    Can anyone recommend me any good star wars games or books to play/read? (Not Kotor or TOR, can't play either of those)

      Yeah, KotOR 2 really is the best SW game, especially if you get the restored content mod.

      The Super Star Wars games emulated from the SNES. They are like Contra with lightsabers.

      My favorite SW books are the Darth Bane trilogy. I'll speed read them by just reading his and Zannah's parts.

    Does anyone know of a mod I can use for base jka that allows me to holster weapons on my playermodel?

      Try with OJP basic http://www.gamefront.com/files/4542170/Open_Jedi_Project_Basic__v0_1_0_

      and seta ojp_holsteredweapons "2" (client side)

      You can try to put OJP basic files in your base folder to enable the holster on all basejka servers.

      Yeah, also JA+ will do that provided JA++ is not instead.

       

      Would be nice if JA++ had that feature.

      Oh. I realize now it has to be a code mod for holstering, I was hoping I could use it with another mod. Thanks for the info though guys, I suppose it's not that important to show holstered weapons.

    Downloaded and tried to run Kotor on this PC due to popular demand. Fails to run, crashes on startup. Did everything, W7 fix, 1.03 update, compatibility mode, THE GAME JUST WON'T RUN. Well, that's a waste of 3.4GB bandwidth...

      i tried playing KOTOR on a windows 7 is launches, but then crashes.

      Works perfectly on 7, 8 and 8.1. With fixes an in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode (as far as I remebmer).

    Found a cool emulator called RetroArch. Is another emulator for many consoles (snes, N64, playstation), but can run on linux, mac, pc, playstation 3, ipad, etc.

      There's some really good N64 emulators out there, some of them oddly are found on Android devices (of all places)

      Of course I've tried project64 xD. I've been using N64 emulators since 2007.

    Horrible news. I couldn't run Deus Ex. No matter what I did. Then I disabled DEP on the program. It then ran fine. Then that means that could have been the problem with KOTOR. And if that's so...I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD 3.4GB AGAIN! More bandwidth wasted...

      Read Plato. Anything really, but try Gorgias or Phaedo. Or jump straight into Republic. Or read Nietzsche - Beyond Good and Evil is a great start, but so is Gay Science's book 4.

      Aristotle is a bit more dry, but his Nicomachean Ethics is phenomenally good. Alternatively, you could pick up Seneca's essays, especially de brevitate vitae or de vita beata. They're short and really good.

    I solved my openGL problem. No more need for GLdirect for JKA, I can now play minecraft, and run so many other programs that I've been unable to run for 5 years....

      That's still odd that you have to replace opengl32.dll in system32 with *anything* :( It should be your graphics drivers that keeps that file up to date.
