  1. This is a forum. All topics are discussions. I see no reason to shield any legitimate conversation from the public eye.
  2. It's a launcher.
  3. The short version of my opinions on this concept: Sound lame. Keep your JKG style launcher far far far FAR away from me. Sound awesome.

  5. Fair enough, however the way you worded this: makes it sound like the whole improving relations was a happy side effect of helping other clans grow, and besides, just allowing other clans to visit your server to advertise will create relations between you and that other clan anyway. I don't see how having an approval system can do anything but limit the opportunities to connect with other clans, and perhaps dissuade clans from visiting you and advertising who would have if you just allowed it. Forgive my cynicism, but I think if this truly was a selfless act of generosity towards other clans you would have just lifted the rule. I'd love to be proven wrong though, as the idea of parts of the JKA community connecting more and helping each other out is one that I approve of greatly.
  6. I cant help but feel a far more effective method of achieving the same result would be to lift your no recruiting rule entirely. It's not like Jawa is desperate for new members, and if people are already playing on your server, the chances are they have already decided if they fancy joining Jawa or not, so hearing about other clans on there isn't going to really make much difference. If your goal was really to be "selfless", as you said in your post, then its the obvious move. Just a thought.
  7. I keep meaning to finish this game. But the start is SOOOO SLOOW to get going that i die of bordum before i get to the real game...
  8. I totally didnt accidentlally derp my roman numerals and was talking about ff7.
  9. Not exactly news that this is the most awesome soundtrack about, despite being midi: far better than the actual game >.> edit: totally not edited.
  10. I assume you just add -notjunc to the run line for q3map2
  11. In what sense wont it work? Also, this is a pretty decent free sound file converter if you are struggling with audacity: http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html
  12. its an unrealted website.
  13. Metal guitarists should be large hairy men. Not young attractive girls. It has always been that way.
  14. I never used map-forge myself, so i cant comment on how good/needed it is, but personally, I think with the fragmented state of the jka community, we should try and keep all tutorials and stuff under one roof where possible. Way I see it, if you can make any jka related site into a part of jkhub, you should just do that instead. But again, I don't really know what map-forge offered, so this is just a generalisation.
  15. This: There is a lot more to any server than what is "good" or "bad" about it, as everyone's idea of what makes a good server varies. Honestly I think the very concept of "reviewing" servers in this way is ridiculous. What would make far more sense is to list out features of servers and let people make up their own mind based on what they are after. For example "The server rarely receives any outside traffic, besides their own clan members" could very easily be a "Pro" in some peoples opinion, if they were after a more close-nit community rather than hordes of fresh faces.
  16. I'm just going to point out that a some of your Cons are in fact Pros in many peoples books, and likewise, some of your Pros are Cons.
  17. The problem is knowing what to drag to where. I find it all about as compruendable as..... my spelling of "compruendable".
  18. That's kinda exactly what we have already done at length =P
  19. Scripts are for pussies =P Insane towers of entities all the way.

    Hey

    Heyo.
  21. No-one actually wants to see SW themed models though =P All the ones that more than one person will use have already been done.
  22. Doesnt ja++ have something similar? Or do i just have that installed and not noticed?
  23. @@Naythan okay, cracked it. This is slightly crazy. Basically, what was happening, was whenever you pressed the button, it would send a "pulse" up both the relay lines. As we go up the first line, we play the music and also activate the other relay. Our "pulse" would still be live on the other relay line when it was activated, so it would actually set off the first music, and instantly unlock, and set off the second music. My fix for this was to add a target_delay before each of the target_activates. Ensuring that our "pulse" had finished before the second relay was activated. Only downside is if you try to toggle the music again before the target_delay is over, it wont do anything. Wont break it though.
  24. @@Naythan hmm yeah, it isn't working for me now that I tested it...very mysterious...I'll give it more poking.
