  1. Hopefully the grow a brain and just sell the software. Autodesk is such a terrible company, if I switch software I'll either go to Houdini or Blender, won't use anything Autodesk. 3ds Max will probably be next since they're integrating everything into Maya since you have to remember that just like Softimage, 3ds Max was an acquisition as well from Discreet. Autodesk doesn't really make anything, they just play monopoly with software since they buy the development teams when buying out the software.
  2. If it goes away completely I'll probably use it for a while then migrate to another software that is NOT owned by Autodesk. With Maya's terrible UI and 3ds Max's aweful animation tools there's no reason to use another product from Autodesk since ZBrush also beats the shit out of Mudbox. It was also nice back when Avid owned SI since you could buy 3 different versions and the Fundamentals was affordable for the hobbyist.
  3. They wanted to kill it from day one. They bought the software, took what they needed from it and integrated it into their other softwares. Wish they would just sell it to someone who will care about it since when Avid owned it Softimage was killing 3ds max and Maya in features.

  5. @@Lizfizz, you should probably take the time to upload your work here since there are many countries that can no longer access the filefront network, hence why we all moved away from that site (along with other reasons).
  6. Meh, I can't stand any type of techno/electronic/dubstep kinda music, it's at the top of my list of most hated type of music as a very close second place to country music.
  7. @@Circa, could you maybe just rename this thread to "Good speed runs" or something of the sort? I keep finding cool speed run videos, never really watched them before but it's kinda interesting.
  8. The tail swipes at you and causes melee damage, they didn't do a ton of damage, they were effective by attacking in swarms.
  9. Yeah, now that you mention it the lips in general seem a bit too thin.
  10. I dunno, it's mostly up to DT but we mostly seem to be keeping everything minus the saber combat which will be improved by using this engine as close to the original game as possible.
  11. I don't think that they poison you, just deal melee damage with the tail swipe.

  14. I don't think these are being worked on anymore. We also started a DF2 mod in case you've missed it.
  15. It has nothing to do with the amount of frames, it's MP, the engine requires all players to use the _humanoid.gla.

Finally got it mostly sorted out, as you can see the area of the Femur was very difficult given the way the mechanical joint moves, when viewed in the schematic view all the links making it work can be confusing to look at, even for me since it took 3 tries to remake it for the right side since duplicate symmetrically didn't work. Forgot that I already UV mapped this. XD Just needs textures and animations.
  19. Found this awesome video that should help anyone who plays Minecraft out a lot on planning out what they're building by first making a simple 3D mesh inside of Softimage and converting it to voxels. You can do this in the free version of Softimage (Mod Tool).
  20. OK then, I'm going to get it game ready and send you the model bringing the first level just a little closer to completion. I gotta get back to work now on the TIE bomber and 8t88, been distracted with the AT-ST challenging my genius but I have the rig figured out finally.
  21. Well whenever you're online I'll send you the model scaled to size since I get weird errors when doing FBX->Noesis->MD3, something about the size and it chops off most of the wings. Maybe exporting from Max wont give you this problem. That is unless I can export one that is small and you can scale it in Radiant.
