  1. Update (WIP #38): The neck is pretty much done... working on the finishing the skull now.
  2. Update (Work-In-Progress #31): The face is really close to being finished... just need to smooth out a couple of areas and also spread out the vertices along the forehead centerline. Here are some wireframes... Now I need to start gathering reference for female teeth and start modeling the inner mouth, teeth, and tongue-- as well as finish the back of the skull and neck. Hopefully things will begin to go more quickly.

  4. I'm "eye-balling" it and using various camera angles and the ISO ref image above. It's working out pretty well-- already significantly better!
  5. Here is the state of the mesh from working with only a front and side reference photo... I've placed this ISO reference photo best I can to the current mesh... and I'll use it to flush out the ISO details (chin area, cheek area, etc.):
  6. The ref photos were scaled so that the eyes match the eye locations of the skeleton. So the ref pics should match the skeleton. Yes... now I have to move verts around so that the ISO view looks correct to other reference photos
  7. I've widened the bridge of the nose, and did some general tweaking on the nose... I calling the nose finished. Moving on to the jaw area...
  8. Anything is possible now... I've gotten back to working on the Jan Ors head model and also laying out the concept for the Facial Animation/Lip-Sync GUI for 3ds Max. When @@Xycaleth returns to working on the rend2 renderer, I've asked him to support wrinkle maps (normal maps that accompany certain facial expressions and blend with the base mesh normal map ).   9. I figured the Inquisitor would die... had to make room for Vader... and if he hadn't committed suicide I imagine he knew Vader would kill him in a humiliating strangle for his failures. Glad to see Ashoka-- guess she'll impart Jedi training & wisdom to both Kanan and Ezra at the secret moon base-- where Padme gave birth to Luke and Leia... yeah?

  11. Leisure would be ~5 yrs younger than Ezra, no?
  12. Maybe Kanan Will find Anakin's dismembered arm/legs and use them to beat the Inquisitor.
  13. I believe the "Rebels" will attack and rescue Kanan... and they whisk away just before Vader gets to him... if Kanan doesn't kill the Inquisitor outright... perhaps Vader force-chokes him to death for his failures.
  14. Ok... now that I've released the dotXSI importer maxscript, I'm brushing the dust off of this project and placing it at the top of my list. ...so many neat 3ds Max projects-- so little time.
  15. In Dark Forces you forgot the characters: (1) Crix Madine... whom the player must rescue, (2) Moff Rebus- the Imperial weapons specialist whom you find/capture at the end of the sewers level. I also recall Jabba the Hutt making a cutscene appearance.
  16. I think you meant to say "hail" and not "hell" -- one is a greeting and the other invokes fire, brimstone and damnation Welcome to the hub!
  17. The default player & NPC is 64 units tall and 32 x 32 units wide and deep, yeah? Also you can turn on the ruler in ModView and see how tall the player is in the "crouch" (or any) animation... but it helps to have a full character as reference to get a better appreciation for correct map scaling.

  19. If you did not delete it then the file is still on your hard drive-- simply plug your old hard drive into your new computer and copy over whatever files you need.
  20. It would be good if you could provide a brief description of what each level map entails... I.e., indoors, outdoors, ship (ship type) interior, etc.
  21. Do you have a complete list of levels/maps that are needed for DF2? I couldn't find it...

  23. Update: Just submitted the first official release (v2.0 Beta R1) of the Maxscript dotXSI Importer that adds support for dotXSI 3.0 and 3.5 files... status is pending approval.

  25. I've gotten sidetracked updating the dotXSI import Maxscript to add dotXSI 3.0/3.5 import capability. The script is nearing completion and should be released today/tomorrow then I will be getting back to this head and facial rig project. Thanks for asking.
