Tempust85
The backgrounds I stole from DF2, except for the main menu which I made. Circa likes this Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Did you only make a 4:3 ratio menu? What about widescreen? Most people are probably going to be running widescreen now a days, surprised there is still support for 4:3. Link to comment

Tempust85
Everything is made in 4:3. I had a look and it stretches everything. I may make a widescreen patch, but not until everything else is finished. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
IMO these days it should just be made in widescreen and ditch 4:3 altogether, who the F is still using a square monitor these days anyway? That's like saying cassette tapes are still relevant. Circa likes this Link to comment
Tempust85
Would be great if OpenJK supported 1920x1080 & 1280x720 using new r_mode's rather than having to use r_mode -1 + r_customwidth + r_customheight. Link to comment

GPChannel
The menu is perfect,BUT i think create a new cursor, because this lighsaber is Kyle's JK:JO hilt.Create Kyle's old DF2 saber hilt.I think..... (Sry for my English) hhunter6 likes this Link to comment

katanamaru
Really nicely done! Ah the memories... 1998 was a fun year in gaming for me. I know JK came out in 97, but I got to play it in 98. Stoiss likes this Link to comment

hhunter6
Looks awesome!! just wondering is there a way to convert the saber hilt to the df2 hilt? I think that would look pretty sweet instead of the JO hilt. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Of course, it's a simple image file, he's already planning on changing it I believe. Link to comment
Trank
Wow man, great work on the main menu. I think keeping in faithful to how the old one looks is the best idea but making it look better. Which you have cleary done so far. Great work. Tempust85 likes this Link to comment
Tempust85
I'm wanting to redo all the backgrounds at some stage. If someone here at the Hub would like to try their hand in the recreations, by all means. Link to comment
DarthPhae
Had a few ideas how the menu could look so I made this concept. Thought that green lightsaber looked good in the orange menu so I threw in some more green. I think it looks good, but I might of over did it. Also as you can see I traced the drawing of Kyle from the new game menu and placed it in the main menu. That sketch was always my favorite part of the original DF2 menu. Perhaps it would be cool to create a new original sketch for the main menu using the same kind of style. Maybe Kyle and Jerrec fight along the rocks with the Crow flying overhead. Or, something like that. Anyways had these ideas just running around in my head so just thought I'd share them. Love what you all are doing with this mod and wish you guys the best of luck. Stoiss
Really nice you should get it to look like this DT Link to comment
Trank
That does look nice, but the one DT is doing fits more. Too much green in my opinion. But that is awesome nonetheless. Link to comment

I'm liking this but it is a bit too much green. Maybe a different menu button background color? Link to comment
Archangel35757
Rather then green rectangles... try making menu text letters glow with green border. Link to comment
minilogoguy18
Yeah, that would be much nicer, only the selected one at that. Archangel35757 likes this Link to comment
