  1. So Ahsoka knows Vader is Anakin and hid that from Kanan-- but how can Kanan, a padawan of the Clone Wars, not know of Anakin Skywalker??? He should know/be familiar with Anakin's "force signature", no??? For example the younglings knew "Master Skywalker" before he slaughtered them.
  2. It would be nice to add some variations to the Tusken character model. @@Langerd you should give him a go in your favorite 3D app (3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox, etc.)-- Just build/sculpt him in the root base pose and I'll help you convert the model to the Ghoul2 format and get it in-game.
  3. @@Xycaleth, @@DT85 -- what is meant by "it's original form" ??? This implies much customization is already taking place?
  4. Do you think JKE with Rend2 can achieve the same thing? Or would the EFX system need overhauling? Or could the current EFX system work if I created the EFX images with my 3ds max afterburner & fumeFX plugins?
  5. So do you have any issues list? (Ghoul2 issues, etc.) Perhaps some of the experienced coders could help you knock some of them out (@smiletheory, @@redsaurus, @@eezstreet, @@ensiform)?
  6. What are the current list of issues (Ghoul2, etc.)?
  7. @@Xycaleth - any chance we can start discussing wrinkle maps implementation in the rend2 Shader?
  8. So like I said... the inner mouth is completed but still needs a bit of tweaking-- I have some penetrations with the teeth. In fact I think the teeth and inner mouth (but not esophagus) should be moved rearward just a bit (i.e., the teeth are penetrating on the inside of lips): So I after I finish tweaking the inner mouth... I'll start on the hair.
  9. So I have the inner mouth cavity completed-- I'm in the process of attaching it to the lips... I also spent some time Googling & downloading Photoshop Hair Brush presets... will post an update pic soon.
  10. I must say... not very flattering.
  11. So I have the esophagus/uvula modeled now... I just need to model the inner cheeks to tie it to the lips and wrap the gums & teeth... This is a quick hack of weighting the lower teeth/gums/tongue to jaw bone to open the mouth and get this screenshot... the esophagus is not weighted yet: EDIT: I see I need to tweak the tonsils a bit behind the uvula. ...after that I'll start on the Asian up-do hairstyle with chopsticks.
  12. @@DT85 -- This developer is currently working on a multiple-Kinect setup for improved accuracy and it should permit turning about.
  13. In addition to the Noitom Perception Neuron motion capture system (neuronmocap.com)... I'm also seriously looking into the new Kinect V2 for full-body & facial motion capture-- the new sensor seems very promising-- and some savvy mocap programmers have created some powerful mocap tools that plugin to Motionbuilder & other major 3D Apps. Best thing is this is all available for under $500... so really affordable to most. Mocap software I'm looking at for the Kinect V2: http://brekel.com ~ $239 Kinect V2 = $149.99 Kinect Windows PC adapter = $49.99 Stay tuned...
  14. I cancelled the .us domain (that was free with my arvixe.com webhost account). Hopefully my personal info won't be snagged before it is wiped. I'll just wait to register the free domain with them later-- whenever the .LLC domain becomes available (because I don't care for the .biz domain) ...or I could transfer the .net to Arvixe next year. Then I'm only be paying for the .com domain with namesilo.
  15. @@DT85 -- thanks for your input; it takes a minimum of 3 bones to form a reflex curve... and the 4th bone at tip is because the tip can curl even more (e.g. lick your top/bottom lip) without extending the tongue very much. I'll post how it looks when I have something to show.
  16. for .us domain (and other country codes)-- regardless of registrar.
  17. I've never heard of a maximum bone count-- I thought it only depended on the total bone count in the root skeleton... ...cutting it down to 4 bones and will check that out.
  18. Two bones will not be sufficient to curl a tongue... I'm not sure what the minimum should be. This is what I had been playing around with: My approach so far has been to create a NURBS point curve and add the Spline IK Control Modifier on it. I used two Spline IK solvers (1st chain: bone_tongue_root to bone_tongue_02_eff; 2nd chain: bone_tongue_root thru bone_tongue_eff). Note that bone_tongue_root will not be used for skinning-- it's just there to help anchor the motion. I've played around with various linking of the IK Chains and point knots (IK_Chain01 is at the tip of the tongue and IK_Chain02 is at the rear of the tongue). Here is the schematic view showing the hierarchy: EDIT : The bone joint location between bone_tongue_01 and bone_tongue_02 could be a bit lower but I think it probably shouldn't matter... so there would only be 5 skin bones: bone_tongue_02 thru bone_tongue_06 (6 total counting the existing jaw bone).
  19. So I guess people don't register the .us domain then??? EDIT> Just did a google search... I found this: WHOIS Privacy for .US domains is prohibited by the US Department of Commerce -- what a bunch of FuckTards!!
  20. @@Raz0r, @@Didz and others... So I registered the .com and .net with namesilo and just registered the .us (free for as long as they host my website) with arvixe. But even though it let me check the registration as "private" -- I just found out that it does not register .us (or any country code) as private... WTF? That seems to defeat the privacy when you register the .com and .net, no? Their tech support said I can cancel the whole transaction and get a "do-over" and register another domain (like .biz)... What should I do? Is it that big of a problem getting my personal info spammed?
  21. So I registered my domains with namesilo... and I plan to go with arvixe for webhosting & email services (they also give you one free domain registration-- free for life on renewals as long as they continue to host your site)... so I will register the .us domain with arvixe (FREE-- yay!) and have it redirect to the .com they will host (I confirmed they will do this by live chat). Thanks everyone for your suggestions and discussions. ...Now, back to the Jan Ors project!!!
  22. Taking a look at Arvixe.com now for webhosting... they scored better than many in a review I found here: http://www.arvixe.com/toptenreviews-hosting
  23. leaning toward iPage (for building-block website hosting & email service: special deal of $1.99/month for up to 3 year term-- renews at about 8.99/mo to 10.99/mo depending on renewal term). If I register domain with namesilo and use iPage for email then I don't get the email forwarding, domain parking, or DNS services from namesilo-- but would get the rest of their services... Thoughts on namecheap (or other) versus namesilo?
  24. Gahhh... this makes my head hurt.
  25. I've compared namesilo, namecheap, and others... namesilo seems like they bundle all the services in their base price (whereas other registrars charge additional annual fees).
