Not any specific for JKA yet. It seems really simple, as I said in this thread. I also mentioned @@Mandalorian has had success with his own method with it, but I think he's been too busy to write one up. I offered to be guided over Skype IM or something and then I'll write a tutorial once I get it down.

Fair enough. @@Mandalorian has a similar method and I was hoping he'd make one as well.

Happy Holidays! It's that time of year again folks, where we partake in the holiday tradition of giving and eating good food, for those of us who observe. Last year we tried out the White Elephant Gift Exchange, and it went well, but we have decided to go back to Secret Santa this year! How it works This will work just like it did before. Any registered JKHub user can participate in this (if you're not registered yet, click here). If you are certain you are both willing and able to spend time creating a (small) mod or present for someone, you can sign up by PMing a wishlist and a list of your abilities to the Secret Santa account. We will semi-randomly assign you another person to send a gift to. This means that the items on the list are somewhat able to be made by the person we choose. (list of skins assigned to a texture artist, etc) To answer your first question: no, the person you're sending a gift is not the same person who's sending you a gift. You will then have until December 23rd to make a gift for the person you have been assigned. For example, a neat graphic, a small mod, etc. You can go all out if you'd like, but it doesn't have to be something big. The gift does not have to be something that's on the receiving person's gift list, but it is of course preferable if possible. Feel free to make it personal, of course. That would make it warm and fuzzy and special. Once you are done creating your gift, you should PM it to the same account, Secret Santa. On Christmas Day (December 25th), you will be sent a gift anonymously. If you sent a gift yourself, you are guaranteed to receive one. If you fail to send a gift, you will not receive anything yourself. You can attach the gift to the PM or host it on a safe file hosting site like Dropbox or Mediafire. Things worth mentioning A couple things to make this as smooth as possible. Your list should not contain only gifts that are too large and unreasonable to create. For example, requesting a bunch of personal models would be unreasonable. Sure, feel free to request something large you've always wanted into one or two entries on your list, but have more modest entries as well. If we feel your list is too unreasonable, we will ask you to edit it. Your gift list should be reasonably broad or have some variation in it. For example, don't make your only request a map. Your Secret Santa might be someone who has no idea how to make maps. You must be a modder or artist of some kind to participate - be it a skinner, a mapper, or even a graphics designer. You must know how pk3 files work if making a mod, obviously. Some ideas (Be as detailed as possible with all requests you list): A forum signatureAn avatarA recoloring of an existing skinA very small, modest map (It's up to the mapper to go beyond small and modest if he/she wants to)A modest model, such as a very simple saber hiltA very, very modest code modThe list goes on, but in any case, be detailed in what you want, and remember to have some variety in listing what you want, in case someone does not have the time, motivation or skill needed to fulfill a specific request. There seems to be an issue with the holsters, so redsaurus is going to look into it soon.

Shouldn't need much more change to the color. I like the green, it was just a bit too bright and plain before. Looks better now. All these hilts will be used though, that's why you posted your designs, no?

What is the tag name then? Rooxon made it "tag_holster", but wouldn't it need to match what you set it as?

Alright, let's ease up. Yes, he's requested a lot (and he knows that), but let's just leave it. If someone wants to take up the request, great. No need to go slightly off-topic with why he should stop requesting, when it's not really hurting anyone.

That's if they get the new skeleton finished. It hasn't been worked on in awhile I don't think. I can give you some stuff to work on if you'd like.

I'm still up for experimenting with sounds, yeah, but I can't promise it'll be soon as the end of the semester is basically here and I'll be busy with my school audio projects and other schoolwork. But yeah I'll definitely get to them at latest by my winter break in a few weeks.

I'm not a huge fan of the green. Maybe if it were more obvious what the texture/material is supposed to be, but right now it looks kind of awkward. The shaders make it look a bit better, but I think going back and making sure the textures themselves are as good as they can be before relying on shaders. I say this because I know you are a great texture artist and can do it. Also I think the hand tag (whatever its called where the hand goes) should be a tad higher. The left hand was at the very bottom of the hilt in-game. The staff hilts will probably be holstered on the back, is my guess. Still need @@redsaurus to verify this stuff and implement the new tags. I don't think it would look very good for a half meter hilt to be hanging from the belt. @ those look good. Maybe for the Alora hilt on the right, widen the base of the hilt a little bit like you did the top.

Sounds cool, but won't happen in JKA, so not much of a point to have that.

Probably not too far from the bottom. Basically where you think a saber would be holstered on a belt. An example would be if it were the Stinger hilt in your signature, the protruding ring at the bottom would be good I think. But it'll be a trial and error thing.

Gonna bring this up again, since @@Rooxon is back at it. I'd love for a test model with the new tag, to see how this will look.

She starts with single saber, when you fight on the Hoth mission (which she uses all 3 styles, not just blue). She then progresses in her training, as Jaden has, and then uses dual sabers. She's scripted to use two of the default sabers that Jaden could possibly have. We should definitely give her some unique ones, that aren't necessarily identical like a lot of dual wielding Jedi/Sith seem to have in Star Wars lore. I recommend creating two unique designs.

@ looks perfect now. As far as naming it, I think your full name Zefilus would be a cool name for the saber. I was thinking about the cultists sabers actually. A lot of people complain how plain it is and how all of them carry the same hilt. But I think that's the point. They are soldiers that were given Force sensitivity, so I'm sure they mass produced saber hilts and passed them out. So they should all look the same in that regard. With that said, I don't think the vanilla hilt resembles that very well. I actually like what @ has done with that. First of all, it looks better than the original, and second, it looks more like a mass produced saber. @@Rooxon with all that said, we can still use your Stinger that you made, since it looks tons better than the original too. Could give it to one of the reborn twins or Tavion or something.
