  1. I gave BS its due but eventually decided it was no good. Rather than make animations for diagonal movements like jka and aerial movements like jka/jk2, they instead added in silly combination movements that  like feel more like a witcher 3 movement that you can't really control than a jedi knight game. Also much of the strategy in the game seemed to revolve around timing a throwing star right so you could bull rush your opponent and throw him followed by spamming some more throwing stars for when he gets up from ground so you can try to repeat same thing.

It also seems that this thing was a HL mod they created a couple years before they ever put it on steam. Most of the game is just the same mod repackaged and for sale this time rather than just downloading it for free as before. No doubt it would have been a pretty cool mod, but as a stand along game it doesn't really cut it especially since the combat is inferior to the old stand by jk2/jka.

  2. Well jka had a defray server I played in at its height in ups…Rachel was the best racer

jk2 1.04 had a cpm race server that was popular for a year or two although its still around. Xamomax was probably the best.

jk2 1.02 still has a popular vq3 server. reMKoe was the fastest until he was banned for spamming names to take every top ten list. Dash may be as fast as him now but no one will know for sure.

Of the three racing servers, 1.02 had by far the fastest and most skilled players just because they play mostly ctf there unlike 1.04

Darthman is the best dueler I know, but overall skill I'd go with reMKoe.

This is a video I made back in the day from the jka race server ups.

  3. I usually don't react too emotionally, but I wish, I have never seen this page with all the titles.

Just looking through them briefly made me feel very sad, and yet there seemed to be so much optimism, so much fun and opportunity surrounding any of the games, that never saw their way beyond discussing ideas.

If so many were removed from the lucky ones, that we actually were able to play, then it's only fair and quite obvious, that we've seen so many people, starting making mods and unofficial mods. And this relates not just to Star Wars...

I played jk1 pretty hardcore just as much as jk2. Both I bought on the day they came out.

This thread reminds me of what I think every time I visit one of my favorite jk1 sites Massassi temple

It's essentially a dead game even more so then jk2\jka (i play more jk2 than jka) but people are still active there for some reason like here.

  4. I stopped using most entity lights because they grind the compiler so much.

I have an invisible shader that you can use to light ur map that would probably help you if you're interested.

Let's me make my maps at least 10 times larger although I do tend to have a lot of tunnels which this works esp well for.
