  1. Well, check the first post with some screens of Plasma's and mine.

You can already see some changes I've done.

I'm sorry but I don't see the difference, other than a minor change in the hood - Is changing the black to another tone of black really worth it? Seems like nitpicking to me.

Could you perhaps give us more screenshots that show these ''changes'' a bit better?

  2. Do you think that someone could make an indie game not based on Star Wars that has the combat system of Jedi Academy?

Yes, this is possible but it requires a lot of time and dedication. Cheapest way to approach this, is to modify Jedi Academy, and to release your work as a non-profitable mini-game (similar to MovieBattles 2, Jedi Knight Galaxies, Knights of the Force etc. etc.) But even if you somehow manage to pull it off, you still need to "sell" your idea if you wish to get some attention in the gaming community. Maybe you'll get lucky? Who knows, some great games started as simple mods! And indie games are really HOT right now.

    Go for it.

  3. I disagree with you, because I actually like the prequels, New Hope might have been a one-shot thing, but Lucas had a pretty good idea of how the story would continue for 2 more films (even 5 more films supposedly). While he was writing those stories, he was already doing early scripts for what would later turn out to be the prequels. Lucas is an excellent writer, he as imagination, but he's not the best director. The story from episode 1 to 6 is amazing, but a lot of the ''bad stuff'' in prequels was the result of bad directing. Take Anakin for example, Hayden Christensen is not that bad of an actor, but he got his share of dirt when fans overreacted to Anakins whiny, emo, needy personality in AOTC & ROTS. He did what Lucas told him to do.

"Disney is working closely with Lucas" sounds good on paper, but in reality he has very little to say. He didn't write Episode 7, or Episode 8.

  4. I would have preferred GL's story about the Whills over this new weird trilogy with too much political aspects. It could have at least tied the loose ends about Anakins origin, with a deeper sight to the Force itself.

Because the fight between good and evil - jedi and the sith- is eternal. Anyone can write a story about Luke or one of his grand-grand sons/daughters or Kanan (whoever) vs sith lords, but only George can further expand the universe, explain everything and well, we dont have to like it BUT its his story and whatever he says will be canon. At least thats how I see it.

  5. A small off-topic: Did anyone ever hear of Respawn Entertainment? What games d'they make?

Yes, they're the people behind the Call of Duty- franchise and the Titanfall games, so it's safe to say that their specialty is first person shooter games. I have to admit that they are good at creating cinematically impressive stories, but the gameplay itself feels more or less the same in each of these games, so I'm not sure what to expect from them. This new StarWars game is going to be an action/adventure game with story set shortly after the events of episode three, and we're going to play as a Jedi/Padawan, so it doesn't seem logical to me that it would be played from the first person perspective, unless the game has VR support.

  6. I have a hunch that it wil basically just be TFU re-visited with the latest graphics. Since it's set in between episodes three and four.

It could have the inquisitors as the main villains, if so, then we'll probably get some easter eggs about Kanan and his past.
It's not something I want, but Disney has tendency of building bridges between the movies, games and animated series.

  7. I was referring to Maul being cut in half, yes.Maybe this has something to do with the age of the saber, or the crystal inside it to be more specific.(?) Maybe there is so much blood in the Cantina scene from New Hope because Obi-Wan didnt have a reason/ the tools to maintain his saber, thus the blade was not hot enough to burn the wound? Sort of like an old iron sword might still look fine, but isnt sharp enough for even cutting logs.

Whatever the case, you cant say blood isnt canon if its visible in 2 of the main movies. Even if its a blood mist, it stil indicates that there is blood in that scene. So my point was that discarding this mod because "blood is not canon" isn't a valid argument. If you simply dont think it suits KotF, then say so.

  8. Alden Ehrenreich gave a new fresh face for a younger Han Solo, no complains about that. And Donald Glover was surprisingly good as Lando Calrissian, same as Woody Harrelson managed to make Beckett somewhat interesting. But - Emilia Clarke & Thandie Newton were only chosen because of their huge popularity in HBO's Game of Thrones and Westworld. (instead of trying to find someone who could act the role, they prefer to use the cash-magnets) Emilia for example just couldn't bring out that frightened, beaten & used- persona in her character. She's too pretty for the role, someone like Mila Kunis would have been more convincing at that. Didn't much like that droid either, it was really annoying to be honest. But my biggest concern was that the Solo film was really not that different from TFA, R1 and TLJ, there was a strong sense of 'Marvel way of making films'- about these Disney StarWars films. They look the same to me, a few ha-ha moments here and there but.. none of these films really stand out, y'know? The best scene in Solo, the one that I liked the most, was when Chewie met Han for the fist time. It showed a deeper layer within the StarWars universe, and especially later on in the movie, the audience could see for themselves, just what happened to the wookies after the Clone Wars and the Rise of the Empire. So that was nice, but Darth Maul in the end? Really??

You'd think I would be extremely happy about this, but I'm really not. He's the coolest Sith right after Vader, but somehow seeing an older Ray Park as Darth Maul, just... didn't feel that good.

  9.

Actually, we have many non-humanoid creatures, but not all of them are here.

Shame that we don't have them here. It would benefit the whole community (what is left of it after a decade) if we shared more.

JKG & MBII for example have so many great animations, models and visuals that have to be individually picked for base/ja++
