  1. I was playtesting the Jedi pack over the weekend. I'm struggling to get some of the characters (the Nautolans + the Cathar specifically) to work well in base JKA. Even when adding LODs they are experiencing a 'transform' error. Once I can solve that the pack is ready to upload. (It works fine in OpenJK).
  2. I had not considered this, but I'll take a look. Should theoretically be straightforward.
  3. Yes, I was testing the misc alien Jedi in-game yesterday. They seemed to work well (in OpenJK at least). I haven't playtested K'kruhk fully yet though.
  4. And some more Jedi. Planning to add some female characters into the mix next:
  5. A few WIP updates today - Inspired by her recent appearance in Tales of the Underworld, I worked on revamping my old Ventress bounty hunter kitbash. Interestingly, there was already a newer version of that kitbash floating around the Internet, where someone had improved on my original with some nice retextures and some extra meshes (like the energy bow). I have included these in my own revamped version, which includes a modified Dark Disciple hair mesh and some much-needed improvements on the weights (especially in the hip/waist area). I've also upscaled several of the textures for a better overall appearance: I've also settled on what I think will be the third and final version of Tholme: And have started work on a pack of Jedi alien variations. I imagine this will be particularly popular with RP players. I started work on a similar pack years ago but I don't think I ever released this. I am making this one again from scratch. (Note on the robe textures: the release version will just give them standard Hapslash textures, since the ones in the previews are sourced randomly and might include people's personal skins that I don't have permission to distribute):
  6. Continuing the theme of revamping old kitbashes of Republic-era Dark Horse comic characters:
  7. Never say never, but unlikely I could/would do this any time soon. I think Jeff did most of the Dark Lords of the Sith at one point though - this might already been done?
  8. Yeah, I'll eventually figure out where it came from so I can allocate credit accordingly. Regarding RGB, it's admittedly something that hasn't crossed my mind. I could look into it, potentially. I don't have anything against adding it if it isn't too much hassle. May 4th weekend is over, but I spent some of it revisiting some old Dark Horse comics from the Legends days. It prompted me to revamp some existing models for some favourite EU characters:
Really cool pack! Very nice to see prominent characters like Sheev getting modern revamps.
  9. Disappeared down a rabbit hole when it came to filling out the ranks of the Republic Navy. Will need to compile a full credits list before anything is released (I'm not 100% sure who made the trenchcoat and poncho meshes, for example. Possibly an early draft of Vade Parvis' work?): The human officer (on the left) currently has 24 face variations (using the Spanki Human Male template)
  10. Started working on a Republic-era reskin of the Imperial officer, based on the uniforms worn by Yularen, Tarkin, etc in the Clone Wars show:
  11. Sorry to necro the thread, but does anyone know if Vade ever released his version of the female Imperial officer?
  12. Tried iterating on the Tholme - I kept the hair from the old head model but attached it to a new head model. Version 1: Version 2:
  13. I appreciate the kind words Zander! Playing around with clone skins tonight:
  14. These must take you such a long time to make! Good work.
  15. Just been catching up on the art threads and - wow! Amazing work here, very cool.
  16. Nice art thread, very cool pieces here.
  17. These are fantastically well made! Really faithful adaptations. Plagueis is one of my most re-readable Star Wars novels so I loved the attention to detail captured here. How do you do the (I assume) computer-generated lip-syncing?
  18. It's been a while. Gave in to some nostalgic curiosity and decided to come back to JKA a few days ago. Not sure if I'll be sticking around long-term or not, but I have a couple of small projects I'd like to make a reality, at least. Knocked up a couple of WIPs while relearning all the old tricks:
  19. Wow! A lot of these look amazing. Love the Plagueis and Krayt models in particular, and looking forward to the TK trooper.
  20. Hi all, been getting several messages here and elsewhere from folks asking for some of my uploads that have been removed from the Hub. Posting here for any future PMs - - All my old JKA stuff is on an old PC. I still own the machine, but I'm not planning on going through it any time soon so will not be able to provide any direct downloads. I'm happy for anyone to share any links they have though or upload it elsewhere. Credit for myself appreciated but not mandatory, credit for the makers of the source material (when it comes to kitbashes, etc) should be required though. - I'm not planning on returning to JKA modding any time soon. Still love the game and the community, I just don't have the spare time to commit to the modding scene! - The Hub is perfectly within its rights to remove any content it doesn't want to host. I'm not interested in badmouthing the site, nor am I annoyed by their decision.
  21. "Long have I waited..." Awesome stuff, this is enough to get me to fire up JKA again for the first time in a long while ?
