And the boots too.. There's actually also the arms/sleeves to consider, aswell. But this is good! Now the movie is out and we have more confirmed sources to go on and work with, people can create better versions. @@RevanKnight I don't know if you'll be looking to add voice work to your model, too.. Or if this is something you'd want to even consider, but if it is.. This may be something you might wanna take a look at. http://jkhub.org/topic/6809-kylo-ren-soundpack-voice-work-confirmed/

This is just for anyone out there, who's interested and looking at making a Kylo Ren model or is already in the process of making one.. That Adam Driver/Kylo Ren's voice work is OFFICIALLY in Disney Infinity 3.0. I have the game on PC and 'The Force Awakens' Starter Pack & Play Set and I can confirm it, so if anyone is looking for voice work to essentially give life for a Kylo Ren model, then Disney Infinity 3.0 is a strong and reliable source to choose. Whether converting or taking sound files from the game and putting them into Jedi Academy is possible, is of course, another matter entirely. But again, this is just to confirm that Disney Infinity DOES include Adam Driver's sounds and voice work for the character.

I'm sure @@Xeby would be able to help out with this.. But I don't think he's been online for quite some time, so I don't know whether it'd be worth asking him or not. I asked him about animations for a specific character, before and he just said "maybe I'll release it in the future", which didn't really instill a lot of confidence .

The font for "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...." needs to be increased in size and split further apart from each other. This is taken from pretty much, the full-screen view of 'Return of the Jedi'..

No, it's not the fact that I'm bashing the mod itself for it's content. It's just the fact that there's no Single Player aspect to it. I don't play the Multiplayer part of Jedi Academy, I never have. I've tried it out a coupla' times, briefly.. A few years back. But I'm more primarily a "Single Player" player. If it had both Single Player and Multiplayer to it.. Then yeah, I'd have stuck with it.
-
And it's a pretty poor mod aswell, to be honest. Due pretty much for the fact that it's all Multiplayer and has no Single Player aspect to it, at all. I wanted to upgrade from "Movie Duels II" and tried it out, but when I found out it was Multiplayer ONLY, I reverted straight back to "Movie Duels II".

Holy crap! That looks incredible!! .. Where'd you find that? I can't mod, though, unfortunately. It's not that I "won't" mod, it's just that I can't. I don't know the first thing or where to start. And even if I tried, I'd probably end up nausing it up. I mean, if anyone else is interested in turning that into a JKA mod. Hell! I'd even make a small donation and pay for it, considering how good the overall base model is..

@Omicron I can confirm this download WORKS!! I've just downloaded it again, about 5 minutes ago and I didn't have any problems whatsoever with retrieving the file. So if there is a problem, it's definitely something your end. You may want to check your connection, do a Spyware/Malware/Virus scan and/or delete your Internet browsing data and try again. But I can confirm, it definitely works.

Well, if you want me to be specific about it, I could give you the information you need to improve your Kylo Ren model. Overall, it's very good! I'm not knocking the model, at all, don't get me wrong.. But there's just a couple of things that could do with looking at, to get it more accurate or as accurate as can be, to what you see in the movie. The 2 main things I noticed were the boots and the sleeves/arms.. And I don't think it'd hurt, to enlarge the belt a little.. Judging by your current version and the images posted above.

Well, I'm not a modder. I wouldn't even know where to start, if I did wanna be a modder. Neither do I have any of the required software or take credit for anybody else's work. It's just not my area. Most of the models released though, are essentially v1.0's of its creator's work. So I'm just offering advice to the creator to help them improve on their work and I guess if it helps them get more rep and more noticed for it, then why not..

Well, looks pretty good for a first attempt, RevanKnight. Some tweaking maybe, at a later date and this will be a work of art. I do think her body proportions need looking at, though. Certainly giving her upper body a bit more "mass". But yeah, a very good attempt. Please you've actually got her robes/attire correct, as opposed to dark_apprentice's version of Rey. But that's not discouraging towards his model in any shape or form.
-
That's because the Kylo Ren model shown in the video is @dark_apprentice's maskless version and has SP support, meaning it's selectable as a character model in the Character Creation screen. This version, however doesn't have that support. Hopefully, Kualan will get around to updating this model and also add SP support, in the next version.

The Force Awakens Conversion Mod for SP
Darth Sion replied to GPChannel's topic in WIPs, Teasers & Releases
@@GPChannel Has there been any updates for the mod? I'm following this topic/thread and it's been relatively quiet, so just wondering there's been any new developments, lately.. -
Ok guys, So it's been a while since we've had a NEW model of Kylo Ren.. And personally, although we do have 2 or 3 very good versions out there already, with Kualan's and Kylo Ren's respective models, from a few months back and also dark_apprentice's maskless/helmetless version (which does have a couple of in-accuracies). I think we certainly, could do with a NEW, *more updated* version, now the movie's out in theaters. So I figured now we have more sources to go on and what not, it'd be a great chance for someone to release a NEW, updated version of him, if they're interested.. I also thought I'd throw in these sources (below), for anyone wanting to create him and get him as accurate as possible.. Very best of luck to you!
-
And also.. I, personally, wouldn't have used "Duel of the Fates" as background music.
-
Yeah, that's fair enough.. Well, you do what you think best. I'm sure it should come out well, either way. At least then though, I'll be able to get rid of AshuraDX's and Xeby's two versions, from my downloads. You need both of their files to make it work properly. So it'll be nice and refreshing, to only have to use 2 files from within one mod (if that's the way it's gonna go). This was their attempts: http://jkhub.org/files/file/2214-kylo-rens-lightaber-adx/ and the 2nd file you needed to make it work (properly) http://jkhub.org/files/file/2218-kylo-ren-sith-unstable-saber-sw-episode-7/
-
Ahh.. I see. That part about; "The only problem is because I changed the blade effect for red, it will change it globally. So everyone with a red blade will have that effect.". I see where you're coming from now. Unless, there's some way you can make it so that only Kylo's saber has that "unstable" saber effect? If not, then I'll leave you to decide which is best. I'd agree that it'd be a little weird, with other enemies in the game (Reborn's, for example) having the same saber effect as Kylo's hilt.
-
Yeah, I think it would probably work out a bit better actually. I just thought that, if you can have one .pk3 file with everything included (blade effect, sounds.. the works. etc.) and one .pk3 file without. It would be easier to differentiate between the two and it'd also be a little less confusing and you're not moving multiple files between your downloaded folder and your base folder. Me, personally.. I'd just go for the complete mod itself, especially when using it with the Kylo Ren model. 'Cos I mean, if you're gonna use Kylo's hilt, you might aswell just use his "unstable" blade effect and sounds, too. It just wouldn't seem right, otherwise. That's my thoughts on it, anyway.
-
Awesome! So will the first one .pk3 file: "1. This one will include the saber as well as the sounds." Include, both the new blade effect as well as the sounds and hilt? That's essentially what I'd be looking for.. To recreate the exact saber likeness from the movie, with just one file (if possible).
