Cerez Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 -What is the structure behind the Knights in the vision (look at the right upper corner)? I believe that's a spaceship...
NumberWan Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 I actually believe that to be a temple. And it reminds me greatly of this one" The Imperial Palace on Coruscant, as seen in Dark Forces II Dark Side ending. But I am sure, the vision takes place on a different world. Maybe the battle ended in failure for the Jedi Order, when they travelled to some planet, where they were much more easily destroyed, than on their HQ world (which may or may not be the former base on Yavon IV). Strangely, that I missed this rumour on another location fro Episode VIII: It is said, that a few scenes were created in Bolivia, in the area with reddish-orange ground, which is covered with salt. Some say, it's a new planet, which is like Mars, covered with snow, or perhaps that is salt. And some assume, this is the main base of operations for the First order, where Snoke is hinding. Here are a few pictures of the place, which I looked for in the web:
NumberWan Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 Here are two... pictures, which reveal almost nothing from Episode VIII, but yet the one is the box cover for toy products for Star Wars, coming in September, while the second one shows the First Order stormtroopers - a shot posted by Rian Johnson. Some say it's Tom Hardy on the second picture. z3filus likes this
LucyTheAlien Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I think it gives away a couple things, one being Rey at least isn't marketed yet with her own lightsaber, two Finn isn't a paraplegic; and he seems to be wearing something... under the jacket.
NumberWan Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 So, we now know, that "The Last Jedi" differs in one little way from Return of the Jedi title, for instance... In several translations, including German, Spanish and Russian, the Jedi are plural in the title, which means, that perhaps the last Jedi are Rey and Luke, or maybe someone else more. Perfect for a dream, or even a vision. Especially those Salt Flats; It's also not impossible that they visited the location to shoot some CGi background material. Cerez and LucyTheAlien like this

z3filus Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I guess they have to write a scene where Leia takes off to.. I dunno, fight her battle in the politics?Cutting onions here, but I hope they'll add "In Memory of Carrie Fisher & Kenny Baker" at the end, because don't forget, we lost R2D2 last year as well. NumberWan Posted February 25, 2017 Author Posted February 25, 2017 It's also curious, that they start filming Episode IX later this Summer. Personally it's somehow unusual for me to put I and X for Star Wars... Because usually we used I or V for Episodes. There's been an unconfirmed leak about what the trailer would show us. The video would start with Finn again this time, now in the hospital room aboard a ship perhaps, with Poe appearing in the room in a moment later. The rumour suggested we would see the casino planet briefly, as well as Leia – probably walking to a ceremony, devoted to Han Solo. There is another rumour, which includes the names of Lego sets. Not very special, as we can't see them, but the titles do give some hints. It's most likely a fake. 75176: Finn's Escape 75177: Karp's Airspeeder 75179: Siege On Mar R'havar 75187: Kylo Ren's Advanced TIE Fighter 75188: (TBC Official Name) Resistance Fighter 75189: First Order Star Destroyer 75190: Luke's Jedi Temple (Ach-To) Yes, one position from the list was part from another rumour, suggesting we would see a very new design in large known ships.

A re-enactment of a certain scene from ESB >_> and because they've already copied stuff from the OT, it makes this rumor sound legit. " it worked in the past, so lets do it again! NumberWan Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 So it's almost a week until we see something from The Last Jedi like a trailer. But the rumour claims, that today we might know the name for one of the planets in the story.Canto Bight – this is the world, which was made with the set in Dubrovnik. It's sort of a known name for gamblers in Star Wars, as it's the location of various casinos, as stated before. There might be a lot of things copied from OT in Episode VIII, but this city doesn't look like Hoth or Cloud City, and it also includes a chase through the streets. Cerez likes this
Cerez Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Canon Blight I look forward to seeing historical Dubrovnik as a Star Wars stage -- it should be quite beautiful. Also, very much looking forward to seeing the trailer (finally), and seeing what they've been working on, and how they've changed their approach/ways (if at all). NumberWan Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 There've been several rumours about The Last Jedi in the last 2 weeks. One notable rumour is about Benicio Del Toro character: It is suggested he is playing a very rich person in extravagant dress with mix of Han Solo classic clothes from A New Hope. It is very likely he is actually a crime lord, which spends time on the casino planet. He also has a very elegant starship, which some compare to Queen Amidala's royal ship from Episode I, mixed with Star Trek transport. Less reliable sources indicate, he might be playing another member from Knights of Ren, or perhaps even Admiral Thrawn (unlikely). Some bit about Laura Dern's character. She is playing a very important figure within the Republic, actually called by some people as Admiral Holdo. She has several formidable ships at her disposal, and she would play an important role in dividing the Resistance into two fractions. Notably she doesn't look like generals of military in Episode VII, her clothes are closer to the prequels era figures. Also her ship includes round towers, which remind of The Clone Wars ships, landing on Geonosis in Episode II. In general it is said, that Episode VII was quite a peaceful time for the Resistance, while it won't be anything like calm in Episode VIII. A bit about Droids. BB-8 would spend most of his time with Finn, as well as with his new companion ("Rose"). Aside from that we'll see other BB-8 droids, which are older, rusty and of a slightly different design. There was a rumour, that BB-8 would be recoloured into black to go undercover in the First Order area, just like Chopper does that in Rebels TV series. Something about Snoke and his stuff with the Order Snoke would shown in the flesh in TLJ, as many already know. Unlike his hologram, he wears sort of a golden cloak with ornaments, and also his has a ring with a black Kyber crystal. Everything he possesses would indicate, that Snoke really enjoys wealth and can't imagine his life without it. He doesn't have a tower or his own capital like Palpatine though, instead his "castle" is hidden within a mega star destroyer, which serves as the mobile base for the First Order. At his disposal are also some sort of new guards, possible looking like Red Royal guards of Palpatine, but with a newer design (there was indeed a picture of these guys on the set), while there is also a rumour, that a new fraction would be introduced as well – some sort of Praetorian guards (as they are called for now), who stand above Knights of Ren). It is also said, there would be a new kind of AT-ATs, which are much larger than the original transports. This is where, I fear, the film would remind greatly of The Empire Strikes Back. New Stormtroopers. Captain Phasma returns to avenge her foolish demise in TFA, this time with sort of staff in her hands. She is also accompanied here by two Stormtrooper Executioners. Basically they look like the new troops, but with black stripes, as well as some new weapons. It was said, one of the ordinary stormtroopers in the story is played by Tom Hardy, who would recognize Finn at one point. In any case a lot of things would be revealed with the new trailer and the special panel for The Last Jedi during the Orlando Celebration on April 14th. We simply have to wait. Circa likes this

NumberWan Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 Rose is a new character. It's not the real name from Star Wars, but the one used for now as alias
z3filus Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Kinda obvious that we're talking about a new character. Has anyone got any info on this?
NumberWan Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 She is played by Kelly Marie Trun. Her character is believed to be on the Casino planet (Dubrovnik). She saves Finn from some kind of enemy, and they move through the city on some sort of a horse. Later she is revealed to be a First Order agent, sent by Cpt.Phasma, who wants to punish the former stormtrooper for his disobedience. Also Billy Dee Williams confirmed – he is not in The Last Jedi. EDIT: We now have a picture of her (and yes, that's her real name). It is confirmed, that she serves the Resistance. However I do believe, she is a traitor.

NumberWan Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 I enjoyed it, but it only includes the most important things (and it's normal). The main characters, the main villains, the main theme. In many ways the designs remind me of Rogue One, to tell the truth, I mean the ships scenes of course. Some other parts do provide some answers and questions: We now know, that there is a cave on the island of Ach-To, where Rey enters to explore various sides of the Force it seems. The very first shots show us Rey leaving the cave after grand experience, like the one on Dagobah. One shot with Rey's hand reminds me of Star Wars: The Old Republic latest trailer. They also published a teaser poster. Circa likes this

General Howard Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 All this kinda' makes me wish that Disney hadn't discontinued Disney Infinity.. A whole new Playset for "The Last Jedi" (and even "Rogue One") would've been great!
NumberWan Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 The poster doesn't show it, but the trailer does have this – Kylo Ren seems to be having yellow eyes. Also at least one shot wasn't clear for me – the so-called library. It's like a dark tree with some books. Some claim it's from Yoda or the old Jedi Temple. We now finally see the new ships, moving like podracers in Episode I, to tell the truth. And AT-ATs ad the distance.
