For me it'd have to be jedi's home JL II as it was the only custom map I grew up with on jka
Other than that I always enjoyed playing campgrounds on esl or going back on bespin. I'm easily pleased with maps so long as they don't look like turd with badly tiled textures and stuff lol. There's also maps that were decent for functionality; T3home for the specific training knowledge or prophet clan map, which my old team used for training.
I like seeing good dueling/tffa maps though, there's quite a few of them.

It's odd that I couldn't see this as a separate model somewhere,
but it should be within this mod as it mentions the models:http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/Star_Wars_Movie_Duels;105817or download the demo to save 900mb for one model xDhttp://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/Star_Wars_Movie_Duels_2_Demo;97642And I would've thought it would be in moviebattles? If you haven't downloaded them yet, here's the model separated, oddly I didn't have it saved either:

Yeah no issues here on windows side either, I can confirm that the crash when attaching a model to a tag is fixed, but i'll wait until they get added to the left panel to test properly as I attach a model to a model that has been attached already to a tag of the model loaded initially (xD). Not sure if anyone's mentioned yet but .ideal files load fine with models aswell, those that save the zoom and angle of a session in modview.

Great to finally see models like chewie in modview properly without having to tweak them in photoshop afterwards testing out my cut & paste skills xD
One thing i've noticed is that it crashes when attaching a weapon to a loaded model; I usually load a hilt model to r_hand then a blade to that loaded model but it crashed on the first step.
I could vector up a logo if you had some ideas, otherwise I could see what a few of us can get together with ideas and make some logo ideas for you

Same error

Although it seems to be a few years ago, might be worth trying to contact one of the project members from ToSL. One of them was online 3weeks ago and another 21hours ago (from now), so try sending Serenity937 or Bliznez a PM on moddb.

Well I would want this luke hybrid as a downloadable model by the end of it seriously xD
It's gonna be exciting to see the progress of this with all of the animations. I love seeing the cape, tabard flap and lekku working more independently even from these initial animations.

You find the head/lower/torso .skin files, copy the contents from all 3 and put them into one empty notepad file, then save it as "customname.skin".
Then you'll need to find all of the textures that it uses and only include those into your pk3 file.
If you're unsure how to lay out a pk3 file, look into other skin PK3's and you'll get the hang of it.
You could also copy the sounds files for the skin/make your own, and i'd suggest taking the shader but you'll have to remove a lot of shaders that won't be used with your skin from that pack.

Would you really wear a turtleneck underneath armour? xD
I'd probably suggest doing a little more to maybe the armour itself or kyle's face so it looks a little more different to the original. The idea of putting generic clothes underneath the armour is a good one though.

Okay here's the readme:

Try to remember to include it when you upload your re-skins/model edits please

I spoke with claim today and it looks like he's got no problems for you to upload your reskins/model frankensteins of what he worked on. I've asked him to write up a readme file so that you can add it with your files when you upload them so credit can be given where it's due (for rigging, weighting etc).
I'll include it in this topic when he writes it up, and pm both of you so you have it. I'll pester him when I see him online each day, he tends to forget to do things unless prompted

I've got him on steam, so I can ask him for both of you if he's okay for his work to be used etc.
You can pm me some screenshots of the WIPs so I can show him if you want too.

So long as you do more than just use the model's original textures (you mentioned wanting to make several reskins), and you contact lt.claim to ask if you can upload the model (though the original isn't his obviously), then it's a solid maybe xD
I'd suggest doing your reskins anyway, as it's clear your intentions are to do so regardless, and contact claim to see what he says; i'm sure he won't mind so long as he's credited for putting the pieces together. Then upload it and the jkhub staff will make a decision, as the rules state that they take ported content submissions on a case-by-case basis; and without seeing your finished product it's harder to make a decision that would be in your favor.

Yeah Lt.Claim based his 'ports' on the rig of the kyle katarn model, and I think all of his models used the lower part of the body, aswell as the hands as they were already rigged/weighted. He told me that he always struggled with the weighting of the lower body so he decided to stick to using kyle's legs for all of them xD some worked and some looked odd, but he didn't see it as a problem as (correct me if i'm wrong) but the UV of kyle's legs are the same as the majority of the base jka models so it's easily re-skinnable to match the rest of the model. He just never did reskin them
Here's one of his last ones he did before he took another break from modding:
It looks fine there, but once the tabard/kilt was added and you run around with him in-game, you can see how badly it was weighted. It was like he has live gremlins in his back trying to escape xD

Whatthefont struggles because of the pixelation most likely; I use it a lot for work when customers bring in their own designs but have no idea what font was used on their logos, it's generally pretty accurate.
@@leadarc are there no better quality images using the same typeface? I've never played the game so I have no idea.

Indeed. It looks familiar to parts are from Claim's trooper pack he made on MBII unless you gathered them too, but it looks really cool here. I'm just not sure about your jango heads on your models, it's something about them.

I'm sure most of us would love to have an updated modview to cater for those areas mentioned above. Having visible shaders, better alpha previews and being able to view JK2 models without changing the _humanoid files to the JK2 ones would be great.

Yes, I don't have the file anymore as the model wasn't great imo, but here's a video I found to show you what it looked like:

Who's Sideshow?
I'm presuming he means Sideshow collectibles; they make high quality figures/statues. They've made a few troopers which i'm sure you'll enjoy: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/brands/star-wars/

Yes, rename the folder from "DT_Maul" to "Lord_Maul_r" and make sure the path in the .skin file directs to "/models/players/lord_maul_r" instead of "models/players/DT_maul" and you're good to go.

Ah good. I think with team skins you need to exaggerate rather than being conservative on what areas you make blue/red. I'd suggest making the horns coloured, the 2 "down arrows?" on his boots, some of the patches on them too, and possibly parts of his lower robe. I see it as making the team differentiation as obvious as possible without making the whole skin blue or red xD
This is just my opinion though.
Also @@DT85 is it me or does one of his front horns looks oddly shaped? The left one.

Hey there.
JKJA is still played, obviously not as much as 4-6 years ago when servers were full all day everyday xD but there's still a lot of people around, many servers and several communities still around that have been there from the beginning (or not far off xD). JKHub has become the central hub for everyone to gather (much like filefront's JKA forums used to be), so you'll find the most of what's left in the modding community here somewhere.
I'm sure we'd love to see what 8 years of experience would bring to the table into JKA modding
