  1. Wacom, pretty much the industry standard, both mine and Inyri's are Wacom tablets, just different models. You have to use it quite a bit daily like say if you were a graphic artist by profession to really burn through the replacement tips/nibs. Mine doesn't get a whole lot of use since I like to sublet my texture jobs so I'm on my original tip still and I've owned it for 6 years. Never had a problem with calibration. Only problem I had was the right click on the mouse wearing out and the Wacom brand mouse is pricy ($45), it's nice cause it doesn't need batteries but I finally gave up after my 3rd one and just use a plain old $19 logitech mouse from target.
  2. Tablets are so win especially if you're going to be painting your own textures and doing sculpting, I'm using a 9x12 Intuos 3.
  3. May seem low rez to you but IMO I think she splurged, mostly on polies but the texture map is a perfect size for a large rifle.
  4. 512* to me is plenty for a gun model, yeah a picture from a 3d viewer/modeling program will be covering your screen making the resolution noticeable but in game a 512* and a 1024* will look the same on a model that size unless you're playing around with camera controls intentionally trying to look at it up close. Making a low poly model with low resolution textures look good is WAAAAAAAAY more pro than just craming it with detail, it's a game not a large budget CG movie.
  5. They must have figured by now it's too late to really stop it, I'm sure quite a few people have downloaded and installed already.
  6. ^By Adobe or perhaps someone doing something outside that they shouldn't? Don't see what they could lose by letting a peice of software so out dated be free, companies should consider it but only once the software has reached a certain age assuring not much could be gained from professional use.

Of course, just extract the color you want to eliminate say yellow, grab all files associated such as the menu icon, core, blade glow and wall glow textures, change them to the color you want but do not change ANY names of files. Zip/pack everything up into a NEW pk3 with the same folder structre that the assets have for the saber blades and place your files in the folders and you should have replaced yellow for instance with silver. Since Raven doesn't exist and Lucas Arts wont care why not reupload SP RGB sabers mod? It's no longer considered illegal like it was before.

  10. ^Dunno where you were at but my server doesn't have t1_surprise on teh server list. I didn't even have it running today.

I got this working, seems that if /r_dynamicglow is set to anyting but 0 QEffects wont work, it's weird though with the shaders being super intensified my FPS is better than with /r_dynamicglow 3. What settings are people running and got any screenshots of some decent settings where everything isn't super saturated and contrasted? I don't like randomly playing with video settings in the menu since it messes up the widescreen.

  13. There are so many good SW themed maps that could be done so I voted other. KotOR: Valley of the Dark Lords (already talked about in the beginning) Dromund Kaas A darker themed Yavin 4 with Exar Kuns and Naga Sadows tombs. Taris post sith bombardment (the TOR game isn't that great but this location was neat)
  14. Maybe it was the old version, didn't work right, made a batch file and problem solved.
  15. ^You got the latest installer? I had to redownload from here since I got the same errors, launching from a batch file works better than using the launcher too btw.
  16. You'll never notice a difference in anything despite what you think over 60fps because I reach the 90 limit and when lots of things are on screen it goes down to 60 and nothing changes. Get better hardware or turn gfx settings lower since I highly doubt you're using anything like /r_dynamicglow 2 or /cg_shadows 2 which are the 2 real fps killers if you don't have a decent PC but they aren't enabled by default.
  17. ^If you do a quick search you should be able to find a fix for Desaan's sounds for JA since most of his taunts are just the Cultist ones, or since you have JO you can take the sounds yourself and make a little pk3 that will fix it. Word of advice though since you're new, never modify the stock assets, making a new pk3 will overwrite anything even stock assets since it loads pk3 files in reverse alphabetical.
  18. This, JK2 and DF2 have awesome campaigns, I only play MP on JA. Not just the story that's bad in JA but the game itself isn't challenging.
  19. Oh awesome, I didn't have it up today though, it is now, I'll try to get out of the habit of closing it down. It's set to siege desert atm, I do have a trip map that is like 90% complete, just only really needs a few small things but I'd like to get desert going since it's fun once you place a bunch of bmodel doors on all the buildings.
  20. Due to the increase in PC resources I may just leave this up all the time, if anyone is good at building a lugormod server just join and I'd probably let you go nuts.

  22. Well now I'm torn, in the old cutscenes he looks more taupe/bone colored but in the game Defiance Ashura got the olive color pretty much right. Input from the community is needed, what looks better? I also just realized the Legacy of Kain series is on steam for $25, if anyone wants to take a trip down memory lane to when the games had brilliantly thought out stores and dialogue better than a large production movie then I highly recommend it.
