  1. I'm not really following Tims ideas or trying to include the same promised features. Some of them may randomly be the same, but the main idea of the mod is to make it the most Authentic regarding star wars universe. This includes realistic SP missions, characters for SP as well as for MP.

    This Saturday 15:00 GMT on Official KotF 2.1 Server  the {C.i.S} clan is organising Role Play event to feel star wars universe once again! Everyone is invited and people with creativity are most welcome! The topic of role play depends on will of players. We are opened on propositions. Making own star wars stories or playing the scenes from original movies will guarantee great time for every star wars fan. In order to participate in the event, Knights of the Force 2.1 mod is essential. Any attempt to destroy the event like laming, spamming will result in getting kicked from the server. Post a comment below if You want to participate in this event.

  3. Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, but what is the plan for SP? Are you really going to try and create all the missions that Tim promised? Or are you going to update the features he worked on?

    All will come in time. At first I will just focus on making SP playable. By adding new player menu into game so that people can choose their favourite characters and lightsabers to play the original campaign. Of course, In the future I will make sure to improve the mod with new missions.

  4. I'm impressed how the responses to this mod are surprisingly positive. As I'm writing this, it has been downloaded 264 times, which is a good sign I think. The more people know of this mod, the higher will be the chance that more people want to get involved in this project, to make this mod even better.

    Any progress with the SP mode?

    Right now I am working on multiplayer bug fixing, I will post as soon as I make some progress with SP. 

  5. I am in need of help. So.. if anyone has some free time and want to speed Beta version release, there is something that doesn't require any modding skills but only some free time and patience. I'm talking about character descriptions. As you have noticed or not, there are 2 actual finished descriptions. For Bastila Shan and Carth Onasi in the old republic faction. You just have to copy character description from wikipedia and paste it in proper place in menu files. Eventually set \n thing that works like enter that creates a line. It would be most helpful. I can explain all details if anyone is willing to do it.

  6. Do you have any other mods installed? Make sure your base folder is clear, JKJA updated to 1.01 version. It doesn't need OpenJK to work. I don't really recommend using it right now - things may get buggy. Don't mess with kotf files unless you know what you're doing. If you find no other way try opening kotf_multiplayer.pk3 ----> and delete ext_data folder. You won't have any npcs though so you should treat that as a last available option.  Nobody had this issue before so I don't think it's kotf related problem. You must have installed something wrong or have mess in base files. Also try deleting every dll from "KotF" and ''base'' folder. Leave dlls in kotf_multiplayer.pk3 only - DONT DELETE THEM OR YOUR GAME WILL CRASH AT STARTUP. OpenJK has not been tested with this version , so as I stated before I don't recommend using it right now.

    thanks, I'll continue testing the rest of the maps with my friend today. hmm, CM_InvalidBevel is definitely something that should've been caught while the map compiled and it's interesting that it only works on base and lugormod. is the 'CM_InvalidBevel' a yellow warning message (meaning the map can still be played and that might not be what's stopping it from loading) or a red warning?

     

    EDIT: friend crashes on trying to load the 'Kamino Facility' map but I load it fine.

    he runs Windows 10 and has a Nvidia GPU and i5 CPU.

    I don't really know how to fix this man.

  8. friend and I have been a lot of fun playing this mod (he's new to the game but he's learning quickly). we're currently going through all the maps on the server. it seems that 'tattooineduel' classed as 'Tatooine Outskirts' is the only map that the server doesn't want to switch to. it seems to crash and then the server automatically restarts, but every other map transition is instant. I've had that happen with a few of my custom maps and it's usually because there isn't the right spawn point for the mode.

     

    EDIT: Naboo Hills also doesn't spawn the following vehicles:

    - Naboo Starfighter

    - Swoop variations

    - Droid fighter

    I fixed Naboo hills map, I will include it in beta version. Tatooine doesn't work but only on JA++ official server. I tested it on 2 other mods: base and lugormod and it works. So I suggest contacting Raz0r or whoever is responsible for JA++ to fix this. I edited spawn points and tried messing with entities, without any result though. The console says something abount CM_InvalidBevel thing. Unfortunately I have no .map file to edit brushes so I can only edit entities. Otherwise I would probably have it fixed. Thanks for the report anyways.

  9. Thanks for Your opinion Lancelot! Of course I plan to improve everything in further versions but it's impossible to do everything at once, so I focused on the most important - the content. By the way You could visit my server so we can play together with few others. Just set the server filter to KotF and join {C.i.S} Server. I'm playing there right now
