  1. I'm actually still working on this... from time to time. Atm I'm on stuff like hud and a way to end a level in multiplayer (aka opening a menu via trigger). So far I've got a timer that ends the level when you're too slow. What I can't do yet is ending the level with a trigger cause triggers in multiplayer are bad (mkay). Already thought about switchting to the singleplayer code but maybe I'll be able to make it work in mp. Some WIP:
  2. Some good frags judging from my very poor understanding of the jk2 gameplay

Fragmovies were never about "lucky hits". This is kinda insulting considering the fact that these were some of the best players at the time when this movie came out. It's completely okay that you don't like this movie but please don't come up with these weird arguments. I'm not going to start a fight on a 4 year old video that I didn't even create completely on my own, so this is the last thing I'm gonna post here. When it came out most people loved it and that's all what I care for. Peace.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I can understand when you say that some kills are mediocre, because some are compared to the best frags of this movie. But "not that clear to me" or "childish"? How can a kill be childish? I'm not mad or anything, just curious.
  9. bloody 4:3 resolution. But yea, Pings movie is probably the best edited and most influential duel/tdm fragmovie in Jedi Academy so you better add that. And this is one of the best MBII-movies:
  10. Well they are already on youtube so it would be enough to just embed them I guess. Even better would be a short preview, but that would be quite complex
  11. I'm quite active on the steam forums atm
  12. You're probably right... I can't really imagine a Jedi Knight without the quake-engine and strafe jumping and all that... A new JK would probably be more like TFU or Battlefront than the old Jedi Knights. I'm 100% sure the saber combat would be horrible. And I'm not even sure if it's still possible to create SW-games that are non-canon (and only the movies are canon now).
  13. This would only make sense if they actually worked on a new JK
  14. People still buy this after 11 years, but LucasArts (Disney) refuses to make a new JK. WHY

What about moving the tutorials to the wiki?
  16. It's pretty sick how many new people own JKA now Btw, the steam forums could be a chance now to bring some new people to the hub
  17. Yea you're right, stupid idea.
  18. What's about running the demo with timescale 4, rendering it with 120 fps and then playing the video back with 25% speed.
  19. I know there is off-screen capturing but is it possible with jaMME to capture a video without having to play the demo in it's entire length? Like rendering a demo to a video right away. Is that even technical possible?
  20. Did anyone here try the c4 engine?

I've tried it out a little bit. Not really a huge fan of the built-in editor. Everything that I've seen built using it seems to look outdated compared to other engines.

I tried cryengine 3, but didn't really like all the crap you had to do. Just felt inferior to the likes of UDK. UE4 though is very tricky for me, and thus I haven't really spent much time with it.

  21. I think it would be great if this would happen and you will get surely all the help you need for that (if it's not already too late for this community, I know I'm a pessimist).
  22. 32 downloads

This fragmovie was made by cmdkeen and afiNity in 2011 featuring many players of team Vintage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1MsDj3Mogk

    The wiki

I actually think the wiki itself is quite usable. I mean, the actual functionality is working. You can create content, watch it, edit it etc. I think the problem is a lack of interest of people to contribute to the wiki. I'm currently trying to clean up the categories and stuff like that but in the end what is really missing is content.
  24. Sorry Ping but I'm gonna add one last thing and then I'm out. And I know that we had the same conversation like 10 times before. The point is that there needs to be a base for all this. People won't join if there is no kind of content that is relevant for them. That's cause and effect. One problem is that uploading a lot of files is not really easy on JKHub, the way the file/upload system is built and it's not really possible to upload demos/cfgs that you didn't create on your own as long as you can't contact the original creator. Demos and configs are often considered as public domain, so there were huge databases with thousands of demos (or configs). You can't really expect that players who quit the game 10 years ago to load up their own demos. Uploading 100 demos would take weeks with the upload system we got on JKHub. About the moderator thing... I know that Ping and I applied to become a mod and I'm not really sure what kind of moderators you're searching for as Ping was Editor (or admin?) in the ESL and I master-admin for over 3 years. There are no hard feelings or anything but it felt like that the interest in this whole subject wasn't really high. I actually talked a lot with different admins/mods on this page over the years (especially in the beginning) but in the end nobody really cared and now it's kinda too late. And that's the last thing that I'm writing about this subject as I don't think that anything will change in the future. And yep, in the end this was just another frustrated, senseless topic.
