  1. I have the model, but I need the original ZIP file to upload.
  2. Does anyone have the original ZIP file of Haps' Stormtrooper for JKA? JK2files.com only has the JK2 version of a lot of JKA files now. It's odd. We only have the JK2 version here on JKHub, so I would like it to be uploaded. I've checked @@Syko's mirror but the file is damaged. If you aren't sure which one you have, check the readme. It'll say either Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy modification.
  3. Ah. I used to use that back in the day, but don't have it anymore. I believe the options are in the File or Edit menu, though that could he completely wrong.
  4. I know it seems complicated but it's really not, with those steps. Trust me, I'm no modeler, just a amateur texture artist and I did it. It's not as difficult as you might assume!
  5. A bunch of us just learned how to do this a couple days ago. I recommend taking a look at this thread and trying it yourself.
  6. Nope, that's the same .blend. The Kyle head is there. Like I said, everything works fine. I got the result I wanted, with only the head added. And I've tested renaming the Ghoul2 properties to match the parts, which really shouldn't matter, as long as they aren't the same as other existing parts. And what do you mean delete the remains of Kyle? I only had the head there. Unless you mean in the other layer? Because I never had to before...

  8. Put them in the Cosmetic. Some mods like that will be denied though, to avoid the risk of copyright infringement. That's why my music replacement is not hosted here.

  11. @ well I've been doing things a bit differently. Instead of replacing the head of the original model, I added it so both heads can be surfed on and off via skin files. It worked fine here: No errors or anything. Worked great. But now I'm trying to help @@Jolly and running into that issue. The difference with this one is, the head_0 and parts are named the same as the original model, so I tried renaming to a new name, head_b, which I renamed the objects, object data, and Ghoul2 properties to those names. So opening in ModView shows those and it looks fine. Just gives that error, and I can't figure out why. Error: Pressing okay and going through the Surfaces to find it all working fine: I also get this error with some certain models: Most of these questions are mostly directed at @@mrwonko.
  12. For the record, I'm not going to be helping everyone personally. Once I get this all figured out I'll write a tutorial. I just made one and loaded it in Modview, but it gives an error: But the model loaded fine aside from that. All the right model pieces are there. I've gone through the hierarchy and everything looks fine. Any ideas, @ or @@mrwonko?
  13. A lot of it is just knowing what makes a certain texture look like that texture. Other times, people pull real images and work with that. Most of it though, is learning how to do specific things in Photoshop. Rather than looking for tutorials on how to make a realistic or detailed skin for JKA, you'll want to look up tutorials on how to make hair from scratch, for example. Or how to make leather from scratch. Then implement them all into your skin.

  15. Only the pieces you moved to the layer. So in your case it would probably be head_0.001 and other head/face related ones. One thing that helped keep things organized for me was to change the visible hierarchy to only the layer you're on: I also couldn't/didn't need to rename as much stuff as previously mentioned. All I had to rename was the parent. Everything else was fine and exported fine. Though I've only done capes so far. Maybe heads are different.

  18. The import tools work with the latest version, yeah. @@Tavik maybe if you post your own version of a tutorial like @ did we can get an even better idea. Particularly with screenshots, because the interface is pretty confusing.
  19. Right, Rosh uses the Stinger in both NPC's that he has. When he's training, and when he turned to the dark side. There should be two different sabers anyway, though he should have the mass produced reborn saber when he's on the dark side though.
  20. I believe Rosh uses a training saber in the first few levels of the game. Could give him that one. A training saber wouldn't have to be too basic. Maybe just simplify that design a bit or something.
