This is why spare harddrives are vital. Even though yes, Cloud Storage can help too, there's nothing that beats a physical backup just in case the Cloud Storage or Mega goes to the abyss.

New Grand-Scale Mod Announcement
TheWhitePhoenix replied to colonel-the-general's topic in WIPs, Teasers & Releases
That's exactly what I was thinking. No images, no previews, just a request to join a discord server. This shit is starting to scream an attempt to do what TimFX did with KOTF before @@Fire Phoenix and @@Linken took it off his cold hands and made it right. I'm literally having my eyebrow raised to the point where it touches the ceiling and I'm sure everyone else is at this point. -
Don't feel bad about it. I don't and I never will either.

Seems you're an older Expanded Universe Bird, as you got into it when Dark Forces was just getting off the ground. Welcome.

Improved force grip and mind trick in JO/JA ?
TheWhitePhoenix replied to dg1995's topic in Mod Requests & Suggestions
I wouldn't mind that as long as Mind Trick 4 is kept. Mind Trick 4 is useful for machinima purposes or a good laugh if you want to make NPCs jump off a cliff yourself. -

Maybe some expanded plot, too?

What colour would your lightsaber be if you were a Force wielder?
TheWhitePhoenix replied to MagSul's topic in Latest Poll
Cyan. That color always reflected on me the best. -
So I've had this idea in my head for a bit, but I was wondering if someone could make this: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/3/36/YoungObiWan-JA01.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20061214161403 It looks to be a blend of Obi-Wan's first and third Lightsaber designs, which is actually an interesting concept. Even though there wasn't (as far as I'm aware) in-lore "lore" about this as it might just be artwork, it would be nice to have if anyone is interested.

Jedi Outcast mission and mp maps support.
TheWhitePhoenix replied to Maksman's topic in Knights of the Force
The best compensation to GET PAST the whole piracy thing @@Linken mentioned is to do what essentially made the JKO/JKA mods work: Port the Assets over to the JKA base, rename them 0_assets0 etc, then...you're good. JUST MAKE SURE you own BOTH games. If you own both games, then that's okay as far as I know. But having KOTF itself host the mod, no. Not gonna happen. -
Is the Jedi Knight 2:Lady Jedi worth to play ?
TheWhitePhoenix replied to dg1995's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
Mass Effect 3...so much potential to lead to so little conclusion.... -
Is the Jedi Knight 2:Lady Jedi worth to play ?
TheWhitePhoenix replied to dg1995's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
That...just makes me want to use the Dark Side ending cause I want it to be serious. And I played the ending of Wild Force ONCE. I couldn't understand a thing but from the actions that were shown to me, the main character's sacrifice was supposed to mean something. -
Is the Jedi Knight 2:Lady Jedi worth to play ?
TheWhitePhoenix replied to dg1995's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
You are not mistaken about Communication Force and Lady Jedi, but Wild Force is on moddb only. That CAN change, though. And I kinda saw the light sided ending of Lady Jedi. :spoilers: She...calls Luke his buddy and that's it...? Wha...? -
I was wondering if you were alive. This actually could give people opportunities to show off their JKA videos. Whether it be an ongoing machinima like what I'm doing or a film, it could be good to show around. Give people some interaction with hopes of improving their own work by exchanging notes.

Clone Wars Anakin Realistic Version WIP
TheWhitePhoenix replied to RevanKnight's topic in WIPs, Teasers & Releases
Will you be making a Season 3 type body for him too? The recent season is already close enough to EP3 Anakin, and even though you could always use Hapslash's Anakin for Season 3 as well, I wanted to ask anyways. -

Jedi Academy styled artwork

I...think I know how this is going to go. But Luke could also dodge it and the saber could stab Starkiller in the head instead. You never know. -
Been a Machinima maker for a long time, Dash. Recently started on season two of my most recent series, which you can watch here if you want: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/thewhitephoenix/ Now...if you want to film in JKA for a machinima, be sure to use keybinds for console commands as they are vital. Say you need to noclip to move the camera around during scenes such as watching npcs fight or scenes where the character is "talking", you bind that command to your n key. Say you want to freeze and unfreeze npcs, bind d_npcfreeze 1 to v, d_npcfreeze 0 to b. I also recommend binding commands for meditate, taunt, gloat and flourish if you need those commands as well as the give force command if you want UNLIMITED POWA!!!! I also recommend for keybinds to put undying on so you can take damage, but not die. This in turn makes it seem like your character is in pain. Also, hide the hud with cg_draw2d 0, but be sure to turn it back on incase you need it when not filming. cg_drawhud won't work cause the cursor will still be present, and that takes away from the immersion. You will also need knowledge in modifying NPC files and Saber files, if you want custom stuff for certain characters. Learning that isn't actually hard at all and is quite easy when you get down to it. There's some tutorials on the hub you can use if you want to be sure. And if you want to get into the nitty and gritty, I suggest you learn how to do skinning or even your own frankensteins. @@Maui Made a tutorial a while back which shows how to use Blender for JKA frankensteins. If you wish to go an extra mile, here's his playlist. For mods you need, you can use this one by @@Noodle if you want to use certain animations for characters to use that aren't normally accessable: https://jkhub.org/files/file/3280-animations-menu-for-sp-beta/ You will also need a mod that can modify the camera. While KOTF 2.1 has something like that, I'd recommend this (which you can also use with KOTF) since it has more options: https://jkhub.org/files/file/1829-camsp/ AND finally, you will need something like this if you want npcs to remain still or for some other special things you want it to do, I'd recommend using this badass: https://jkhub.org/files/file/3206-singleplayer-runscripts/ Finally, you will also need a capture program like Bandicam that can capture the JKA window. I recommend Bandicam cause if you want to film for a set time (if you play in windowed mode like I do), you can watch how much time has passed since recording and then stop when that time you want to record for is reached. Just a forewarning that the free version only records for 10 minutes and has the bandicam icon on every shot, but that's no big deal since I'm sure you can get the full version. Unless you have a recording program already that is capable, as I'm sure you already do. Good luck, Dash.

Ahhhhh, the Shyrack. Annoying freaks to low level KOTOR II players if they try to go to Korriban on the first or second Jedi Master hunt.
