ensiform Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 it fixes only the model issues that were also in ioq3 version. I don't honestly know whats going on with rend2 rendering right now... (There is a fix for not requiring r_floatLightmap in ioq3 tree now too, but I'm not too concerned about that yet)
Tempust85 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Never did for me. Always ended up with some blurry mess as if I was on a map made of pure caulk...
eezstreet Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 There's a cvar that you need to turn off. I forget what it is.

Szico VII Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Almost fixed the problem. Just a last few things to sort out: Excellent!
eezstreet Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 but mp/ffa3 broke so hardcore now (ignore trippy blue/green/red/yellow colors, working on motion blur)
Omicron Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 but mp/ffa3 broke so hardcore now (ignore trippy blue/green/red/yellow colors, working on motion blur)Are you doing motionblur in the same way ent did it in jamme?
eezstreet Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Are you doing motionblur in the same way ent did it in jamme?no. I'm doing it via GLSL whereas MME does it on the CPU which is slower. I can't say if the methods are the same or not as I'm not really familiar with all the different motion blur techniques. (Also, @@Xycaleth or @@Scooper or someone should poke it and tell me why it is buggy, I've got it like 80% working now, just has some bug with the color or something)

Sovietskiy Partizan Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 First thing I do in new games is turning shadows off and motion(and any other kind of crappy) blur off, because its run smoother.
Omicron Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Y'all stupid, motion blur is shit.I beg to differ. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF9aqZuidhIMotion blur is amazing :L therfiles and z3filus like this
Szico VII Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Only if its just a slight hint. Otherwise no, its fucking awful.
Xycaleth Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 One more problem down! Before: After: All that's left to tackle now (regarding lightmaps), is this weird stuff: Tempust85 and minilogoguy18 like this
eezstreet Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 update on that motion blur: it's not per-object yet and there's obviously some artifact-y ness that I need to resolve Omicron, therfiles, Tempust85 and 1 other like this
Tempust85 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 So after the lightmaps, what else is left to fix?
