Yeh they have a lot of nice Clone Wars models! :D

I don't mean to sound mean or anything but why not follow MiniLogoGuy18's tutorial on how to rig and put custom characters into the game?  You'd learn something in the process and then you can pretty much do it with any character you make.  I'm a 3DS Max user myself but I find XSI much easier to use when it comes to rigging and weighting things.

Yes CaptainCrazy, still missing some good models like obi wan v2  or kit fisto, but at  least there is a source.

to be honest i also tried with that tutorial but, both my skills on 3d  programs  and my knowledge for modeling are very low, im skilled in  modify textures but this is my first time in add a complete model in game plus  there are few tutorials in  my native lenguaje (spanish) to learn well all of this making this even harder for me.

hope you can help me with this if you have spare time. :)

Weighted and segmented. Not perfect, but maybe good enough. As I've said, I don't really have time or motivation to dig really deep into it (never heard of or seen this guy, and no one on JKhub made him :P)

Haven't exported xsi yet, due to an error with the 64-bit exporter (edit: no error, my fault), so I'll let you try to do the rest of the process with tutorials. Remember, I've already spent many hours writing a tutorial for this. So give it a try :) What remains is converting it to .glm or fixing compiler errors, and packing it together in a pk3 with the textures + .skin files referring the body parts to the right textures. Caps not included.

My tutorial really isn't aimed at someone who has never opened the program either, you're going to have to learn the basic navigation and controls of the program or ANY program before diving into modding.

Learn to walk before you try to run.

Sorry to be a corrector, but I believe Neomarz' Plo Koon VM is the only Plo we have.

The statement about "nobody on JKHub has made him." Isn't NeoMarz a part of JKHub's community?

Yes, just not active anymore. He registered to upload his mods, and that's about it.

Ah. What I meant was that nobody on JKHub made this particular model, which was grabbed from some 3D site, uploaded by "3dregenerator".

Anyway.

The reason it looks like an unborn Godzilla as likely because of weight issues. It's overweight. Sorry, had to. It might be simply caused by something as silly as not resetting the seemingly fine Xform before weighting. I'm having a bit trouble compiling it myself to test, because of the "File contains 'Cubic' scale keys error". Never had that before, and it might be because I used the project file you sent, as it seems to be related to regional and keyboard settings.

@@Psyk0Sith - Tried exporting .xsi and compiling with regional settings set to English - US, and the keyboard settings as well as dot instead of comma, etc. Would you mind giving the compile a try with any of these? Max2011 project, Max2014 project

I'll have a look at it today but you didn't send me the models textures and I was ill all day yesterday so hey maybe somebody already did it for you :winkthumb:

The textures are in the earlier post with the dropbox link to the rigged one. I forgot to do the hierarchy in that one, but the max files I just posted are ready for export. I'm still stuck with the Cubic scale keys error.

@@Boothand I'm on max 2010 unfortunately...make sure you uncheck the animation box (on the left column) i think that caused cubic scale for me when i mistakenly left it ticked...other than that i'm not sure what the real problem is, regional settings seems to work for some people but not everyone. Maybe ask someone with max 2011 or recent version to compile it for you?

Also there's another Plo Koon that was made for JK2 i believe, modeled by Mr. Punch and textured by Kman, it's probably floating around cyberspace but no idea where. I have it on my hard drive, the JK3 version. Grab it here

I was thinking since Psyk0Sith posted the model that already existed of Plo Koon, I/we wouldn't have to deal with this one (someone confirm this?). In any case, I can't save as any earlier than 2011, with my Max 2014.
