Most intriguing, how big are the maps you're developing? They look huge!

This last place with crystal is huge but i wanted to make it like that ;) But now i know that i shouldnt overdo because the safe_malloc error will show or something (DAMN THIS ERROR!) . So i will make this first map - maybe i will send to You all as the demo version ;)

 

 

@@Langerd, what program are you using to make your maps?

Gtkradiant 1.5.0 - to level 

Blender - for player models and props (columns,toches,levers etc)

And ... Paint.Net... for textures which is below average program :/ .. But i for some reason find out that You can create some good stuff in it. I am not using the photoshop even if it is God Like program for this i .. dont like it :P (I should find a better way to make these textures though)

10/10 in every field. The level of detail within the maps and the awesome atmosphere is completely beyond words. Everything has the mystical mist behind it, the tension created by the shadering, is just perfect. Every model and effect seems like perfectly connected. Can't wait :)

I'm going to echo everyone else's sentiments and say that this looks fantastic. The settings look like believable encounters in mystical lands, and the characters, their weapons, and the different effects looks as if they're all pretty cohesive.

 

Someone else mentioned that you ought to try to sell this and I totally agree. Get the gameplay figured out and then try to get it greenlit on Steam.

 

EDIT: Actually, you probably couldn't because it looks like you've still got some of the JA assets, like at least some portions of the humanoid animations. Maybe you could ask for permission from Raven...

WATCH IN HD - The music is by band Les Friction - the song is called "Here comes the Reign" and this is Instrumental version.

This is my whole work lately... a full week of working. Still WIP. It is BETA in some way.
And of course we are fightning one Crystal Guard .. not two or three . But this is still scripts work.
And of course new screens! I made the map bigger. There are many places where You can go (i think) .
Also i made another variation of the acolyte. I am thinking about three or four.
Enjoy!

This is badass. I'd suggest you to put a lovely system/cushion under the player after he teleports, so he won't get fall damage, unless that's intended.

This is quite an accomplishment Last time there was a boss battle as good as this one in the jedi knight games was the boss fight against Galak Fyarr. Keep it up!

I'd recommend looking up some texturing tutorials for metal - your current metal textures are very messy and very beaten up

you will really have to handpaint the baked maps that guy is using, but once you've done that the process should be fairly simple

Wow I am noobish O.O Because i just use the most basic program and dont pay attention on new programs and methods.. I should start to learn them someday

The tutorial is very nice! But for these guys i wanted sharp, old even rusty armors. They dont look very good but i like them XD

Two new acolytes. I will hit the 5 variations (I also thinking about angels but i dunno)
The Plague mask one will use noghri stick weapon. I competely forgot this weapon :P (but not only that ! Sword weapon is also for him to use)

Damn.. It would be so nice if there would be a possibility to make npcs spawning randomly like jedi_random npc. But i believe it is hardcoded :( (I am not playing with codes for this modification sry..)

Even the randomized NPCs in singleplayer aren't actually randomized. The colors of their RGB parts of uniforms (you know, that one where you select the color of editable parts in character creation in SP) are the only randomized things. Other than that, spawning is set in stone. There is always jedi_kdm1 in that specific spot on Korriban, jedi_kdm2 in that specific spot on the second part of Korriban, etc.

You can just play around with jedi_random, and add your own list of NPCs. Tried that in the past, and it worked pretty well. Otherwise, if they're just different skins of one or few NPCs, you can set up a script that randomly chooses a skin, weapons and force powers.

I want to show You new player model and character :3 This is green angel Olivius
He is narcoleptic warrior , very powerful and wise. He is traveling alone because in some way he is shy person.

In this story (in my modification of course .. story here is based on my full story but in my mod we see only the Morin fate ) Olivius has been captured by Reders (Red angels and cultists- they want to rule that is why they take any oppurtinity to find atrifacts , scrolls and other ancient and powerful equipments) while he was sleeping.. He woke up in their prison, withou sword, in some way they weaken him and told him that he will work for them now. He is not strong in arms .. He is more Priest and he is more powerful in elements and powers.

They took him to this cave dungeon to look for a very powerful artifact - It allows traveling through all portals wherever portal You want to go. For them it would be very powerful tool but Morin (main character in this modification not whole story) want to find it too because his world is disconnected (he can go from world of the Lords (Lords are half-gods , guys in the armors , powerful force users etc.. too much story XD) and his world is in desperate state. He can go to their world through the portal but it is hard to get to it and in some way very far away.

Morin will meet Olivius and free him from Reders. In exchange for rescue and finding his sword Olivius will help us with some things.

His sword will be white-beige. He use his sword mostly for parry attacks and quick stabs.

I also changed look of the menu (cant make good screen :( sry )

Hello! Well i started something diffrent - dont be afraid.. not new map and modifaction XD

I started to make this whole places BUT outside. I was thinking about how this places should looks like. This sanctuary is hidden because it was created to hide the powerful atrifact. So it should be hard to find. And i came to this idea:

A very big area, ash and snow. The cold and hollow forgotten land. And of course - looking everywhwere the same. PERFECT place to hide something right? ;)

So i started to make it in the game. I used my older method to make everthing bigger. The effect is ... in my opinion very nice OvO. Still it is WIP and lightning looks crapy :S I still need to learn how to make shaders and lightning correctly- the same goes with the terrain. It is very hard in this game and take a too much time to do it. I hope You like the new idea ;)
