  1. This is a request to convert these models to mdl & mdx and their textures to tga, so that they're usable for KOTOR 1 & 2 to add diversity to both games, a few aliens here and there have been ported from KOTOR to JKA, so I'd like the favor returned.

  2. Unpopular opinion incoming: the first Knights of the Old Republic ain't that good. 

     

    Now, that being said, I've had my fun with it -- and plenty of it! It's a fun game, but I felt it didn't add nearly any depth to the Star Wars universe. It felt like a glossy, superficial layer of goodgood to tide over EU fans for some while longer.

     

    KotOR 2, however, oh my god! That's the best Star Wars game, even in it's originally broken, unfinished state. It presents what is easily the most nuanced, complicated view of the Star Wars universe. For once, it really isn't about an epic battle of good and evil, instead being about everyday decisions, consequential ripple effects, and so much more. It's a very grounded and mature take on everything Star Wars is, and it opened the door for thought and discussion in a lot of ways. 

     

    But, I digress, KotOR, especially from a relative point of view, was a game I could probably live without and not miss too much. 

     

    K2 and Republic Commando are the pinnacle of the SW EU IMO. 

  3. I absolutely agree, there were some frankly DISGUSTING posts in that thread that stank of ignorance and bigotry.

     

    This kind of stuff makes me want to toss JKHub into the garbage can honestly, the community on other Star Wars sites I visit are more sensible than what I've seen displayed here from time to time. 

    & It's not even political opinion, it's just certain members being flat out wrong and needing re-education- it's exhausting to witness the stupidity.

  4. So after having a dive into the source code dump of JKA and noticed widescreen code for Xbox, I figured hey! let's do widescreen support!

     

    Now before anyone yells: zomg you ported illegal codez! No, I didn't. I've taken the idea of what was done for Xbox and applied it using a cvar. It's basically a long list of "if (cg_widescreen.integer)" all throughout cg_draw.

     

    This is at 1280x720 resolution. As you can see, the HUD is stretched. Now I turn on cg_widescreen...
