About This File

Hey guys! My first from scratch modeling job, I'd say this didn't turn out too shabby! I will say in advance: THIS WEAPON DOES NOT HAVE A 1ST PERSON PERSPECTIVE. This weapon also will replace this Imperial Heavy Repeater.
Anyway, this is the A280 blaster rifle. Some specs:

"During the Galactic Republic's final years, the A280 blaster rifles were commonly used by local planetary forces which made them readily available on the black market, thus the Rebel Alliance acquired them with ease, and began to utilize it throughout their fight against the Galactic Empire.

During the Battle of Hoth, some of the rebel troopers were armed with A280 blaster rifles to hold off the incoming Imperial attackers until the evacuation transports flee away.
Major Lokmarcha used an A280 during Operation Yellow Moon.
The rifles were also used when the Rebel Alliance planned to assault the newly constructed Death Star II by infiltrating the surface of Endor and destroying the Death Star's shield generator."

I hope we see more models done from scratch by you. I think this weapon look really good, but it's a pity it doesn't have 1st person perspective.

I will update this at some point once I learn to do such things. I just couldn't figure it out for this one.

Might get it with the Relby, however.

I believe in order to have a proper first person perspective you need to export the model as md3 then make sure you have a corresponding _hand.md3, that determines the proper rotation of the model, if you open certain md3 models/weapon2 models you will see they are tilted in all sorts of directions which the hand.md3 rotates to its proper position. Sense its a repeater model you may have to make sure that the repeater.md3 matches the same pitch/rotation/coordinates as your model. Hope this helps, and GL on v2, and very nice model.
