I like what you did here! Especially with the lighting.

State of the Community?
eezstreet replied to Jedi_Mediator's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
Most people don't map with the intention of their maps being on mainstream servers, they map for a mod. The Dark Forces 2 mod would be a great place to start since most of that architecture is very blocky. -
Oddly enough you can't even type "GNU GPL" and search for files by it. It's something we will look into.

Single Player with Mulitplayer combat and movement
eezstreet replied to Waco's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
MP movement feels significantly more responsive thanks to SP having barely any friction, among other things. Also there are some tricks in multiplayer movement (bunnyhopping) which are impossible in Singleplayer. -
Go for it, but be sure to follow our file uploading policies.

OpenJK (which this mod is based on) does not support Android.

Do you need live coding help? Do you want to find a place of like-minded people to converse with? Look no further: the #JACoders IRC channel has many people to talk about coding and other related subjects. It's also the official IRC channel of OpenJK. server: irc.arloria.net channel: #jacoders port: 6667 You can find a list of popular IRC clients here. I can recommend HexChat (free), mIRC (paid) and Chatzilla (Firefox Plug-In) While you're on ArloriaNET, why not stop by several mod-specific channels like #warzone and #jkgalaxies, or the global #welcome channel?

Yeah. I was thinking at first that maybe they intended for that ramp to be a thing you use Force Pull on, but it seemed like it would blend too much into the ceiling.

I'm a little bit disappointed that EA didn't actually talk about these games or show off much of them. They have many more studios under their belt than Bethesda and still got crushed by them.

Something has happened to my JKA game....
eezstreet replied to TheWhitePhoenix's topic in Jedi Knight Tech Support
Ok. Is it on a vanilla copy of jasp.exe? -
Something has happened to my JKA game....
eezstreet replied to TheWhitePhoenix's topic in Jedi Knight Tech Support
It means your video card is failing, or your drivers are broken, or both. Is this on a vanilla copy of jamp.exe? It could also be that. -
I think it'd be better to change both the staircase and the grate textures. The staircase seems really odd and out of place, if you ask me.

Keep the m. Change hs_kenobi_rots to benkenobi

ERROR: Couldn't spawn NPC stormtrooper
eezstreet replied to Storyteller323's topic in Jedi Knight Tech Support
...why would you use the Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy merger when there's a version of the JA Enhanced mod for Outcast? That's probably where the majority of problems are coming from. -
Single Player with Mulitplayer combat and movement
eezstreet replied to Waco's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
If you aren't content with the idea of playing with a mod, you could always just run with OpenJK, which has the feature enabled with a cvar. I think it's g_mpmovement or something similar. -
black ops 1 vehicles (Map objects), offal and news
eezstreet replied to scp_chaos1's topic in WIPs, Teasers & Releases
@@scp_chaos1 I actually think it's a good idea to have a centralized resource for ported map objects for use in mods. But what does your "grandfathers gifts" file contain? I see you have credited Valve (CS:GO?), Overkill Software (Payday: the Heist and PAYDAY 2), etc. Do you have some proper list of files? -
Try looking for the skin on the JK2Files mirror:http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/

All of the ones except`bundled_*` are not necessary to compile the game. The last two I have explicitly requested removed from the project, it's odd that they aren't.
-
Sounds like you're playing the game wrong. The most viable strategy is to strafe and dodge bullets.
-
I think it's doubtful that someone would get Sith J Cull's map decompiled and fixed. Even if you did, you still need permission from him to use the map in that fashion. But you need his permission to ent-mod his map too. It might just be easier to wait for source. I don't understand what's so urgent about this project?

Updated EULA Regarding Porting Content
eezstreet replied to eezstreet's topic in JKHub Feedback & Help
The answer is (and has been for quite some time): If you can't call it your own work, it doesn't belong here. In your case I'd think that's a No. Feel free to provide public links, but it won't be hosted here unless you do something to make it your own (such as making textures, etc)
