  1. That shouldn't be a big problem. The mod uses transparent .tga-files that contain the blood textures. So, you don't want pools of blood, just some drops and smoke?

Yup and the effect that happens whenever you move your lightsaber into someone, for instance Chewie- and in the base game it's some little sparks- but in this game it's ridiculous blood sparks that shoot everywhere.

But it seems if I remove them the blood stops entirely in every other way as well.

  2. Gore/Dismemberment Mod

After some playing I've realised that this isn't really to my taste, the red smoke is fantastic though but the sparks of blood replacing the light sparks when you strike someone are unsightly.

So I was wondering if maybe @@Lancelot could help me in finding a way of tweaking this mod so that it essentially just adds that gorgeous red smoke, with a little blood splatter but no blood sparks.

    Did it work?

I don't think that a reupload would be necessary, especially when the essential files are unmodded. If removing the ext_data folder really does the trick, then it's something everyone can do who has that mod already.

Yup, worked perfectly but now you've got me in the mind to try removing certain things that irk me from other mods too now LOL

For instance the NPC heads in JK Enhanced that you can select in SP that are of characters ingame UGH.

  4. It's not necessary to put it in your autoexec.

The seta command will automatically add it to your config, so just typing "seta cg_fov 97" in the console one time will make it be saved.

Realistically all of what you have in your autoexec can be done without it, and you'll get faster loading times since you aren't doing vid_restart and snd_restart every time you start up the game.

    It worked! Thanks. (:

I was unaware of this, I'll let you know how it goes.

  6. seta cg_fov 97

    Works.

Don't know what to tell ya, doesn't work for me.

    This is the text inside the autoexec;

    seta cg_renderToTextureFX "0"
    seta r_customWidth "1920"
    seta r_customHeight "1080"
    seta r_mode "-1"
    seta r_picmip "0"
    seta cg_shadows "2"
    seta r_DynamicGlow "1"
    seta r_ext_texture_filter_anisotropic "16"
    seta s_khz "44"
    cg_fov "97"
    snd_restart
    vid_restart
  7. I see no reason why cg_fov shouldn't be saved tbh. Are you talking about singleplayer or multiplayer btw?

    SP.

    Hnng. It's cg_fov

Not like it matters, doesn't work either way for me.

All I'm using is a few cosmetic mods and JK Enhanced btw.

There is a quick and easy way to permanently set the FOV. Just create an autoexec.cfg (but I think it should be located in the base folder already).

Open it with the Editor (you know, the program that kinda looks like Wordpad, but isn't) or with the more advanced Notepad++.

Then, all you have to to is copy cg_fow 97 (or your preferred value) into the autoexec.cfg and save it. The game should load this setting automatically.

If you also want to have permanent widescreen settings (which also contains the FOV setting), just copy and paste these commands into the autoexec file:

    set r_customWidth 1920
    set r_customHeight 1080
    set r_mode -1
    set r_picmip 0
    set cg_shadows 2
    set r_DynamicGlow 1
    set r_ext_texture_filter_anisotropic 16
    set s_khz 44
    cg_fow 97
    snd_restart
    vid_restart

Sorry to say but it didn't work.

  10. Can you tell us exactly how you usually set-up the FOV?

Through the console but it gets tedious quickly, for some reason Jedi Academy doesn't recognise "seta_fov x" in the manner Outcast does-

also I'd like to know, if anyone has the information- why in Jedi Knight Enhanced does changing FOV not affect True-View.

  11. Essentially what I'm looking for is a Luke Skywalker replacement skin for JK2, something like this: https://jkhub.org/files/file/1700-luke-skywalker-return-of-the-jedi/ For JK2?

And while I'm at it can I request a Frankenstein of the above Luke's head on this body: https://jkhub.org/files/file/2620-classic-jedi-project-cjp-luke-standalone/

Because I really hate how the mission screen head is bugged although I really like it ingame, thank you.
