I've been around here on and off since JKHub opened in 2012. I can't help but notice that lately it seems like there are less and less people making mods and forum posts. Is this just me or is this something other people have noticed? It seems strange to me that now is the time that the site would start to die off. JKHub opened 9 years after Jedi Academy came out. You'd think there would be a lot more activity considering now Star Wars movies are coming out nearly every year.
I wonder why the last two or three years has resulted in the biggest drop of activity. My guess is that a lot of the original base of people who made mods have just grown older and moved on. It's a shame that there aren't enough younger people around to breathe some life into the site. I guess I can understand why though. JKA is like 15 years old now and it was always a niche game to begin with.

So for anyone who's been around JKHub for a while you may remember a total conversion mod that was being worked on that was essentially Jedi Knight 4 (or 3 if you don't consider JKA JK3) called Jedi Betrayal. I just wanted to post a little update here that the mod has officially been closed. We decided to gather everything we worked on for the project and then release all of our assets on Google Drive. You can view those assets here. We hope that there's something in the pack that might be useful to you guys.
Some notable things on the drive:- Our full Jedi Betrayal story summary document that's 16 pages long (should be in Ipsum folder)
- The (partially completed) script
- Three playable maps (Blenjeel, Manaan, Jedi Temple Duel)
- Some new player models made by AshuraDX (Devaronian Merc, Selkath, Fallen Jaden, Silooth beast)
- A pretty dope JK2-inspired HUD made by JasonBlack
- Tons of other stuff like map source files, .max files, textures, concept art, music remixes, shaders & more.
You guys are free to use any of this stuff in your projects as long as they aren't commercial.

Would it be possible to add the discord widget (link) to some place on JKHub? A lot of stuff goes on on the Discord that isn't here on the forums, and I feel like a lot of people don't even know about it. I certainly didn't until I happened to click the link a year late to the game.

Just wanted to post an update to this: After I iron out a few bugs I will begin work on the actual one-click mod install process. The buttons now work, so you can browse and search for any file on this site from the app.

Is there a "main" function in openJK? I've been looking at the code for a while and I can't seem to find where everything starts. I assume that there are at least two for the singleplayer and multiplayer code. I'm trying to find where the single-player code starts.
Edit:
its in shared/sys/sys_main.cpp -
I didn't realize this was still causing confusion. I updated the first post to show Wonko's mirror so this doesn't happen again.

I absolutely adore my Macbook Pro. Best computer I've ever had by FAR. I only run Windows on my main rig exclusively for gaming.

Listened to a few of your songs and they're actually pretty good. I quite liked Bird/Glass. Did you write any of the songs or did you just do the mixing/recording stuff?

Songs like that are part of why I think Yoda is my favorite character in the entire saga. His main theme is amazing.
I think the scene where he pulls the X wing out of the water is my favorite scene in the entire saga too.

Has anyone Frankensteined the Finn head onto this model so we can have Finn in a Stormtrooper uniform?

- What would you like to see in our development streams? Would you be interested in seeing code work, models, gameplay, maps?
Really pretty much anything and everything. Nothing there seems like it would be boring to watch, as long as you make good commentary to show what you're doing (like for code).
- What sort of music would you like as background in the streams?
How about some good music like this

Hell, near Hitler's prison block.

Star Wars: Episode IX

Jesus Christ, Disney needs to fuck off with the CGI animals. I instantly got flashbacks of that dumb scene with Finn and Rose riding around on those CGI donkeys. And really? Bows in Star Wars? This is the first I've even seen of Episode 9 since I haven't even bothered to watch the trailer and I'm already disappointed. Disney thinks they can lure fans of the old movies back into the theatre by throwing Lando in there and some cryptic lines from Palpatine. Fuck Kathleen Kennedy.
And also, is it just me or is the design of these movies just really bland? It seems like every new alien species they've added is a copy paste of the OT aliens. I'll give the prequel trilogy credit for at least having a great aesthetic design. Every new planet was crazy and unique and every alien was designed in such a way to look like it lived in that environment. Every single planet shown in these new movies looks like Tatooine and every alien looks vaguely similar to a reskin of the sand people.
This entire new trilogy has been made for no other reason than to just make Disney more money. They couldn't even come up with a worthwhile story to justify making a new trilogy. They killed off any character that mattered in the most anticlimactic way possible. It honestly feels like a disgrace to call it Episode 9. These new movies have barely anything to do with the previous 6. They need to call it Shit Star Wars FanFic Episode 3.
