  1. Great, all we'd need to do is get the right placement... but wouldn't the font be too big? Can we scale it? I just put an arbitrary number, but left 0 in the alive part since, well, you're supposed to kill people in multiplayer - heh.
  2. Seems a bit complicated for my tastes, I'd rather the player just have to stick it in their base and go... but we'll see. Again, I'm leaving that up to eezstreet.
  3. @@Darth Futuza, I can't tell if you're being clever or have a possibly great idea for a script for this mod. I wonder how hard it would be to script it to show the player name in MP? @@eezstreet? EDIT: So the scanner is DEAD CENTER based on the accuracy of testing different gun shots in-game as well as it being dead center in my 1024x1024 document... and guess what? Point at one spot on the screen in-game and cycle through your weapons. Look what happens to the crosshair.
  4. I thought the best way to go was to stay true to SW:BH, so I'll show you guys the two versions I made, I used a generic Star Wars name because I feel that's the best way to go: These were made in Photoshop, so those are not in-game pictures. I just used a screenshot as the background to help nail down the right transparencies.
  5. Wow, I never thought I would see the day.
  6. I was thinking like go outside and get some fresh air, but yeah, you could learn to map too.
  7. I couldn't figure out a way to replace the crosshair graphic and make it full screen. It kept resizing it down. Also the fact that the crosshair doesn't stay in the center of the screen when turning, and on NPC's but you seem to have found a fix for that. @@eezstreet is the one writing up the code for this so I'll direct him to this. As far as them lining up I'm aware and have fixed the issue, I just put that on the backburner until I got the transparencies right for everything.
  8. Their job is not to make you happy. Your shouldn't be putting so much of your time and energy into waiting for someone else to finish their work, there's more productive things to do with your time.
  9. Are you serious? Better idea, we leave him be. He has a life, he has things to do other than mapping. Shocking, I know. What part of that did you not get?
  10. So basically what you're saying is it hasn't been touched in ages and the author has given up working on it completely.
  11. The current JK3fIles? Hell friggin' no I don't.
  12. The last post in that thread was you almost a year ago... are you sure it's "almost finished"?
  13. I'm looking forward to this as well. If only we had a good Jango model too... Or even just a generic Mando model in the style of Jango's armor. Maybe one day there'll be a model but the current Boba is quite nice, so that's a big step up from the standard JA stuff.
  14. Of course it's obviously a different story when you're already paying for online play on another console. I just meant that people who own a PS3 and don't own an Xbox 360 (or own a 360 but don't play online with it) to me it's a no brainer to get Playstation Plus. If you own both consoles and you're already paying for 360 then that's a financial issue, sure. But if you own both you'll probably end up using XBL (If you have to choose between XBL and PS+) since that seems to cater more to the hardcore online gamers of CoD, Battlefield and the like anyways. Depends on what your friends have for a console too.
  15. I'm not saying it is an issue in itself, just saying it's still beating Microsoft in that regard and they know it, which is why they said they're giving 2 free games a month with XBL - to compete with Sony. You do get more games though with Sony and it is cheaper so... Yeah. *shrugs*
  16. He tends to have that effect on people.
  17. Oh, I see - that's not much of a bother at all. Personally I think that's not necessarily a good idea, but people shouldn't be complaining about it. If you have a PS3 and you don't have Playstation Plus, you're stupid. Honestly it's a fantastic deal, and since December I've gotten like 15 games off there I was interested in. Full titles like Ratchet and Clank, InFAMOUS 2 and more. I can appreciate the annoyance of having to pay in order to play online obviously, but in the case of Playstation it's a very small price to pay. It's cheaper than what Microsoft charges you for online play, and you get a lot more games to choose from. Plus discounts on tons of games as well, exclusive game downloads (Right now I think it's just a bunch of God of War titles) and you can also get themes and avatars off their too.
  18. I should say the parts of the armor that Inyri spoke about is what I was referring to. They shouldn't be as shiny as the current shader.
  19. Well, I think I have the final version of it. All the graphics are finished and have the proper transparency tweaks and such. Now we just need to find a way to implement it into the game. At this point I had removed the base JA HUD panels to reduce clutter, and replace the one on the left with the Bounty Hunter Scanner graphic. I'm currently trying to figure out how to implement it as more than just an overlay/underlay to the normal HUD. We'll see what happens! Here it is in medium light and bright light scenarios. Pretty close to the reference I think.
  20. I saved it as a .png and everything just showed up solid in-game. EDIT: Fixed it, you are a god among men. Thank you!
  21. I haven't really followed this thread, saw some early pics and thought it was kind of interesting. These recent pics are spectacular though, I was pleasantly surprised. Great work man! EDIT: I think the green needs to be slightly less faded, but as you said it changes in different lighting so as long as that's as bright as it gets I'd be happy. Also tone down the shader, his armor shouldn't be THAT shiny, just a bit shiny. Look at some clips from the movie if you can for reference.
  22. I don't remember having this conversation...? But they are simple, when you're just setting transparencies. Unfortunately in this case I'm also trying to tint the screen the same color as in the reference, which probably wasn't done the way I'm doing it.
  23. Ah, I thought you were trying to say Sony got owned.
  24. For my bounty hunter scanner HUD mod I'm trying different transparencies etc. to get the desired results, but I was wondering if you c an stack Alpha Channels? Basically, I have lots of lines and then the rest of the open area of my graphic has green tinted scan lines all over it. Every time I want to try a new transparency for the scan line areas it means I have to undo all the previous paint bucketing for those areas in order to not continuously erode away those lines making them thinner each time. I suppose I could save one prior to coloring those areas and try again but it's a massive pain. I tried having the Alpha Channel of the lines on one layer, then a second one under it with the desired transparency of the scan line areas but it just came up solid in-game.
  25. Allow me to chronicle my troubles with Alpha Channels. Right now I'm trying to figure out the right combination of color and Alpha Channels to get the areas with scan lines to be faded enough to not give you a headache, but to still tint the screen green enough to look like the reference shots. UGH. Clearly there are some trouble areas, but this is just experimenting to find the right combination as I said before. Once I find that then I'll recreate the Alpha Channel from scratch to get rid of the problem area, most notably the circles in the last few shots shot. For those curious I've achieved this by replacing gfx/hud/hudleft with my graphic of the scanner. I then created a blank 2x2 image with a completely transparent Alpha Channel and used that to replace the same graphic on the right side. Figured it would be a nice temporary fix to the clutter and business of the screen. Did I mention I hate Alpha Channels? It's far from done, but it's still progress...
