Since there's a weekly question about this and it's answered in discord, this is the latest build provided by raz0r. I will host it on my GDrive so if it errors ping me.

If it doesn't work ping me.
Thanks for this!

So, I'm somewhat involved with the reddit Mount and Blade community, and the guys there have a monthly (or bi-monthly) online event called Calradic Campaign. The gist of it is that each month or two, the event's moderators launch a series of online battles that are supposed to emulate the conquest of a region in the game-world. The event is story driven, which is arguably it's biggest appeal.
I figured the community here could do something similar, since we've actually got a ton of maps and models and skins. It might attract new members if advertised properly, or at least make the current members more engaged. I mean, many people on here already play JAMP, so it kinda makes sense.
We just need to set up the ground rules, stuff like what period the campaign will taking place in, what sides will be involved, what the rules of engagement are (in Calradic Campaing, each battle follows a 'best out of 3' principle). For example, in MnB there are 'field' battles, and 'castle' battles. Field battles are pretty much like team deathmatch whereas castle battles are sieges. For a similar event in JAMP we could go with space battles then ground battles, or several ground battles in a row, since flying vehicles kinda suck in the engine. Maybe even sieges could work, since 'siege' is literally a game mode in multiplayer (though we could emulate a siege in TFFA).
Discuss.
I've been wanting to get back into this game for years now, it's one of my favorite games of all time. The sad truth is there have been many attempts at a Community Revival and they have all ended in failure because nobody is interested in playing a game that was released in 2003 when they have other options. Most of my friends with whom I enjoyed many hundreds of hours playing this game with have moved on and no longer care about it, forcing me to reluctantly move on as well because everyone knows there is nothing more boring than playing a multiplayer game alone.

I use this mod for MP (don't think it works for SP)

Kyle Katarn without a doubt.

Oh for the luva... someone lock this thread already. The next post is probably going to be about the unreleased season of The Clone Wa…. whoops, not supposed to talk about that, but you get the point.

Welcome to the JKHub.

To be honest I was actually surprised Lucasfilm was open to the possibility of working with Frontwire to get a license but not surprised EA said no.

Idk. I'm really just parroting what's been said on other sites.
There may be bits of information regarding/relating to the shut down of PCGameMods somewhere in the archive. What little I know of PCGameMods comes from the archive.
Even if somebody manages to contact this Sergio guy its unlikely he actually kept backups of the site/files at this day and age and of course there's always the ethical dilemma regarding the files if he did keep a backup.

I heard PCGameMods shut down because the owner received some nasty emails in his inbox (apparently nasty enough for him to shut down PCGM).

not many people are doing mapping, because assumably they think its too hard, i'm just starting to learn mapping and listening to the mapping tutorials from the legendary Rich Diesal: https://jkhub.org/mapping/richdiesal/richdiesal.htm
Depends on who you ask, for some it may be they just lack the time to learn all the skills and techniques to make even a small map. I mean GTKRadiant doesn't exactly make anything you do in it to be easy especially with all the bugs you're going to encounter. We just need a new, better mapping editor.

It's a bit bright for me and I'm not exactly sure if the background works in this case, but it's a good place to start.

I personally have no problem accessing the direct link to the JK3Files mirror, but that's just me. But adding it wouldn't hurt either

Please stop digging up the past, @@KyleKatarn1995. It hurts...
Let's remember IB for who he was (and the work he did for this community), but let's put the past behind and look forward.
I hope nobody takes this the wrong way but we're always looking forward and yet I feel like we've completely forgotten our past. People like HapSlash and Infinity Blade not to mention a few hundred others who've moved on or quit the modding game all together are the ones who made games like Jedi Academy great and helped establish our future.
Without them we most likely wouldn't be where we are today. If we forget that then everyday after that is worth nothing. Let's take a moment to honor their memory and let's move forward together...

I feel like this whole game needs redesigned. I mean we've got most of the materials already to do so, but I kinda feel like Raven rushed it a bit. Aside from the sabers, force, and characters the game doesn't have that much star wars feel to it.

It's correct on the forum thread- the deadline is May 25th, 2016.
Alright I see that. But it still says March 1st, 2016 on the news article. Should I ignore that or be concerned about it? Anyways looking forward to this.

March 1st, 2016?

I believe JA++ (or was it OpenJK's uix86.dll?) has a practically unlimited amount. The limit is not related to the engine but the UI portion of the modcode.
Will this be fixed in a future JA++ release? I mean, to show all the Player Models and such in the model list both on the main menu and in-game.
-
I vote on that as well. We do need a converter based program or something similar, that is able to convert a Jedi Academy character into a playable Jedi Outcast character. And the same back ways: from JKO character into JKA character!
Do we really need a Jedi Outcast to Jedi Academy model converter? As most Outcast models are already backwards compatible with Jedi Academy.
Though I agree we need a Jedi Academy to Jedi Outcast converter.

The only forums (that I'm aware of) where people can delete their posts is in the JKA Modding Requests and Suggestions and JKA WIP forums. If the option to delete the topic exists in other forums, then it's a bug.
Circa already explained why we're against having people delete their posts and topics and your counterpoint makes no sense. Staff need to maintain as good oversight of posting as possible, but naturally going through 300+ posts a day is difficult.
In the future I think we are ditching the option for users to delete their own posts and only providing the option to hide them.
Does this go for individual posts or threads? or both?

Is there any way to display all the player models instead of cutting off at a certain point?

This was an april fools joke. Don't download it it's not the real thing, man was I pissed
But you got me, ha!

I seem to have this problem too
@@the_raven are you referring to the same map? Or an entirely different map?
With that map? Can I get a direct link to it?
No need, I fixed this problem ages ago. It had nothing to do with OpenJK or JA++. Though I'm not exactly sure how or why it occurred (I believe it was a result of conflicting/corrupted textures that the map uses), it just did.
A possible way to breathe new life into the community, or to just have fun with the existing members

I'm surprised to hear that, as I've been out of the game since 2017. I was a heavy mod collector back in the day, and I miss those days more than anything. Maybe I'll stick around this time
