  1. Very cool, bummer about no new sounds but still, nice work.
  2. Whoa, who let tiny arms in this thread?
  3. Can we look forward to a way around this in the future perhaps?
  4. Interesting, that''ll be a bit of a pain when it comes time to package it up, but oh well. Thanks for your help.
  5. So you're saying Radiant is using folders and assets that are not from JA, and the only ones that show up in Radiant are the textures that are shared between the two games?
  6. I'm assuming you're using Photoshop to create the textures? Anyways, instead of the eraser you could just lower the opacity of that layer to make them look faded and a bit more realistic.
  7. Star Wars Family Guy was friggin' hilarious, I thought.
  8. I tried to import some base JA map objects into Radiant, some show up with textures and some don't. Any ideas? For example, I can't get the skiff (map_objects/ships) to import with textures, nor can I get the dualpod (map_objects/nar_shadaa) to show with textures either. I made sure that in my base folder I have the full assets folders of textures, models, and shaders for Radiant to work with.
  9. This is exactly what I've been doing, as far as I know. Perhaps I just need to work on it.
  10. @@MoonDog What are you using as brushes to start with? Just starting with a straight rectangular block of whatever length, cutting the edges (in order to round them and make it an 8-sided brush) and then just use the vertices tool? And how many brushes is something like the one above, 15-20? And while we're at it, how do you make the grid display smaller units/increments? It's been so long since I've mapped.
  11. I'm trying to figure out how to make small wires and pipes that bend around and such in Radiant, problem is you can easily make a cylinder and bend it but they have to be a certain thickness or else they just don't work. Any ideas?
  12. NES was dope. I only got rid of mine last year, still worked perfectly.
  13. So uhhh, this happened. Thoughts? "Saving map to C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/Base/maps/slave1hangarNo brushes selected. Map_SaveFile: C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/Base/maps/slave1hangarNo brushes selected. ERROR: couldn't open C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/Base/maps/slave1hangarNo brushes selected. for write" Also the Slave 1 model works great, thanks @@MoonDog. EDIT: Nevermind, it seems to be a 1.4.0 thing, works fine on 1.5.0.
  14. Thanks everyone. I'll try sjc_kamino first and see how I get along with it.
  15. Right now no one is focused on graphical enhancements past what eezstreet did with QEffects, simply because everyone who knows how to code anything properly is busy working on fixing the thousands of bugs and error in the JA code already. Once that's all done, then perhaps we will see graphical improvements. There is a recreation of the JA assets going on currently, check the subforums and you'll see there is some work being done to improve base JA the way it is.
  16. Damn, that floor must've just gotten Zambonied.
  17. I don't know how that is supposed to help me as I don't know anything about the subject matter, heh.
  18. I'd like to see a source on this. I tried several Google searches and no sign of what you've discussed.
  19. There aren't numbers that I could find, but I do like how when asked about users in rural areas or other countries without steady internet Microsoft simply said "Buy a 360", essentially saying "fuck you". We know their stance on the "always on" concept, so saying "Oh we listened to the gamers, we care about them" is bullshit.
  20. I'm not sure about the scale and position of the head on his body... the head alone looks great though man.
