  1. I don't know, whether G.Lucas did approve all the stories the way we expect him to do that, but he was at least aware of what was going on, saw the concepts. More important, most of the pre-2000 stories were created, taking into account the traditions, some of which had been established by Lucas himself. The Dark Jedi Jerec is speaking, moving and actually looks like as if he were in the Original trilogy. Kyle Katarn himself, though has a simple costume, was inspired by the classic characters of the Rebel Alliance.
  2. The new Lego sets have been leaked recently, also revealing names of some new characters. In the new X-WIng set we see Poe Dameron and two other characters, one of which is actually an alien of the unknown species. The Millennium Falcon presents more characters, as you can see: Tasu Leech and Kanjiklub Gang member. Who are they? source For now we know of several more characters, which haven't been confirmed just yet: - Korr Sella (likely the child of the other Sella, who was mentioned in the recent rumours with Mon Mothma) - Kata Koio - Cloaked Messenger (as according to imdb) - Clan Leader (same here) Update: It seems many people in the web are discussing the Tasu Leech now. There are even a few pictures, some of which are not related to Ep7 most likely.
  3. SWU published an article about the leaked photos of the new Inquisitors in Season 2. While there is difficult to say anything about the Male Inquisitor, there's been many rumors regarding the female one. read more
  4. There is hope, that some elements from EU will re-appear as the new canon. Or at least there will be a homage to what fans liked previously. Kyle Katarn might come back, but as a different character, like some Rebel general, who betrayed the Empire. And in the newer games, related to Rogue One, he might be the main source of information on the new weapon, created by the Empire. He might be even an officer, stationed at the Maw installation, but left the Empire, knowing of the project. And later focusing on the (now canon again) Dark troopers.
  5. @eezstreet Actually it can. Even before GOG.com there were people, who managed to run this old game. It really does need an adaptation, visually and else. But a remake from a corporation has never been even 65% as good as the original. Usually in such case so many things are changed or even removed, that you get the feeling, that "something is not right". Instead of a reboot, I would pay more attention to new products. Lucasarts hasn't been too generous about new games in like a decade now. According to mojo.com, since 2010 almost nothing eye-catching has been released, while they praised a lot the Dark Forces, Jedi Outcast, Republic Commando, Empire at War and surely KOTOR among a few others. All these are the children of 2000s, not 2010s... That's a signal.
  6. @@DrXann After all that's where it all began. =) Palpatine for instance.) We can now be sure, that there won't be any Darth Plaguies in Episode VII. At comic con people asked about the Sith Lord, and the answer was quite very much direct - No.
  7. @@DrXann We already know, who plays Snoke. ) So he is most likely to appear as a hologram at least. SWU released a valuable information on what was happening in the Galaxy after Battle of Endor and before the events in Episode VII. Caution! Spoilers alert!!! We can see a connection here: with the Original Trilogy, with the now Legends content and the prequels as well. Source
  8. @@DrXann I only hoped, that some older characters would appear on screen. Given, that a lot of things have been revised, there was a chance, that everything including aliens would have changed since Episode VI. The early revealed pictures gave the impression, that the team wanted to hide any aliens from us, so any screen you see has humans for the most part. I am glad, that we see Sullustans and Mon Kalamari, because it's a signal, that the new film won't re-write any of the older species, but more like adding new aliens to Star Wars, as in Episode VII new and old ones will be seen side by side. I still wonder, whether we will see some Neimodians in the background or maybe Jawas some time later (Episode IX maybe). In the video above a few shots suggest, that the Rebels (Republic) are operating from their former base on Yavin IV (look at the walls and computers). According to SWU, another character is now revealed - General Hux, which serves the Empire (First Order).
  9. @@DT85 Some time in Autumn.
  10. There is already a mod for Battlefront II (old game) on Episode VII with new storms and X-Wing

I dunno, none of the new stuff looks all that great. I used to mod that game, the community is odd, no one pushes anyone so most of the content looks pretty amateurish.

    3. DrXann

      DrXann

A lot of the Empire/First Order(Remnant) are all reskins which look rather cheesy especially the Han Solo

      NumberWan

Yes, I also don't like the Han Solo reskin. However there are new ones as well. The X-Wing model is new for instance. Some troopers are reskins, while others are actually new.

  11. This one looks so great. I feel, that some people will most likely create general Veers if not already. If he ever appears in the Rebels show, then this model could also be used for the new appearance.
  12. Does anyone know, where the original background for Player Models Icons in JA can be found?

      Omicron

It's not in the assets (like it was for JK2). Use this instead:

  13. @@eezstreet I know both of them, and yes there is difference. Though when I opened the thread for the first time, either the title or some messages suggested the discussion was about the game, not the mod. My mistake then.
  14. There is actually a scene, when both Ahsoka and Kanan feel some sort of familiar presence, though for them that might be more as a glimpse of Clone Wars, a mark, that probably left a more significant impression on all of them.
  15. The protocol droid version in robe reminds of C-3PO wondering Coruscant in search of Padme, in the old animated series Clone Wars.
  16. I wonder, if the author of the Unreal JKO actually has an opportunity to play the locations above, move around and slash something with lightsaber before making the video itself.
  17. @ But Grievous meets Ahsoka, yet he fails to kill her. And there are other situations like this.
  18. @ Actually that applies to any scene. Take Indiana Jones for instance - there were dozens of cases, when the protagonist could have been killed by Nazis, Kali sect, Nazis again and Irina. =) Or Grievous? He smashed a swarm of zombies with ease, while he wasn't killing Obi Wan, and there are other scenes where he doesn't kill the other duelist. And you could say the same about many other instances. For what Othello killed Desdemona? For the plot!! Yes, it is plot convenience, even though I agree with some of your comments above. Otherwise the show would end with Season 1. KOTOR would end on Taris, The Force Unleashed somewhere on Kashyyk, Dark Forces II on Nar Shaddaa, and Episode IV in the "ass in space".
  19. It's not a coincidence, is it? jkhub.net for Dark Forces II and MOTS, jkhub.org for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. Legacy?

Putting "hub" at the end of something meant to be the "center" is common. Definitely coincidence that another community had the same name, otherwise I'm sure Caelum would have thought of a different name.

      afi

Then again jkhub.net is/was quite well known in the JK community

They could discuss a merge. jkhub.ORG is where its at. ;)

  20. @@Langerd Ordinary robes and most costumes as well. When playing a Jedi I expect a simple more peasant-like brown robe that of Obi Wan Kenobi in Episode IV, but what we have is a mixture of skirts and t-shirts with some plates. Even the Sith Emperor follows this strange trend in fashion.
  21. @@DrXann Which actor do you mean? I guess, Palpatine was only seen in TIE fighter games, or in some audio dramas. There is also a very good variant in Galactic battlegrounds.
  22. @ Well, there is a voice from TFU - and that is the Emperor in the very end of the episode. I must say, that I can still feel that's Saw Witwer, as his tone is very specific. It can be felt with Maul and the Son in TCW too.
  23. @@DT85 I have the same thought. I wouldn't recognize Gleeson there. I watched Ex Machina with him recently, and this one looks nothing like him. Perhaps it's the angle.
  24. Yes, there is a few blocks of news here. Lego reveals its BB-8 of bricks. Characters from the Original Trilogy revealed! Watch the gallery here Something very special here, another NEW character in this shot. Be careful. Source - http://www.starwarsunderworld.com
  25. Now that looked more like Star Wars. The scale of events is far larger than what we see in Season 1, and Vader actually acts and speaks the way he would. Perhaps it's of the voice, but probably the team managed to recreate the body language of the Sith Lord. I guess the next episode would involve the Clones.
