So, I was thinking, what if I rigged each character as I make them to only one bone, so they don't really work ingame, then provide a link here for you guys to download it and reskin it yourselves. It will still spawn ingame and will be viewable in modview, it just won't have any anims >=) Then we will have a poll here and whoever gets voted the best reskin can have the fully rigged character. I just ask that you don't mass distribute the model i.e. upload it here. Just keep it, share it with some friends, and keep it as an award or something. First to go looks like the felucian most likely once I redo his head. @@therfiles @@Circa What do you guys think? Can I ask you to put up a poll section maybe once a month or so to this Overview section? Does it make sense to everyone? This will be an easy way for me to get some better skins since I suck at texturing, and also to get some of the work out and bug checked. I also feel like a douche for never releasing anything because I want to keep the mod as a whole. As long as everybody is cool and doesn't really mass distribute each model I'm cool.

  6. Well I went and took some ref pics and it would seem I have the head completely screwed. I will start over with the head for the most part. The body isnt exactly matched up either, but I want the little arm to function and I like it looking like this. I will fix the head though ref pics
  7. you know what? I just tried that and to be honest it didn't help much at all it would need to be really broke down to be able to match even the shadows I already have baked in. I will keep messing with it though. I think it did a pretty good job at sticking with it do you mean the details in the face or body or what? Oh and to answer your question yeah it is subdivided too many times it would be a monster Here is what I have with the low poly mesh so far The reason I sculpt it all out is to make texturing easier and to get normal maps for future use
  8. To be honest thing this is pretty low quality at it's lowest subdivision. It's at a low enough count that I will leave it at second lowest and go through and manually delete the unused edge loops. I just really am being a hog on the verts at the end product is why some things look wonky. I will see what I can do if it is that much better. I resized him anyway so I need to go back a few steps so it works out perfectly
  9. Whatever you make could definitely be used. I just lost my midi controller or I'd be getting down as well trying to get some good push and repulse sounds going or something
  10. word there is the low poly mesh in texture decal mode. I kinda screwed up the shadows so I will go back and render a few more out and try to get it all a bit more defined but it came out like almost exactly like the zbrush model with everything all baked together
  11. Just a quick look at how the low res is holding together I plan on having better muscle definition in there so I will see what I can do with some shadow maps.
  12. yes according to the refs thats exactly whats going on @@therfiles.. I think it will be cool once I get some color variations and some different masks. I just think it's cool that if you spin the model around it shows the felucians face, as in tfu the masks were a bit better fitting and you never really saw behind them. should tunr out cool. For 2 days work I can't complain Then I have to make the armor and mask for the shaman version. This is obviouldy just my first attempt at painting him. I have him saved with just the skin tone. I will go back and do a bit better job with the drips and smears soon. I still need straps for his mask See how you can see his eyes through the mask? Should be cool if I make them glow disregard the straps in his stomache I was playing around with brushes and decided I would rather just extract them in Softimage
  13. Got him all unwrapped now so I will start playing with some textures and see what I get
  14. You should put a fake reflection on them like the helmet of Shiftee's Sith Stalker
  15. Some work on a mask, the sticks will have to be fixed in Softimage I'm not screwing with it right now Low poly version even without alpha mapping the sticks including the mask and hair and cloth is 2800 tris 1700 verts
