Does JKHub have an IRC Channel for chatting?

Nah. The way I look at it is, if we had something like that, it would discourage the use of the forum and hinder activity.

There is an IRC channel, it's located at irc.arloria.net / #jkhub. It is not official however.

We do have an IRC channel as @@eezstreet said and I don't see why it'd drive away use of the site, IRC is different than websites.

The channel has been there since September 14th 2012, and it's not driven people away from talking on the forums. People mainly have it idle in the background as is typical for IRC.

 

Haven't seen anyone actually talking on the channel recently, even though there's 7 users idling

Why not use jacoders for coding \ script chatting things and a jkhub chan for general chat \ modding? i post also in other forum, not only that. with my italian community i have 80% of utents into chats, too, but that not descourage by posting in forum.

otherwise, if all goes to the jkhub and talk every one at the same time... it's a mandess. lol. how many hundred people are here?

Well, #jkhub is still there, just not many people go on it for whatever reason. If we advertised it as a "live chat" thing then I bet people would flock to it. Again though, not an official channel. If people want to put links and stuff to the web client in their sigs, that might be a great motivator.
