  1. Definitely a map by someone like Sith-J-Cull, Darth NormaN or MaceCrusherMadunusus. Would like to NOT see any NPC's in the background.
  2. All those people wanting a tutorial on putting a model in game and someone comes out of nowhere proving that it's really not that hard by doing it without one.
  3. Eww, sketchup? No reason at all to use that software really. I don't think it's a big deal, it's just a movie played for free on youtube that no one makes any profit from.
  4. Well some companies (like the old LucasArts) were very protective of the sounds, even more so than the rest of the assets, a reason why no sounds can be found in the assets for SWBF1 or 2.
  5. Now you got me wondering, I'm working on getting Kain in game as we speak and I had planned on just using the voice recording sessions since there's no background noise to filter out but now I think it may keep my model from being hosted.
  6. I'm going to dedicate the time I can to get this thing in game and released now that I have the finished product from Psyk0Sith.
  7. The maul model will look bad in this engine, trust me, I used to mod those games, the detail on them is really low.
  8. SWBF1 and 2 models are super low poly compared to JA, they had to be when you have so many on screen at once. They don't look good up close in a game like JA. There is an import tool for Softimage that will bring any SWBF1 and 2 model with it's animations so it's really easy to port.
  9. I'm gonna bump this mad old thread up. So basically the Webroot that my ex paid for is about to run out and I'm not about to buy any antivirus, gonna try to go with Avira with the windows firewall combo (win7 x64), is that a decent setup for being totally free?
  10. Play as a lightside and use absorb like I do, you find yourself beating up all the little kids on the server.

  13. I wouldn't just send it out to anyone, just people who can offer valid input, mostly people who are familiar with mapping or at least a good amount of modding knowledge to be able to spot certain things.
  14. It's a gas giant, surely there are days where the weather doesn't let anyone outside, probably why there isn't anything more open, like an outdoor shopping area.

  16. Yeah, I like the old JO bespin maps, both SP and MP but I will second that some areas are too blocky, like say the platform with the 2 cloud cars, surely it can be more round.
  17. Needs a new model, IMO, reskins only look good if you're improving on an existing one, trying to make a model into something else just doesn't look good.
  18. @@Onysfx, the Q3a source has been out since 2005, where have you been? It's the whole reason people have been able to code for MP for so long but needed the acutal JO/JA source since the SP engine was too different.

  21. Yeah, I'd really like to see Phred return to JA now that the source has been out, I'm sure he could do some great things.
  22. Only things I can really see after looking at it very closely, could you maybe adjust the lips so that they aren't totally black? Maybe make them a little more like how some of the lines on his body are, you can see an example from the pic in this post. The other thing which is small as well, take out the shading that makes it look like he has nails at the ends of his claws. Cant wait to see how the swords textures come out!

  24. @, what did you expect? You're late to the game, so many greats have come and gone, I'm guessing you weren't around for the golden age in like 03-04.
  25. Almighty_gir, Psyk0sith, monsoontide, Kevin Coyle, Tonnces, razorace and Tim Appleby (actual JA dev turned modder) are missing from there. You're late to the modding game, so many great people have come and gone that you may not even be fully aware of.
