Well they just announced a new Indiana Jones game being developed by Bethesda’s studio Machine Games. So it’s looking likely we will be getting even more.

They announced this sort of "rebrand" today as the main IP behind all Star Wars and other Lucasfilm properties going forward. Of course, this doesn't necessary mean that they will be publishing their own games again, but this does mean they could be planning to license out more games beyond just EA's contract. We already see that in the case of the Lego Star Wars games. This could be a very good start in the right direction.
Notice how they gave a very short glimpse at Jedi Academy at the end of their sizzle reel. I think that was just to highlight the recent re-release on Nintendo Switch and PS4 and it's one of the biggest fan-favorites, but it's still interesting they bothered at all. They also had a lot of KOTOR characters shown in the Galaxy of Heroes spot, which is also an interesting choice.

Looks great, what do you mean? Anything is welcome to be submitted as long as it adheres to our file submission rules. So unless that model is ported from another game, it should be just fine.

This issue should be fixed now.

I seem to remember it being in a huge saber hilt pack from way back in the day. I’ll have to search my archive to see.

@bigphil2695 are you loading from a save file? You should be able to reload whatever map you were on from the first autosave it made for that map and load fine. If not, just try reloading the map you were on in the console with the map command.

I tried that initially but decided there wasn't much difference than using the photoshop 2.0 upscale. given they are painted textures and not a photo. The overlays do more for the look than the upscale. its just for when they are up close they don't get real blurry.

So, before I start working on lots of new stuff, I wanted to fix some of the old stuff.
Completed Updates:
Replaced the Death Star plans model in the top floor secret area. (Original was tiny) Fixed saving the game in the temple. Saber Defense Level 2 is now granted after completing the fifth wave of remote training droids. There's now a triggerable holorecording in the archives that shares a short excerpt from the celebrations on the forest moon of Endor. The hidden catacombs now display that you've entered a secret area. Defeating Raltharon and Ella now triggers a third sparring partner in the courtyard. Defeating that opponent will trigger an interaction with Luke and you will now be granted a second lightsaber style if successful. Prevented the ability to Force Pull the meditating Jedi in the garden as a means to attain the Jump 2 holocron. Fixed a typo in Yavin Trial's objective. There's now a chap on one of the medical beds who'll drop a few lines to you if you enter his vicinity. If anyone would be so kind as to let me know if they come across any more issues or bugs, that'd be superb! Hopefully I haven't broken something new in the process of doing these things or forgot to include something while repackaging it all. I'd like to redo a few things in general (like the entire trial map and various cutscenes!) but I think it'd be best to press forward. That said! I am also interested to hear what people would like to see and do in the academy specifically in-between excursions, so please let me know your suggestions! I make no promises, but your feedback often helps inspire many ideas. 😃

It’s a feature built into Windows 10 with the Game Bar. Just press Windows key + G while JKA is running.

Would love to see sorting options for servers, like amount of players and gametype. Peeking player names would be cool too, to see who is on the server before you join it. 
Then of course rcon abilities will be a nice and helpful addition.

Hello, everyone.
I am excited to show you a mobile application that I am developing right now.
It's Jedi Knight Chat or simply JKChat mobile application. (The name is not final and mays be changed in the future.)
The app lets you connect and chat on Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast servers without a computer.

The idea of the application is to be able to chat with your mates on game servers when you don't have access to your computer at current moment.
It could be useful for people who are coming back from work, and would like to notify their friends they will be able to play soon with those who are on the server right now.
Also it could be useful for people who barely play but like to chat with their old mates from 00s who they played a lot with back then.
Also RP servers would probably like the application.
Well, everyone has their own reason for chatting in this game.
Also the 2nd feature is the application could be useful for server admins. You will be able to manage your server remotely from your mobile device when something serious is happening on your server (partially implemented).
It's only the first stage of the app and it's still in active development, the second stage will be started once I gather some feedback after the alpha test.

It's not necessarily to be only limited to chat, I could implement other game features. Probably everything is possible that doesn't require game assets.

The answer @Raz0r gave is the only answer, really. Even though OpenJK is open source, it was a result of the source code being released without Lucasfilm's approval, so it's risky.
You're better off making it a mod of JKA, use OpenJK as a base, and doing as much work as you can to make it seem like a new game while still requiring JKA's assets to be installed/purchased. The game is cheap nowadays anyway, and anyone interested in your game will probably already have it in their Steam library anyway.
Nobody here can stop you though, if you want to risk it, go for it. But the moment your game gets any traction and articles are written on it, the moment Lucasfilm will catch wind and possibly do something about it.

Bruh. That finale was epic. Still can’t believe we got that scene with Luke. I figured if we did get him, it would be a hologram or something minimal. Seeing him in action with that green saber was incredible. The de-aging was fine, can’t expect perfection in that regard yet, however the de-aging of the voice was the impressive part. He sounded just like he did in the films, nothing like he does now.
Very very well done. Seeing Din’s face as he said goodbye was one of the most emotional scenes in all of Star Wars. Superb acting by Pascal for sure.
I kinda figured this would give an opportunity for a spinoff show for Luke and Grogu, and his academy startup with young Ben, but none of the announced shows would really apply to that. I don’t think we’ll get much in the next season about Grogu or Luke. I think it’ll probably focus more on Mandalorian related stuff. Bo Katan still needs to face off against Din for the dark saber and take back their planet, so I suspect that’ll be the main premise.

This won’t change the model itself, only the effective damage radius it has. If you want a sword to be physically longer, the model will need to be edited in a modeling program like Blender.

It's more a matter of time than participation, from what I understand. The two-months time frame you picked for the Mandalorian contest will probably draw more participants.
