In the old EU, Han's reference to 'hell' was construed as a cultural thing for Corellians - who apparently believed in nine (or maybe seven) layers of hell, IIRC. Don't know if that explanation has been re-canonised. What we do know about the 'afterlife' from canon is that when a living being dies, it is said by the Jedi at least to return as pure energy ("luminous beings are we...") to the 'cosmic Force', as opposed to the 'living Force' which is what folks experience when they are alive. Folks like Qui-Gon and Yoda were able to contact the physical realm after death by mastering the ability to connect these two realms.

Hm, I'm not sure. If not, I'll dig it out and update the main file. I didn't think anyone would be interested in that. I'll include it in the next pack. I think @@JAWSFreelao did one.

Please don't tag me in request threads.

You will decide which gun I will model next.

Always liked the aesthetic of DLT-19, that has my vote. -
STAR WARS: Movie Duels (Remaster of Movie Duels II)

Don't worry about meeting a deadline. The benefits of mods over actual games is that you don't have to meet a market date - take your time and release it when it's up to your standards. -

I think that ship has sailed at this point. -
@@Vade Parvis is doing a very impressive overhaul of the Imperial faction in this thread: https://jkhub.org/topic/9498-vade-parviss-workshop-yet-another-neverending-wips/ TIE pilots are one of them.

Is that regulation, soldier?

Yeah, it was a real pet peeve of mine for awhile now. The original was a reskin of HS's Dooku model that someone released on JK3Files years ago. The one everyone's Tarkin about.

When you're one of 1.2 million twins so you've got to try and stand out...

If we're talking post-ROTJ, at the height of their powers, Luke without question. During the OT, when he's still that farmboy from Tatooine learning the ropes? Katarn lays down some ol' fashioned Bryar justice.
-
That's a really nice reskin - have a link?
-
You're right! I'll get that changed.

Looking good, nice to get some Clone Wars variants in here. I know you're planning Eeth Koth next, any others on your list? I'd love to see you add those gauntlets to the female model as well - like Adi Gallia, for example.

Decided to spend the morning 'remastering' some of the older issues - namely replacing some of the more dated character models with less derpy ones. The worst offenders were the early models of Padme and Tarkin. I think it makes a big difference: Padme (Senator Gear) before and after: Tarkin before and after:

There won't be such a long gap for the next issue compared to the last one, as production is already well under way. Here's a preview of both the cover and some new clonetroopers who will be featuring in it:

But seriously, I think you've completely missed the point. In this particular instance, @@AshuraDX was talking specifically about how poorly optimised / converted for use in JKA many ports are. It's why there's rampant transform errors or bland-looking textures in a lot of them - and I say this as someone who has used them myself. And guess what? He's right. Ashura and I have different views on to what extent ported assets can be useful, but he's 100% correct that if someone is going to do it, they should make every effort to do it right. Not to mention seeing that kind of shade thrown at one of our best 3D model artists by someone whose greatest achievement is learning to package a bunch of ports into a single .zip and pretend they made them on the MB2 forums made me cringe so hard I got whiplash.

So this is what happens when I binge-watch Clone Wars episodes in the background: The face is re-sculpted from another HP model (Fenrir Greyback - who knew that franchise of all things would have things we could use for Star Wars?) on a reskinned Weequay body and armed with reskinned Zygerrian gear from the long-dead Clone Wars Adventures MMO.

"Commander Cody, the time has come. Execute Order...64?" Welcome to the Hub!

Yeah, San Hill and Darth Plagueis (the two most famous Muuns) both seem to be of the noseless variety. Not quite sure why some of them in the Clone Wars ended up with such big noses. Probably easier just to show you and let you judge for yourself. This is what I started with (Lord Voldemort of all people!) compared to what I ended up with. All in all probably took about 60-90 minutes from first opening up Blender to loading up the final kitbash in Modview:

One more for today: Created using the Kaminoan model's body as a base, reskinned and given extra adornment/humanoid legs. Then shortened the collar and added a Muun-style jacket. The head is from a free 3D model site then heavily resculpted and reshaped in Blender to produce the Muun skull shape and facial structure (e.g. eyes that are a lot higher in proportion to the nose/mouth when compared to a human).

I just revisited the ModDB page (since a lot of the images in this sub-forum are no longer available due to Photobucket ransomware) and I just wanted to reiterate that the level design in this upcoming mod looks absolutely astounding. So many distinct environments that instantly make this feel like a classic.

Well the WIPs continue, so I imagine I'll release more later down the line. Today I took up @@Delta-573 's request for Sate Pestage/Palpatine's Advisors: The hats are from the Kinect game, but the faces were sourced from a free 3D models website and manipulated a little in Blender to capture the tone of two cold, calculating advisors to the Emperor. They've been made to look a little young than their ROTJ appearances, these skins putting them in the late Republic / early Empire era.
