I know there is a decent model out there for Qui-Gon, for JK2. Are there any other ones that are better?
I don't know of any, so I'm breaking down and requesting a new Qui-Gon model. Or at least a remodel of the Robed version.
This is the model in question, which isn't even on JKHub:

Oh okay. I'll have to redownload that. The anim.h comes with the SDK.
-
Where is that file? I've never seen it or heard of it before.
I tried getting SP to have the same saber transition as MP (no transition) one time but the only way I knew how successfully was to delete the lines in the CFG. Not to jack your thread, but out of curiosity, would anyone know how to do that?

It was bumped to say that we can wait...

Probably. Also, another point worth noting is that when both protect and absorb are used at the same time, the color changes to light blue. Not sure if that's just due to them overlapping or if it's actually a separate shader.

I have x86, but I already know it doesn't work because I'm running it on VirtualBox. I'm not sure why that's the case though.
-
I couldn't remember if you had figured that out earlier or not. I didn't feel like looking.
-
I'm not sure. I can't get ModView to work on my Windows 7.
It's not an obvious one I don't think. I guess you'll have to go through them all in ModView until you find it. It might be in the T7 anims or the V's.

The Mac App Store apps are different than others. I don't think they have Application Support folders.
There's probably no way to do it right now.
-
^That, and obviously BOTH_STAND2TO1 is when the lightsaber is deactivated.
Those should be it.
-
The Mac App Store version is already up to date. You don't need to patch it.
As far as mods go, to install them you need to go to the Jedi Academy app in your Applications folder, right click and go to "Show Package Contents", then go to Contents, then base.
All mods should be the same and work fine.
If you're wanting mods like JA+, Forcemod, MBII and all that crap, I have no idea.
-
I play other games online. Just not JA.
-
Same here. That's what motivates me to mod for the game, to keep it interesting.I'm in the same boat as yourself. I like replaying SP games as well, even Jedi Academy which does have a pretty bad story. To keep it interesting, I've developed my own mods, swapped characters around, changed dialogue and all sorts. At the end of the day, the gameplay's pretty good and that's what'll keep me playing.
-
I can't speak for everyone but for me personally, I just like replaying SP games. The gameplay is fun. Yeah, the story is horrible, but it's still fun. I'm just a big Star Wars fan, so it's one that I got into back in the day.The thing I don't get is how the F do people play JA SP and claim to have fun? The game is too easy and the story is so bad. Like the jasp.exe file could be damaged or corrupt and I wouldn't even care enough to reinstall the game just to fix it, it's been more years than I can remember since I played SP.

1313 is not going to be a FPS, the gameplay at E3 last year showed third person gameplay.Um... However awkward can it be, feel free to do it until any one proves that this really is fake. Maybe Affinity will find this proof when he'll have time.
But for now, I'm still positive that this is plausible. Whats more, I have another link for you guys :

Since you don't understand Polish, you'll have to believe that I translated it correct, or try to copy it into google translator.
On this site, in september 2011 was posted that LucasFilm is recruiting to three games : First Person Shooter , Flying action something, (don't know how to translate powietrzna gra akcji Star Wars Starfighter is from this genre) , and Action-Adventure.
It was almost two years ago, so FPS is most probably SW 1313, Flying Action MAY be this whole SW First Assault, and Action-Adventure MAY be JK3.
Not any proof but, its another piece of puzzle. These may refer to completely different titles of course.
@@minilogoguy18 Of course there is a great possibility that IF this game will be released, it will be screwed badly and have some stupid engine that will make it almost impossible to mod. But lets hope for the best.
First assault is going to be an FPS I believe. I can't remember where I read it. It's going to be similar to Battlefront but strictly first person, playing as Stormtroopers or Rebels.
And it's strictly for Xbox Live Arcade.

Where's Star Wars 1313?

I can't even find the .efx files for those two powers. Weird.
In gfx/effects, there are protectionfield2.jpg and p_shield.jpg. p_shield.jpg is for the health shield, I know for a fact, but it's possible that could be used for absorb and protect as well.
There are also the shield.jpg, shieldshell.jpg, and shieldshellring.jpg there, but I'm pretty sure those are for the battle droids in SP.

If your mods turn out good, why not share them? I'm sure you'll make great mods. Good luck.Master_Ibonek Haha, thanks for the idea. Once I get the hang of one head-splicing trick, who knows what I'll do in the future. But I'm sure I won't be uploading many mods. That's a job for some skilled modeller out there.
Thanks everyone, once more.
Hope I start to get the hang of these softwares, and get the feel for things. Wish me luck.

Alright. Thanks for all of the responses. I'll mess around with some of this.
-
Wouldn't that make the game really laggy if every single NPC is already spawned? I've done it this way before, and it was alright I guess, but I can't do that much with it.
-
I know I've posted this multiple places, now I want to get all the help in one place.
I have always wanted to make my own single player level, and attempted once but never got very far. What are the tools I need (hopefully there are Mac friendly ones) and are there good tutorials on how to do this.
Here's what I want to start out with:
An existing map, like a MP map from the game or ones others have made, and have enemies spawn. I don't want to start making my own maps. Yet.
After that, I want to know how to make cutscenes and all that jazz.
I would prefer the easiest way to do these things as possible.
Thanks.

Doing the default jedi heads in trooper armor would be a better option in my opinion because I don't think it's been done before. I'd download it right away if there was one.

I know, I have the model and have used it for years. I'm really surprised that nobody has made a new one after all this time.
