I really enjoy using JA++ but there are some problems with it:
I've noticed that when anyone uses the amghost command (whether it to ghost yourself into it or be visible again) the admin messages/strings are opposite of each other. (Ex. You enter amghost (you're invisible) and the printed message tells you everyone can see you. The same thing happens when you become visible, the message tells you that you can't be seen.)
What's with the weird underline in the chat when a link/url is posted? It doesn't even underline the whole url it's like in the middle of the message. (Ex. When using the AutoMessage plugin to display a message saying something along the lines of "visit us online @ http://thissite.org" instead, the message comes out looking like: "visit us online @ http://thissite.org")
There is an issue with the admin strings. When a command is executed (i.e. ammerc) the message appears as normal but all the other admins see the messages too. I've read that this issue has been marked as fix, but it's clearly still an issue.
I've noticed an unusual amount of 1-hit kill bugs in saber combat. Is there any way to fix this?
I'm not sure if this is an issue or not but the MoTD (Message of the Day) displays to everyone including spectators at the same time instead of appearing to the player when they enter the game.
Finally, I can't seem to get players to instantly join the game. Players automatically are spectators upon connecting. Any way to get them to instantly join the game?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I fixed this issue by installing the latest OpenJK Version November 9th, 2015.

I have this same issue and I deleted all residual DLL files so I'm not sure what's conflicting. Both OpenJK and JA++ have been updated to the latest versions.

Welcome to JKHub @@Metatronicks I must assume you used Google Translate and that you do not speak english?

How about DARTH MAUL from seasons 4 and 5 that would be great don't you think?
I think there are too many Darth Maul skins out there as it is, a new one would be great though.

Stupid question: Can anyone make a contest or does it have to be JKHub-Official to really count?
Either way I never heard of a show called reboot, which is why this thread interests me.

I played it, this game ran on an 8 year old computer. Only thing is I happened to upgrade from 4gb to 8gb a few years ago. It is incredibly optimized and no one should have 4GB of RAM anymore, even having a really old PC isn't an excuse.
Agreed. Especially if you're using your PC for gaming.
@@Circa @@MaceMadunusus You seem to forget not everyone here is rich, has a job, or comfortable enough to not have to worry about where your next meal is coming from. I come from a family who barely affords the necessities like food. If you go around making a standard like that you're bound to piss a lot of people off, including myself.
My Computer is far older than either of yours and is bound to die any day now and I by no means have money to replace it. I have maxed out the RAM at 2 GB and the best video card I could afford for it was the Nvidia Geforce 5200 FX. See my computer specs here.

I believe a port of this was done by Lt.Claim, not positive on that though.

Look at the RAM requirement. A 32 bit OS restricts you to using 4GB of RAM, and this game requires 6GB. That would be why.
Not saying I agree with that though, as 6GB RAM is a lot and seems unnecessarily high tbh.
I did not know that, thanks @@eezstreet.
But seriously, DICE/EA pretty much killed the game for me with their ludicrous requirements and their battlefield-like gameplay.
-
Windows 64-Bit? Really? Since when in the hell is a game restricted to 64-bit?
The requirements for this game is ludicrous. Not everyone can afford a fucking $1100 computer.

An HTML5 Template should provide the core of what you want, that's how I designed/created the Skycast Gaming website (Most of what is created there was created using the actual template, but you get where I am going at)
HTML5Up.net provides some good templates, perhaps they can give you the html skeleton/blueprints you want.

Before doing anything rash: test if it works in jamp.exe

So what do I do with this? Has this fix already been applied or do I need to compile OpenJK myself?

Looks nice but could use some work.

Whenever I attempt to run Springfield v2 in the OpenJK Dedicated Server, it crashes with a "MAX_PATCH_PLANES" error. I am currently using the August 12 Windows Build as I am unable to use the latest openjk version as it crashes on startup.
Any way to fix this error and play the map?

Ask to JKHUB staff if it possible to put it on JKHUB.
They try to contact the author, and if there is no response after 1 month, they release it.
I don't think I can as there is no email to contact the author with, I'll try to locate one from his other PCGameMod releases via the Internet Wayback Machine but as it stands there isn't a way to contact the author (that I know of).
The readme wasn't even included with the .pk3 I found, I had to create one based on information from the PCGameMods release page via the wonderful Internet Wayback Machine.

Maybe, the same for me.
I had in time an old map called "Zag VasParty Map", it was fantastic, like a city with sewers etc... But I never found it again...
@@RJA I think I have that map somewhere, If you'd like I can send it to you once I locate it.
Edit: I think I found it, Is the one you're looking for called *VaS* Party Map by zag? There doesn't appear to be a levelshot though which I find very annoying.
I've uploaded it to my Google Drive, so feel free to pm me if you still want it.

Some of the Staff & Members at The Sci-Fi Network will be sharing their experiences on the Star Wars Battlefront Beta once it comes out in early October. One of them has even offered to Livestream the game. With their permission, I'll probably share those with you guys.
Speaking of which, who here plans to sign-up for the beta in October?

It's clear to me that the modding community it NOT dead and most likely will never will be (despite it shrinking in numbers every year, remember we see new people entering the modding community almost monthly), I feel we should focus equally on getting more people into the game as well.
There are far too many awesome mods out there and more coming in by the minute, and again, not enough players.

I'm guessing my computer (blaming my video card) won't support Battlefront. I might play in the future if/when I upgrade hardware.

JA++ Updates
in JA++
JA++ hasn't had a minimise command since 2013, you must have had an extremely old build, missing out on a lot of stuff ;o
The only reason I was using an older build of the client was because I was unable to get the newer ones to work. Should've used OpenJK from the beginning...
Also I am currently using the latest build and the "minimize" command still works

I thought the command was "minimize"?
Quite right you are @@Circa, however in the older versions of the JA++ Client "mini" was used to minimize the game. Anyways it worked and I can live with typing out the full word.

Are you using OpenJK?
Okay, it's working now. Once I installed OpenJK it loaded without problems
Edit: The command "mini" isn't working, how do I minimize jka?
