Guest Lordniti2 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I have always wondered why no one ever made a hk model for jedi academy, i know kotor model got ported over but why is it no one ever made their own model? Main reason I am asking this because it would be pretty neat for hk-47 or any hk to be officially put into mb2 (yes I am well aware of the peneke pack)
DTIII Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 @@Jeff has an HK-55 in one of his packs, but I also haven't seen a HK-47.
minilogoguy18 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 It's hard sometimes to find the will to want to make a model of something that has already been ported. You have to 1 up the original which can be tough since it has to be more than just accurate but more detailed. You may spend all that time making it for no one to even want to download it. Jeff Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 or we could just retexture Jeff's Hk-55... I have the textures for HK-47 and HK-51, if anyone wants em. the_raven likes this
minilogoguy18 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 If someone here has KotOR 1 and 2 I'd consider porting things over since Disney says it's pretty much OK.
Circa Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Relevant: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/889-kotorblender/ Have fun. If someone here has KotOR 1 and 2 I'd consider porting things over since Disney says it's pretty much OK.I'm sure 90% of people here have the KOTOR games at least in their Steam library. They've been on sale for like $3 multiple times in recent years.
minilogoguy18 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I don't have Blender anymore and I refuse to reinstall it, the software's UI is the worst I've ever seen.

Xioth Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I have an HK-47 model, as well as a collection of TONS of KOTOR Models.
Circa Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I don't have Blender anymore and I refuse to reinstall it, the software's UI is the worst I've ever seen.I figured, but was posting for others to take a look at. I know that you already know what you're doing. didn't someone already port HK-47 from Kotor? Yes, multiple times. But they're rigged really badly. The hands don't move, the hips are rigged too low somehow and some of the models' faces aren't rigged at all. If you want the ported models badly enough, you can easily find them. Hint: ModDB. the_raven likes this

Kualan Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Got hold of an extracted HK-47 from KOTOR, but the model seems messed up - parts missing, etc. I did, however, find what might be a better alternative. A guy called 'cirre992' made HD remakes of several KOTOR characters and offered them for free distribution with the original intention of someone porting them to the source engine for Garry's Mod: The HK model in particular looks pretty good - to the point that I wasn't going to share it here as I thought it was just a port of the SWTOR model. However I've extracted the TOR model and compared the two and it does indeed appear to be an original, free-to-use creation by the above user. It's also well within normal JKA model limits at ~2615 vertices across the whole model. If it's of any use to anyone for getting into JKA, the pack can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ks6nwgc3s1bb4cr/kotor+source+files.rar TheWhitePhoenix, swegmaster and Penekowski like this
Penekowski Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 That's prety cool, i'd love if someoone could port Mission Vao from that pack as well. The actual functional jka port is pretty bad
minilogoguy18 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I have the games but I can't for the life of me figure out what files I need nor does Softimage import MDL files. I think there is a 3DS Max importer for KotOR models. I downloaded that pack.
