  1. I first played JK2 in like 2009 I think and didn't make a mod until 2010 for JKA. Then most of my involvement in modding was for the Jedi Betrayal project until I left in 2012. I haven't really made any mods since other than my high res JK2 texture pack. I've never even had that much interest in Jedi Academy. I've only played through JA like twice, JO maybe three times, and I very rarely play multiplayer for JA or JO, only if I happen to be incredibly bored. A big part of the reason why I still stick around here is because of the community. The site is big enough that it's actually a community but it's small enough that you kind of know everyone a little bit. That's what I like about JKHub. A lot of other online communities are so big that it's hard to keep up with everything and everyone that I quickly lose interest. I've had long periods of absence here, but for some reason I keep coming back.
  2. Movie Battles is probably the biggest, most successful total conversion mod JA has ever had because it created its own pretty popular spin-off community. KOTF (Knights of the Force) was very popular as well but it was single-player only and a lot of people here frown at it because of plagiarism.
  3. Not a big fan of Wiz Khalifa, but I respect his producer's taste in beats. One of his songs covers a track from Chrono Trigger, a really great SNES RPG. Actually sounds pretty cool IMO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEqpVQEV7zo
  4. Can't wait to see what Ashura does to this.
  5. Has anyone ever considered making a second mirror of all of these mods? You can literally download all mods from my mirror with 1 click so it shouldn't be too hard to back them up somewhere and put them on a second mirror.
  6. Ahhhh....
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_Ydoe4Q-Gg ^ I freakin' love this song. It starts out kinda slow but then it builds up to an awesome climax.
  8. In b4 April fools
  9. http://www.box.com/jkarchive EDIT: Also, it's on the RPmod site as well. http://rpmod.jediholo.net/gameasset/files/name/rpg-baseattack-v10-no-npc
  10. Just got my 16 GB for the Mac. Everything runs way better now. Programs still start up slower than my main rig (Mac has dual Core i5, main rig has AMD-FX 8320 quad/eight core) but since I have such a massive amount of memory I can just leave everything in the background like Mac always does and then pull programs up when I need to. This Mac still eats up a ton of ram though. I just pretty much have Chrome and Photoshop open and 6.5 gigs of memory are in use. My main rig only has 8 GB and I can alt tab out of games and have Photoshop open and only have like 50% memory usage.
  11. That's one of my other big gripes with Apple. I'm almost certain that they purposely slow down your devices after system updates. My iPad Mini ran perfect on iOS 7 but when I updated to iOS 8 it ran like garbage, and there is no significant graphical difference between iOS 7 and iOS 8. I'd understand if it was slow on the update to iOS 7 since there were a ton of new effects, but seriously, either they purposely slow down your device or purposely don't optimize the OS for old devices. I agree too, my Mac Mini has 4 GB of ram and manages it terribly. That's why I just ordered 16 GB of Mac Ram, hopefully that will be enough. I had 4 GB on my old PC for years and I never had such huge slowdowns like I have on my Mac. 4 GB I thought was modest but not incredibly slow. Apple products are awesome for that first year that you use them, but it seems like after the year-long honeymoon of having the latest thing they just want you to feel like shit for not buying their newest product.

  13. I can't understand why so many people have an irrational hatred for Apple. I'm far from an Apple fanboy (the only mac I have is a Mac Mini I got fairly recently), and I've gotten rid of my iPad in favor of an Android tablet. I still think Apple makes great products though. The only real downsides to their products I can think of are price and the closed-off nature of Mac and iOS, which was one of the main reasons why I switched to Android. Also, you probably actually use a lot of services from these companies that you trash talk. Linux isn't all sunshine and rainbows either. It's great that it's free and open, but it can also be a pain in the ass from time to time, especially if you aren't a tech wizard nerd who spends all day tweaking an OS.
  14. THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!
  15. Wow, love that Skybox. This map looks cool.
  16. Not usually that big into metalcore music but I actually like We Came As Romans. In addition to screaming they have melodic parts of it. It's kind of like metalcore Anberlin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq3px_URCuE
  17. Maybe Kyle and Luke are secretly gay lovers.
  18. Did Lucas plan on Luke and Leia being siblings before ROTJ or did he just kinda decide to make that happen in ROTJ? If he already knew that he wanted them to be siblings that makes it so much more awkward.
  19. Moocha shaka baka... Remember that girl that stows away on your ship? For some reason I can still remember how she talks.
  20. Oh, this is from the EU. Not from Star Wars 7.
  21. I always try to keep my desktop pretty clean and free of clutter. I value simplicity. Gmod on and off is probably the only game I really play these days. @@Bek http://top1walls.com/walls/games/3d-abstract-cube-1640633-1920x1080.jpg
  22. How would someone theoretically go about making a lightsaber like that possible in the game? It would probably involve a fair amount of mathematics I would assume, getting the thing to spin around in 360 degrees?
  23. I do think that the basic structure and layout of the outdoors city I made was pretty good. It's big enough that it can actually pass as a city and might make for a good multiplayer map if a lot of enterable buildings and skyscrapers were added. I can already imagine taking an elevator up to one of the skyscrapers to start sniping people down below.
  24. I would put this on the download page if it was actually playable. To me it just doesn't feel right to put something half completed on there. There are many glaring errors with the map upon starting it. The only thing you can really do is explore around the somewhat empty city.
