of faith in to a Flare (may the Barny be with you) There are some bang bang sticks (if you like that kind of thing;)) trip mines, grenades, Det Packs and more (in procariouse places )) but I like swooshing sticks myself. -

With EasyGen you build up terrains and export them as Radiant source map (including alphamap and metahsaders). Bitmap import/export is also supported. Supported games Quake3 Return To Castle Wolfenstein Generally all games based on Quake3 engine (Including Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy), who need a source map(.map), an alphamap(.pcx) and a metashader script(.shader) to compile a terrain entity. (if you want to to learn more about this process read the Official Terrain Manual written by Paul Jaquays contained in the latest GTK installations) Installation Make sure to extract all files contained in the zip in the same folder. After you've extracted the zip, EasyGen folder should looks something like this: EasyGen\modifiers\*.* - modifiers EasyGen\templates\*.* - various files (*.shader, *.cfg) EasyGen\save\ - saved terrains (*.egn) EasyGen\tutorial\*.* - tutorial stuff (old but sufficient) EasyGen\EasyGen.exe - executable EasyGen\btnexgenipl32.dll - a dll EasyGen\readme.txt - this readme.txt EasyGen will not run if 'btnexgenipl32.dll' is not in the same folder. Also EasyGen needs to know your work mod folder under <your_game> root folder (ie baseq3\, missionpack\, main\ etc etc), you will be prompted to browse for that asa you start EasyGen. I repeat for the last time, you need to browse for a MOD folder, not for the <your_game> root folder. Features Terrain shape manipulation through several modifiers (Hill,Cone etc etc). Program your own modifiers with an easy asm like language. Read 'custom_modifier.txt' to learn more. Direct export source map plus alphamap and metashader script. Alphamap import/export. Bitmap import/export. Models (md3) are loaded automatically from <your_game>/<your_mod>/models/ directory. Import brushes from a map file. Brushes are only used as space references to aid positiong the terrain entity. Bruhses manipulation is not supported by EasyGen and BRUSHES are NOT exported toghether with the terrain. Only the TERRAIN ENTITY itself is exported and the models you have inserted. Terrain import from a map file (and related alphamap and metashader). This should work in the most of the cases. To exclude triangles from export: - select MODIFIER TAB. - click the pink triangle button on the toolbar (the one with the red cross) - SHIFT+LEFTCLK on a triangle Upgrading shader templates (templates/*.*) is useful if the author of the compiler (ydnar) makes come modifications to the compiler itself (q3map2.exe). Replacing old templates with the new ones will ensure that EasyGen will export shaders hat will work with the new version of the compiler. -

Looking for the .map file? See the bottom of this description. As a special thanks to everyone in the community for making Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy such a success, the Jedi Academy team is happy to release a new Siege Vehicle Combat map and tutorials to show mod makers how to create their own Siege Maps and Vehicles. Please note, this map and the accompanying tools are released "as is" and are unsupported by Raven Software, Activision or LucasArts. Install Troubleshooting Run the JASiegeDestroyer.exe and follow the on-screen instructions to install. If you do not see the new map listed in-game, ensure that the file "siege_destroyer.pk3" is located in your installation's "GameData\base" folder. The default path is "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base". You will see other .pk3 files in the correct "base" folder.Simply drag and drop the "siege_destroyer.pk3" file into the correct "base" folder if it has been installed to the wrong location.
