  1. How do you make it fair? Leave it as it is and 4:3 has the advantage. Fix it, and then widescreen has the advantage.

The idea is not to make it fair, but not to make it unfair for modern monitors.

There is cg_fovAspectAdjust cvar for that. And I've added it in MB2 v1.2 that is incoming soon.

I will try that when I get the chance, thanks. Is it OpenJK-exclusive?

  2. Has OpenJK done something about the fact that in JK, using a widescreen resolution crops vertical FOV instead of expanding horizontal FOV, giving people on 4:3 an advantage? I cannot check right now (all the ideas always come when I'm at work, I can't be bothered to think during my freetime) but I assume not. Is something going to be done? Would it work with mods like MB2?

Widescreen is especially bad for cutscenes.

  3. What trolling? I got banned for this post without even a chance to elaborate. I cannot check because myBB is a really bad forum software, but I believe the reason for my ban was something like "trolling, negativity", etc. There was absolutely no trolling in any of my posts and all the negativity is justified by the fact I'm speaking the truth. If you suck, don't cry when somebody points that out, especially when that somebody is willing to elaborate. I've been warned before for not breaking a single forum rule, so MB2 easily gets the trophy of having the worst forum moderators that I've seen. "I had a rough week and I don't want to continue this talk" was the excuse for my warning.

  4. So?

They need to make new content, and there's nothing bad about the things you mentioned. Well, Maul being alive maybe isn't the best idea and is pretty cheesy, as well as the powerful force users, but there's nothing wrong with the other things.

It absolutely is, because it derives from what the SW movie atmosphere and introduces childish and uninteresting non-Star Wars-ish shit.

  5. The problem with "fixing" the crosshair is that the crosshair would no longer be where your shot would end up. You would just have a thing that shows you where the centre of your screen is.

Can't it be done so that the camera is rotated to where the crosshair is, keeping it in the center? Right now when you move your mouse, your character turns along with the crosshair, but the camera lags behind. This shouldn't involve cases where the crosshair is slightly off due to certain objects in front of you.

And I really need this for JK2 as well. It would make the game that much more comfortable to play...
