z3filus Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Tarkin was seen in the end of Episode 3. It's a brief moment but you can totally tell that that's Tarkin.https://youtu.be/K8J2l0XQG0g?t=1m14s
NumberWan Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 As crazy as it might be, but there are 2 more TV spots (how many are there now? Like ten?) Nothing truly special, as it can be just a recap of already known shots with some being longer than previously seen. For instance we a longer duel between Finn and stormtrooper in the ruins, and more interaction between characters, a few more shots from BB-98, as well as a longer scene with First Order Shuttle seen leaving the planet and going to the Star Destroyer. However one of the TV shots actually reveals the face of Maz Kanata! Yes, we already know her possible apperance, but here is a shot with her face. Also the film will have another alien pilot (Resistance seems to include lots of various humanoids at this stage unlike Rebel Alliance by the time of Episode IV), this time it's a Sullustan Resistance Pilot (possibly Nien Nunb). There is also a female pilot, seen in the comics of late - Jessika Pava. Source z3filus and Bek like this
DrXann Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 The TV spot shows two squadrons in hyperspace with most likely more ships following them or not(I hope there's more than just upgraded X-wing and Ties dukeing it out needs more variety) It shows Poe, some female Pilot, and Nien in cockpits and reporting in.
TheWhitePhoenix Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 @I also don't recall Darth Vader in Conservatoire in 2000s, and no Stormtroopers Exhibitions in Trade Centers. The line of toys was almost the same at the time, with Lego entering the stage with many-many sets, new action figures, miniatures and also the prequels made a way for Republic Commando, KOTOR and The Force Unleashed with Battlefromnt I and II. I think the reason is also with the development of the Social Media. It is amazing, what part this one plays in all the brands I know, be it Adidas, Nestle, Ikea or Star Trek. This new stuff allows you to write a message on Whoopie Goldberg's page and get a response, or "like" the picture from Meril Streep, or even learn where to meet one of the celebreties next week. These new oportinities, unavailable in early 2000s, contributed a lot to the fuss around Star Wars Episode VII. Personally I enjoy the trailers only, paying less attention to commercials on new Yoda burgers or Vader's Favourite Pepsi, with Kellogs delivering "cool stickers" with Finn, Rey and BB-8 to your breakfast. @They said Corellia would be in Episode VII. However I am sure Han refers to Falcon as his true home.It feels like WAYYYYYYYYY too much hype and will burn people out. Moderation is THE KEY.
NumberWan Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 This IS JUST CRAZY!!!!!!1 This is the actual video scene from the movie! Not a trailer or TV Spot! https://youtu.be/SSjkUzlHxK4 Also there is this TV spot here I ring this shot interesting. Bek likes this
DrXann Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I wonder if they are all actors during the rally or are they extras rendered with copy and paste CGI.
TheWhitePhoenix Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I'm sorry, but I didn't get *ANY* sort of thrill from that scene.... Nothing WHATSOEVER.
NumberWan Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 There is a new Captain Phasma picture published by the Empire magazine. I guess someone will make a good desktop picture some time later, when a better resolution is available. With many theories regarding the plot, I am sticking more and more to the fact, that Kylo Ren is most likely not one of the Skywalkers, but is still related to them - being the first Jedi after Luke. Probably even his former student, who was the first to learn of all Luke knew of the Force and of the Jedi from Yoda and Obi Wan. However his knowledge wasn't enough to make Kylo follow the Jedi path. For some reasons (perhaps with the influence from Snoke) he turned to the Dark Side, joining the Knights of Ren. Some time later he would return to eliminate the Jedi with other knights, destroying what was established by Luke. It is possible, that Luke might have left his Order before that, remaining in hiding. Or perhaps the destruction of what he created as a Jedi Order, was the reason, why Luke decided to leave the known Galaxy. Who are they, the knights of Ren?

NumberWan Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 According to the SWU, there is a list of soundtrack of Episode VII. Some titles remind of certain rumors, heard previously. If we take into account, that sometimes the soundtrack is played the way it can be heard in the movie. Usually the main theme is #2 (like Duel of the Fates or Across the stars), but sometimes they follow one after another in the way, as events are shown. Here is a list of music, which gives some info on how the story can develop. 1. Main Title and the Attack on the Jakku Village 2. The Scavenger 3. I Can Fly Anything Probably when Finn steals a new TIE to leave First Order 4. Rey Meets BB-8 5. Follow Me 6. Rey’s Theme 7. The Falcon Possibly the most nostalgic moment, when the ship is shown for the first time 8. That Girl with the Staff 9. The Rathtars! Some enemies? 10. Finn’s Confession 11. Maz’s Counsel 12. The Starkiller The base with all the troopers standing 13. Kylo Ren Arrives at the Battle 14. The Abduction A certain character is taken away by evil guys and not seen until Episode VIII? 15. Han and Leia 16. March of the Resistance 17. Snoke Possibly the only scene, when we see Snoke? But he might be heard at earlier stage in the film? 18. On the Inside 19. Torn Apart 20. The Ways of the Force 21. Scherzo for X-Wings 22. Farewell and the Trip Can't think of anything here, but the ending of Episode V scene 23. The Jedi Steps and Finale The first time Luke Skywalker is seen in the film?
DrXann Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 There's no duel music when the Finn and Rey fight Ren toward the end? or is that an arrangement in one of the tracks.I bet you nearly half of these are either new or remixed versions of all six saga movie tracks. The third one from the bottom sounds like a or is going to sound like Battle of Yavin piece. We have space battles but is there more than two upgraded starfighter classes fighting. There isn't not much of a movie than have the two iconic original trilogy starfighters having dogfights.I means its cool and all but where are the Y-wings, B-Wings, and A-wings not to mention the New Republic/Alliance Fleet. Its been 30 years so they must have some of their ships.
NumberWan Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 @@DrXann They keep a lot as a secret. A Lego set, mentioned earlier, was leaked into Internet, where we can clearly see another starfighter, which can be a successor to the B-Wing in th OT. Many aliens, places and weapons are also yet to be seen only in the movies, even the TV spots haven't and won't show us these. Many Resistance and Republic characters are also unseen, including some from the main heroes (aside from Luke Skywalker). The sets have been finally revealed. Also Battle of Takadana, showing Kylo Ren without his helmet! I think the soundtrack list is incomplete. I remember, when I found Episode III soundtrack, it included only the most popular tracks, but not all. Episoed I also omited some music, which I enjoy (I call it the capture of the Queen, when we see Amidala escorted by droids with her handmaidens and troops to the Prison Camp and are rescued suddenly by the Jedi; this music plays in The Phantom Menace video game, when Obi Wan enters the old lady house and soon droids attack). So Episode VII has a basic soundtrack CD perhaps for now. A Complete OST would be released by Summer or later. And some more versions a few years later. Fans will surely rip off all the music from Episode VII much earlier. As we nown have a map of the Galaxy with new planets, interestingly some new location is where Ilum was originally... According to some, Ilum was conquered by the Empire after Order 66. And wasn't abandoned that much after battle of Endor. So Starkiller base is... built there? Perhaps of a presence of a larger Kyber crystall? http://twitter.com/ThePeteAwakens/status/669938892976467968/photo/1 Update: Found some more info on characters. Supposedly this is a character played by Max Von Sydow, as stated earlier. We know, that he was referred as the Vicar by the production team, but aside from his name we now also know, that he is an Elder of one of the villages on Jakku. Early skecthes show him with many prosthetics as a cyborg. And here major spoilers from his appearance in the film. It also reveals more about others. And we also know the name of the planet, where Resistance has the base of their own. UPDATED Confirmed: -Max von Sydow is Lor San Tekka as we reported some time ago. -Lor San Tekka and Poe meet on Jakku at night. -The First Order breaks the stillness of the night. -They put Lor’s message inside BB-8 and send him off into the night. -Maz is apparently Han’s old mentor. Post-Return of the Jedi or as far back as the anthology film? He hopes she can help them with their mission to return BB-8 to the Resistance. -Finn wants to rescue Rey before the Resistance destroys the base. -A spy on Takodana tells the First Order the heroes are there. Phasma readies a surprise attack on the castle. -During the battle of Takodana, Leia’s X-wing Squadrons save the day. -Rey and BB-8 are captured on Takodana. -D’Qar is the planet the Resistance is stationed on. Han, Finn, and Chewie crash the Falcon into the Starkiller base. There was also this: Source Oh, there is a shot of a space battle by the way.

NumberWan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 There e is now a whole bunch of various ads, mostly on aside brands, which feature something from Star Wars. I found this Jeep commercial. I wonder, if such a battle would be seen in the film itself, because the trailers showed the snow battle for the most part and the attack on the fortress. In this video we can also see, that Poe's X-Wing can have BB-8 only. No place for R2 units in the star fighter. Does it mean, that his ship is modified and not just painted black and orange? Do other pilots use droids similar to BB-8 or rely on good old astromech droids?
Kualan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 New Force For Change video featuring Mark Hamill. He's really looking great these days, can't wait to see him over the course of the sequel trilogy: NumberWan and z3filus like this
NumberWan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 He looks nice in this uniform. =) Not too unusual for him though. The Time magazine is making another issue for Star Wars on Dec.14. I have a few issues from earlier years, which had an interesting article about Star Wars as a whole and also good infographics on how the things are connected in Star Wars. It was some other magazine that established Amidala as the mother of Luke and Leia some time in 1999 or 2000. The Time also published a list of all its issues, which featured something from Star Wars here Another thing: there is also a list of some comics/novels to be released soon, linked with TFA. And one features something of count Dooku and a background character in TFA (pretty large cover). Bek likes this
DrXann Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 In one of the TV spot trailers outside of Poe's Fighter there's indeed in fact a space battle happening.

I resized the cover for forum use; direct link below http://s4.postimg.org/dyxsku94t/starwars7journeydooku121treasure.jpg I don't know how to react to this, can we assume that Dooku found something interesting enough from the Jedi Archives or from a stranger,to ready his ship and follow up the leads to this "treasure", and either wrote about it or spoke of it afterwards, insipiring a treasure hunt.. a part of methinks this is just like a Chip'n'Dale RescueRangers episode, but, part of me thinks this could be interesting to read. Is this a novel or a comic ??

Is this a novel or a comic ?? It's a short story e-book. If anyone really wants to know what the 'lost treasure' is, I've been told that it's (major spoiler for the e-book, though almost certainly not for TFA itself): Kix, the 501st clone medic from the Clone Wars TV show. Freed from some kind of stasis, apparently. Not read the e-book myself.
NumberWan Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 @@Kualan That's not that interesting if you ask me. When the first rumours on Episode VII began to appear, there was a rumour, that someone quite wealthy with interest in historical relics would appear in TFA. It was known, that this person could be as powerful as count Dooku, could be even his relative from Serenno or at least knew about him being a good historian and a passionate collactor of peculiar things (like Tyranus' lightsaber hilt). Now, I guess, it would be legitimate only, that even 50 years after the Clone Wars some things would of use to certain characters, such as Imperial nobility or sophisticated scientists in the New Republic. They might have all the data about the cloning, the blasters and droids of the past. Aside from other things. Notably the main character of Rey was confirmed to be far from such knowledge. Spending so much time in the desert woudln't helphew learn great galactic stories except for some, told by someone old and wise. I talked to a friend today and he said, that some time ago J.J.Abrams tweeted, that a month ago the movie was almost ready, when Disney said "Hey! That musn't be in the movie!", so he had to remove some things from Episode VII. I searched the information and it claimed, that it is not that at all - actually Disney reacted good, nothing was changed, and it was J.J. who joked, that the people from Disney were simply nice. George Lucas watched Episode VII a few days ago and enjoyed it. Spielberg aparently watched the film 3 times already!

NumberWan Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 There is a Behind the scenes video about Rey. It shows some things, previously not seen in other videos. Specifically the way Rey fights the enemies (a longer episode). But I am far more interested in the scene, where Rey tries to wear something very familiar. I wonder if this one could be treated as a hint towards Rey's personality. (see 0:20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrHT6X7Zykc Bek likes this
