There's some really good N64 emulators out there, some of them oddly are found on Android devices (of all places)

Of course I've tried project64 xD. I've been using N64 emulators since 2007.

If you're willing to spend, laptops can be good for gaming. They just don't have as good air flow/cooling, and less space to fit components.

Also your fps gets drastically worse the longer you play as the laptop gets hotter.

Nah, stick with MP4. It's one of the main standards in video formats now, and is the primary format for web content now, with HTML5 and such.

As far as I know, MKV and MP4 are basically the same.

That's still odd that you have to replace opengl32.dll in system32 with *anything* It should be your graphics drivers that keeps that file up to date.

Onysfx, kotor is the bestest of games, so make sure to invest great efforts into getting it to run. You will not be disappointed!

I've tried 3 times. I mean, I tried over 50 times, but I reinstalled the game 3 times over the past 2 years attempting to get it to run. When I have a computer that can run it (my computer does not support opengl at all), I shall run it.

I agree, I also am a fan of the EU, at first I thought they were just getting rid of post episode 6 EU, which kinda sucks, but I only have read pre episode 6 EU, so I didn't feel the connection as much as other people. But when lucas said all the EU was non canon...well...that just saddens me .

Hmm. Do you have another hard drive? You could do a basic windows install on it, install anti-virus/malware/spyware and scan you main hard drive

The program is gone now. It was a simple program which I was using to attempt in install a darker windows theme (concave 7). However, somehow it ended up deleting explorer.exe, as well as some other files, without even doing anything to help me. And thanks eezstreet for offering just what I needed. I can't reinstall windows, I bought a computer with windows already on it.

oh crap this is not good. Even system restore didn't fix it...now when I start up my computer, the entire desktop is black. I had to run chrome.exe from task manager just to get here .

i tried playing KOTOR on a windows 7 is launches, but then crashes.

Works perfectly on 7, 8 and 8.1. With fixes an in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode (as far as I remebmer).

Sure it's the best way for some, but not for most people. You can't assume everyone knows how to assemble a computer.

Meh, it's a little more than that. And you have to know where everything goes. AND you have to be interested enough to do it. Most people wouldn't even want to bother with such things. I'm one of them.
